Call me Damien!

Elara glanced at Theo. Though he was undeniably handsome, she couldn't shake the feeling that he had ulterior motives.

Maybe I've just seen too much of Damien lately... even another good-looking guy doesn't do it for me anymore, she thought.

She replied coolly, "Excuse me, who are you? Why are you asking so many questions over such a small loss? Just give the money to the driver and be done with it."

Theo opened his mouth to speak, but Elara cut him off with a wave of her hand. "I've got things to do. I'll keep your card, but you really can't afford the repair fee."

Without waiting for a response, she turned and got back into the car, urging the driver to leave.

If I'm late, I'll be dead meat. What a crappy day—must've forgotten to pray to the gods.

After she left, Theo stood still, staring at the departing car for a long time.
