7 Felt Love Again

Never imagined my life would turn out like this. The night I spent with Gabriel, I was vulnerable. He was handsome, kind, and carried this calm confidence that made me feel seen. I was drawn to him without meaning to be. It was supposed to be just a moment… something I'd forget. But I didn't.

After that night, everything fell apart. I caught my fiancé—now my husband, Luca—cheating. First, with suspicious behavior, then seeing Emma coming out of his room, and later, I walked in on them… on our matrimonial bed. My heart shattered. He didn't even try to explain.

I decided I wanted a divorce.

And just when I was trying to rebuild myself, to focus on work, I walked into a meeting—and saw Gabriel.

The same man who gave me comfort… who made me forget my pain, if only for a night… was now standing in front of me again. As the buyer of 50% of our company's shares.

He looked even more handsome in his suit, more powerful than I remembered. My heart raced. I didn't know if it was fate, or another twist to break me—but I wasn't ready to face him. Not again.

The lawyer confirmed that both parties had signed the legal documents for the company shares. Everything was finalized. Luca later called, instructing that once the buyer paid, I should transfer the money directly into his account.

It was done. All legal. All official. And yet… something about it didn't sit right with me.

Gabriel stood beside me, watching it all unfold. "We've been through a lot today," he said, his voice low and smooth. "Can I get you a drink?"

His words caught me off guard. That voice, his eyes—it all came rushing back. That night… the way he held me, the warmth of his kisses, the way he made me forget everything—even if just for a moment.

"I'm sorry for leaving you like that," Gabriel said quietly, his eyes meeting mine. "Let me make it up to you. One drink. That's all."

I hesitated, my heart pounding. "Okay."

Before we left, I quickly instructed my secretary to transfer the funds to Luca's account. Then we headed downstairs. Gabriel's driver opened the car door for us. As I stepped in, I glanced at him.

"Where are we going?"
