Elder Pup sighed in relief.
'Don't ever think about it. My wife had to go through difficult trials and tribulations to become an angel before eventually ascending as a goddess. I don't want you to let go of that strength just because of that stupid boy.'
Elder Duckling said nothing, and Odette realized that she wished Odette would've given her grace to save their daughter-in-law.
Odette lowered her head out of guilt, and murmured, "S-sorry, Elder. I… I am not as good as you think…"
'Wife, you shouldn't pressure her like that. She's her own person,' Elder Pup scolded.
Elder Duckling sighed, 'I should be the one who apologizes, Odette. I am desperate to find a way to save my son. I regret not using my power as a goddess to save our daughter-in-law. I was scared that I'd lose my grace and divinity as a goddess in the process.'
