Fabian's POV
I rolled down the widow of my car and stared up at Moon-ridge pack house. I hated this place. The moment stepped out of my car, I spat on the ground.
The fact that Alpha Haynes had the audacity to betray my father and spill my family's blood ignoring decades of friendship mean I had no liberty to show him mercy.
I would have killed him a few days ago. I had seen his death, it was so close but the coward had run to the council with his tails between his legs, begging for amnesty which they had sold to him.
Now, I was forced to follow the fucking law and abide by it.
He should have thought about the law when he murdered my family in cold blood. I wanted to laugh. I didn't give a fuck about the law but I was going to keep it down for now. Once his amnesty was over, I would swoop in for the kill.
He'd never know what hit him.
As I walked towards the little pack house, people scurried out of my way. Obviously, they knew power when they saw it, unlike the coward they had as Alpha. By the time I was done. I would tear this place down.
"Where are they?" I demanded as soon as I set foot in the foyer. "Are they trying my patience? Alpha Haynes should know I can decide to let go of the law and destroy this place after all, he has no army to protect him now."
"He will be here soon," One of the councilmen who had come with me to make sure there was no foul play answered.
Just then, the double doors above me opened and a young girl in a veil stepped out. Alpha Haynes stood behind her and his cold eyes looked through me. I saw his jaw tightened and smiled.
Watch me as I take everything from you one by one.
I watched as the girl descended the stairs, her frail body trembling. Her father must have told her what I did to his men. Good. She should fear me. I will take her life last after making her watch what I did to her family.
I rose fluidly when she finally stopped in front of me and in two long steps, closed the distance between us. I took her veil in my finger and lifted it slowly. The innocent looks on the girl 's left me momentarily breathless. Her eyes glimmered in loveliest shade of blue, while her luscious lips trembled softly, and an overwhelming impulse drove me to step forward and kiss her. My hand brushed her jaw as l leaned closer, letting her exquisite fragrance drift into my nostrils. She smelled like an angel and her smell stirred something in me.
I pulled away quickly, taking a step back.
Her face was flawless and her exposed skin was supple and silky. I grinned. To bad I'll have to kill her. Eventually.
"So, you are the one." I said. "What is your name?"
She hesitated, her eyes darting to look at someone over my shoulder. "Seraphina," she said finally. Her voice was like music to my ears. How could someone so lovely be born to a devil like him?
I opened my mouth, about to test her name on my tongue. Seraphina. Such a beautiful name. but I immediately stopped myself, reminding myself that she was the daughter of my number one enemy.
"I have a gift for you," I said, taking another step away from her. Without taking my eyes off her, I snapped my fingers and Jordan stepped forward with a box which he placed in her trembling hands.
"Open it," I said coldly.
Confusion passed over her features and the hall quietened further as if everyone was holding their beaths.
Slowly, she pulled the ribbon it was wrapped in and opened the box. Her eyes widened as she stared at the content. Her trembling hands trembled even more and the box dropped to the ground with a clatter.
Gasps echoed around the hall as everyone's eyes stayed on the head that was rolling out of the box. I kept my eyes on Seraphina's face, satisfied with how ashen she looked.
Behind me, sone screamed and the hall erupted in chaos.
"I've heard of you," I said slowly. "Alpha Hayne's spoilt daughter who thinks she is above everyone else. Spoilt, rich and entitled. Selfish, just like her father." I stepped towards her util there was no space between our bodies. "I killed your betrothed. Castrated him first."
Her mouth dropped. And whatever blood remained in her face, drained leaving her looking as white as sheet.
I smiled. I was enjoying this more than I was supposed to.
"You don't believe me?" I taunted. "Then I have another gift for you." With a snap of my finger, Jordan appeared with another gift box.
"Take it and open it." I ordered. "I guarantee that you will like this one."
Her hands shook as she pulled the ribbon and the box opened up. This time, she screamed and once again, dropped the box, exposing her fiancée's private organs to the entire room.
Satisfied with everyone's reaction, I stepped away from her meeting Alpha Haynes cold gaze. Ahh… did he think this was over? I'm afraid, its just beginning.
"I, Lycan Fabian of Nightfall pack, defeated Haynes in battle but he absconded and bought himself amnesty." I announced. Collective gasps rang around the room. "Your coward leader should have died with honor but he ran to save himself and sold you off to me! According to his amnesty, witnessed and signed by the council, I now own this pack util his amnesty expires."
I smirked, waiting for anyone who had the guts to challenge me. fortunately for them, they weren't that stupid.
"Son of Haynes," I called out. "Step forward."
I was aware that Alpha Haynes had one son and I was going to start my revenge with him. I smiled as the boy shaking moved towards me, stopping a few feet from where I stood. My claws sharpened and in one single slash, I tore his neck open.
Blood gushed out of the neck wound and his lifeless body fell with a thud.
Screams erupted around the hall. My eyes were only on Alpha Haynes and the pain I saw in his face. His hands were clenched into fists and his body trembled with the fury he felt.
You should have died in that war, I said to myself. You brought this upon yourself. Did e really think an amnesty could save him from me?
"The children shall pay for the sins of the father!" I cried out. This was only just the beginning. "Alpha Hayne, tis is my gift to you. See it as an early dowry for your daughter."
I heard his Luna's cries but I didn't care about it. The day her husband murdered my family in cold blood, he hadn't given my mother time to mourn. She should be grateful.
"Don't worry. I'll kill your daughter last. Before then, I'll handle her well." Glancing at Seraphine, I held out y hand. "Come, you will be my bride."
Her body trembled even more and her eyes darted to her father. Slowly, she took my hand and I pulled her to my side where she was going to be for only a short time.
Councilman Jerome stepped forward with his book and began reciting the words in it. The words which would bind me and tis woman for life.
When he was done, I placed out my hand and he cut it with a small dagger, the did the same to Seraphina.
"Join your hands." He said.
I took her hand, joining our open wounds together in front of her father. How is that Alpha Haynes?
"This union has been bonded and accepted by the goddess." Councilman Jerome announced, pulling me from my thoughts.
Smirking, I led my bride to the door, stopping just when my foot was at the threshold. "Take every one of them prisoner. Spare no one."
