{You gained a new skill: Blood Grain Lv1.}

{Blood grain: Take the blood of any target, and host gain their vitality.}

Draven remained seated, his gaze fixed on Alice, who lay naked and deeply asleep on the table.

"Hmm..." he murmured, his eyes scanning the information that had materialized before him.

{Name: Alice Fury.}

{Age: 21.}

{Race: Human.}

{Class: Mid Sky.}

{Aspect: Assassin.}

{Virgin: No.}

{Intimacy: 1 Blowjob. 1 Anal. 1 Sex.}

{Affection: 90.}

{Rewards: 30 point.}

{Information: There is a parasite in her.}

A sigh escaped Draven's lips as he rose from the chair. "I despise it when my women are manipulated."

He moved towards the table where Alice lay, extending his hand directly above her head.

WHOOSH!

A crimson rune blazed into existence on his palm. With a swift clenching of his fist, a worm-like creature shot upwards from Alice's head, and Draven deftly caught it.

"Mmm..."

Alice's eyelids fluttered open. She blinked, her gaze settling on Draven for a lingering moment, before she slowly pushed herself into a sitting position.

"Why do I feel so lightheaded?" she mumbled, her voice thick with sleep.

"Well... this is likely the reason." Draven held the tip of the wriggling creature between his fingers.

"This??"

Shock widened Alice's eyes. "You... you removed it?" she asked, her gaze fixed on the creature in his hand.

"It's nothing of consequence... Such petty tricks are rather embarrassing. If you don't mind my asking, who placed this inside you?"

"Boco... He said with that inside me, he would be content and secure."

"Ah... So he fears your potential for betrayal. Well then." Draven's grip tightened around the creature, and in an instant, it crumbled into dust.

"Why did you align yourself with Boco?"

Alice lowered her gaze to the floor. "We women with the demon eye are reviled and hunted by the church and other races... We face immediate execution upon capture. Staying with Boco seemed to offer the only semblance of safety," she explained, her eyes lifting to meet Draven's, a flicker of newfound hope within them.

"But now I have you... I know I cannot erase these demon eye, but will I be safe with you, Lord Draven... won't I?" she asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.

"Don't fret," Draven said gently, ruffling her hair. "You have survived this long, which indicates a strength within you."

"Actually... I possess a skill that has allowed me to conceal my demon eye," she revealed.

"That is even more advantageous... Do not worry, I am here now. I will ensure that women with demon eye attain their freedom... Trust me," he said, a reassuring smile gracing his lips.

"Master... this Alice will trust you eternally," she declared, her voice filled with admiration.

{Alice's Affection: +5.}

{Affection: 95.}

'Impressive.' Draven mused. "Your clothes are over there. Please get dressed."

With that, he turned and strode towards the door.

"Meet me outside once you are ready."

"Won't... won't the villagers...?"

"Do not concern yourself with them. Leave that to me," he said, his hand already on the door latch, before stepping out.

'Thank you, Lord Draven... I will dedicate myself to becoming stronger and serving you with my life.' Alice thought, a hopeful smile touching her lips.

BAM!

"You fucked her, didn't you?"

Draven turned his head to find Alexandra glaring at him, her brow furrowed in a deep frown.

"Well... I wouldn't phrase it that way, as I essentially raped her," Draven replied matter-of-factly, continuing his approach towards her.

Alexandra stared at him as he drew closer, his hand reaching out to held her chin.

"Do not harbor any illusions that I am a virtuous man... To be truthful, I am far from it. I have committed acts that would likely shatter your perception of reality."

"Let me guess, mostly against men?" she retorted, her gaze unwavering.

A corner of Draven's lip quirked upwards in a sardonic smile.

"Men... women... children? I have extinguished all." He stated plainly, releasing her chin and turning his attention to the villagers passing by, some casting furtive glances in their direction.

"You know, Alexandra... While I am no hero, I possess a certain possessiveness regarding my women." His gaze returned to her, a sharp glint in his eyes.

"Alice is now under my protection... and I trust that you all will refrain from any hostile actions towards her."

"You assaulted her, and now she is 'under your protection'?" Alexandra asked, her voice laced with cold disbelief.

"Indeed," Draven confirmed, his expression impassive.

"Perhaps if you desired to be under my your protection, we could..."

"You despicable fiend!" she hissed, turning sharply and stalking away.

{Alexandra Affection: -5.}

{Affection: 25.}

Draven smirked. 'What a captivatingly tempestuous girl... You have certainly piqued my interest.' He mused.

"Young man... why does Alexandra appear so distressed?"

Draven turned to face the elderly man who approached him, accompanied by four other men... all clad in the leather armor of village guards.

"It is nothing of significance, John. Merely a bit of teasing... What brings you here, accompanied by your formidable entourage?" he asked, his gaze sweeping over the four armored figures behind the old man.

"Ah... we heard you apprehended that witch. We are here to offer our assistance in dealing with her... We assumed that with your strength, she would be considerably weakened, correct?" John inquired.

'Well... she is certainly weakened, from sex. But...' Draven's gaze sharpened as he focused on John.

"She is neither wicked nor malicious... Alice is a friend of mine who was being manipulated by Boco. I brought her inside solely to assist her and remove the parasitic creature."

He extended his palm, and the crimson rune reappeared, projecting a vivid image of the worm-like parasite.

"This is what Boco employed... I suspect you have encountered this before, haven't you?"

John stroked his chin thoughtfully, his eyes scrutinizing the image of the creature before slowly nodding.

"Yes... I have seen this before. Some weeks ago, Boco released a woman and sent her towards our village. We were unaware of the vile thing she carried within her. She managed to kill our strongest guard before the others could subdue her, and well... we were forced to end her life. In her final moments, this very creature burst from her skull and slithered away," he recounted, his expression grim.

"How dare he! Exploiting women as mere slaves and playthings! I find such actions utterly intolerable. Women are the very treasures of our worlds, with all their... well... their magnificent forms and, more importantly, their boundless hearts!" He paused, his gaze sweeping over the five men.

"Do not fret; I will hunt down Boco and deliver his head to you!"

"Truly?! You would undertake such a perilous task for us?!" the old man asked, a note of surprise in his voice.

"Most certainly! He inflicted this upon my friend and also launched an attack on another friend's village... If I do not deal with him, who will?"

"Splendid! We shall offer you our assistance... However, darkness is descending, so perhaps it would be prudent to launch our assault tomorrow," John suggested.

Draven glanced at the darkening sky and nodded slowly:

'Although I could clearly see during the night, it might be wise to wait until tomorrow.' He conceded mentally, before nodding in agreement to the old man.

SQUEAK!

All six heads turned towards the sound of the opening door. Alice stood there, her now blue eyes shifting from Draven, John to the four armed men.

The guards instantly tensed, their hands instinctively moving towards the hilts of the swords at their waists.

Alice walked towards them, stopping a respectful two feet away. To their stunned and the onlookers' bewildered gazes, she lowered her head in a deep bow towards John.

"I am deeply sorry for any harm I may have caused. I understand that forgiveness may not come easily, so I wish to offer the village my most valued possession!"

She opened her palms, revealing a small, intricately designed bottle.

"Within this bottle are twenty energy pills... Each one possesses the power to significantly enhance the strength of whoever consumes it," she explained with earnest sincerity.

John regarded the bottle with a raised eyebrow. Their past encounter had instilled a deep-seated caution, particularly towards anyone associated with Boco for an extended period.

Sensing their hesitation, Draven took the bottle. Before their very eyes, he extracted a pill and swallowed it.

{Enlightenment pill taken.}

{Host gained +10 In all attributes.}

'Not a substantial boost for me, but for low-class Awakeners, it is indeed a treasure.' He assessed.

{Alice Affection: +3.}

{Affection: 98.}

'Huh?' He turned his gaze to Alice, only to be met by a look of intense hunger in her eyes.

'Excellent! With such a high level of affection, the thought of other men will likely not even cross her mind... What am I saying? No other man could possibly penetrate her.' He thought with satisfaction.

'Taking the pill was a wise decision indeed.'

"You see? There is no deception here. As I have explained, she is a friend who was under the influence of that vile Boco... Furthermore, this pill is quite potent. If you do not desire it..."

"No... we will gladly accept it," John said quickly, taking the bottle from Draven's hand and offering Alice a reassuring smile.

"Do not worry, my dear... Draven has already enlightened us about your situation. However, I must be frank; the villagers may not warm up to you immediately."

"I understand," Alice replied with a soft, melancholic sigh.

"Come now, Alice... Allow me to introduce you to Alexandra."

Draven gently grasped Alice's wrist and guided her away from the gathering.

John watched them depart for a few moments, then leaned closer to the men behind him, whispering intently.

"Maintain vigilance. Observe those two closely... We cannot rule out the possibility of this being another of Boco's intricate schemes. Should you detect anything suspicious, do not engage. Return to me immediately with the information."

The four guards nodded in silent acknowledgment.

'That cunning old fox! He believes I did not overhear him... I have no fondness for being spied upon. However, for the time being, I can play along.' Draven thought, continuing to walk, Alice in tow.
