Eighteen years passed in the blink of an eye.
Now, inside a training hall within the textile factory, Smith Doyle stood facing six opponents—Mr. X, Cross, the Butcher, the Mechanic, the Gunsmith, and Pesticide. Despite being surrounded, he remained perfectly calm.
If it had been even a day earlier, he would've stood no chance against them. He was, after all, just an ordinary man with some training. But today was different. Today, he had no fear.
Smith dropped his stance, hands curved like claws, and dashed forward.
"Wolf Fang Gale Fist!"
Startled by his sudden burst of speed, Mr. X and Cross immediately activated Bullet Time. Not only did it improve their aim during gunfights, but it also greatly enhanced their reaction speed in close combat.
Yet, in the very next moment, it felt like a ravenous wolf had slammed into the group. All six were sent flying. Even Mr. X and Cross, with their Bullet Time abilities, couldn't stop him and were instantly taken down.
From the sidelines, Fox stared in amazement. "Oh my god, Smith, you're actually this powerful."
Wesley, equally shocked, exclaimed, "So strong! GOD, you're insanely strong!"
Looking at the fallen six, Smith smiled and said, "Uncles, I think we don't need to continue this sparring, right?"
The Butcher sat up and rubbed a bruised spot. If not for his fat, he felt like he would've broken a few ribs. Gasping for air, he said, "Smith, I guess we don't need to spar anymore."
"At least when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, it's unnecessary now."
The others also sat up, waved their hands, and said, "You win."
"We admit it. In terms of fighting, you're a perfectly qualified GOD."
Smith smiled again. His overwhelming victory wasn't a fluke—it was thanks to his system, which had finally finished loading just a few days ago.
The truth was, Smith Doyle wasn't from this universe. His original name was Feng Yi, a normal guy from Earth. Before arriving here, he had been playing the mobile game Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle. One night, after staying up late to finish an event, he left his phone charging beside his pillow and fell asleep. Somehow, he woke up in this world—a universe that blended Marvel and Western comics.
He realized he was in the Marvel Universe when he saw exhibits about Captain America and the Howling Commandos in a museum, and a massive Stark Industries billboard in Times Square.
But strangely, the storyline from Wanted had completely changed. Sloan, the Black leader, didn't exist. Cross's son was never sent to live an ordinary life—he stayed in the Brotherhood.
As for the Dokkan Battle game he had played before traveling, it became his golden finger, his cheat. Sadly, until he turned eighteen, the system just kept saying "Loading," which was frustrating. But the Assassin Brotherhood trained him well in those years.
He learned wax bath techniques from the Apothecary. From the Gunsmith, he mastered curved bullet shooting. The Mechanic taught him close-quarters combat. The Butcher passed on his knife techniques that could even slice bullets. Pesticide showed him how to make rat bombs. Bullet Time, however, was something he couldn't learn—it required a specific bloodline.
Despite that, the past eighteen years hadn't been wasted. Wesley and Fox were his close companions, having grown up together. He even took on real missions for the Brotherhood and worked as a child assassin.
On his eighteenth birthday, the system fully activated and gave him a surprise that lifted all his fears—especially when it came to the impending Decimation.
The cheat system was very different from the mobile game he had played. When he opened the interface, all the flashy functions were gone. Only three features remained—item wish lottery, character card wish lottery, and companion wish lottery—plus an inventory.
According to the system, these three functions required no money, no summoning scrolls. But there was one rule: once he used it for the first time, the seven Dragon Balls he had been born with would activate. Only after making a wish using the Dragon Balls could he make another draw.
Those Dragon Balls had scattered across the world when he was born. He didn't even have one at the moment.
The Dragon Balls had a cooldown of one year. After a wish was successfully made, the collector could summon Shenron for a single wish, while Smith would receive three limited wish draws.
Shenron's power was linked to Smith's strength. The stronger he became, the more powerful Shenron would be, allowing greater wishes to be granted. As Smith's strength grew, the Dragon Balls would also evolve—from Earth's Dragon Balls, to Namekian, to Evil Red Star, and even the Super Dragon Balls that spanned universes.
After understanding this, Smith felt a bit like the creators of the Dragon Balls—Kami and the Grand Elder.
Then he used his three wish draws.
First, he tried the item wish lottery. In the interface, his avatar appeared with a celestial body hovering overhead, filled with shimmering objects.
He could make out some items—Saiyan space pods, Namekian spaceships, Ultra Holy Water, Dragon Radar, Battle Suits Gen 1 and Gen 2, capsules (single and boxed), scouters, gravity chambers, Senzu Beans, and many glowing orbs whose details he couldn't see clearly.
He initiated the draw, and his avatar shot a Kamehameha at one glowing orb.
"Congratulations, Smith Doyle has obtained a Scouter (Gen 2)!"
Smith was slightly disappointed. He had hoped for Senzu Beans or a battle suit. Senzu Beans were like extra lives, and the battle suits were way better than any bulletproof vest. Still, the Scouter fulfilled a childhood dream.
Next, he tried the character card wish draw. The celestial body contained early characters from the Dragon Ball series—Kid Goku, young Krillin (pre-training), Bulma, Tien, Chiaotzu, Yamcha, young Chi-Chi, Ox-King, Nam, Master Roshi, Launch, and others.
Another Kamehameha.
"Congratulations, Smith Doyle has obtained Character Card: Yamcha!"
The Yamcha in the card was dressed like a desert bandit, sword in hand—clearly from before he trained with Master Roshi.
His skills included Wolf Fang Fist and Wolf Fang Gale Fist.
Using the card granted Smith Yamcha's bloodline and abilities.
For the third draw, he used the companion wish lottery. Again, the celestial body featured mostly early characters—Puar, Oolong, the Turtle, the King of Earth, Upa, Ox-King, Tights, Android 8, and more.
Result: companion acquired—Puar.
Puar's abilities were Blade Attack and Puar's Assistance.
Smith checked the companion's abilities and found them similar to the game. The best part was that they could appear in the real world. If he summoned a healing-type companion in the future, they'd be a huge help.
After finishing his three draws, the Dragon Balls scattered across the world changed back from stone to their original forms.
