"Do you have plans for tonight?" Kayla asked me as we both lay on our towels under the burning sun while the others were in the water playing volleyball.
Oh, I love summer days.
I shrugged, turning my head towards her enough to see her. She's already staring at me waiting for my answer.
"I'll probably read, watch a movie, something like that," I explained and she wrinkled her face as if I'm crazy.
"Are you kidding me? You're in Hawaii and you're going to spend your night like this?" She spoke in high voice in response, getting up quickly from her towel and I looked at her with a confused look.
What's wrong with that?
"We're throwing a party at my house tonight and you're coming."
I blinked a few times, staring at her face still not giving her the answer she wanted to hear.
Party? Yeah, I don't think that's a good idea. Back at home, I would never miss a party, everybody knows that. But here in Hawaii is a completely different story.
"I don't know," I answered in a low unsure voice, wrinkling my face, thankful she can't see it from my glasses.
"I don't accept no as an answer. I'll send you the address," she replied confidently, leaving me no choice but to nod in agreement. She smiled broadly, clapping her hands contentedly.
Agreeing with her is the only logical answer right now because if I say no, she won't leave me until I change my mind. I probably won't go to this party anyway but she doesn't need to know that. Kayla looks like a confident person who won't stop at anything until she gets what she wants. I don't want to see her bad side.
"Are you going to play with us or what?" Ryder shouted from the water, drawing a few glaces at us, interrupting our conversation.
I'm so thankful for that.
"Let's go," Kayla smiled at me before getting up from her towel and running to the water with a smile shining on her face.
I watched them, smiling at how close they are to each other. I have friends, a lot of friends back in Los Angeles but deep down I've always wanted to have a small friend group doing absolutely everything together. Just like them.
I followed Kayla, running to the water, joining them.
Maybe one day.
-----
Okay, eventually I decided it will be better for me to go to this stupid party.
I'm stuck in Hawaii for 3 months and staying at the mansion won't speed up the time so I have nothing to lose. So I put on the first clothes I saw and left the mansion.
But I wasn't prepared to see so many people.
When she told me about this party I thought it will be something small with 10 people max, not this.
This house was full of already drunk and high people, dancing or to be more specific bumping their bodies into each other, trying to dance. They all had cups in their hands, drinking like there's no tomorrow.
Where the fuck are Kayla's parents?
Are they seriously allowing her to invite so many people into her house? My parents could never.
It's definitely quite different from the parties I'm used to going back to Los Angeles. Or maybe I think like that just because I know almost no one here different than Kayla and her friends.
I was making my way through the crowd of people trying to get somewhere and I don't even know where the hell I was going.
The house is big, not like our house, but also not small and it's obvious by the number of people in this house.
Is it too late to leave already?
"Grace!" Someone yelled behind me, placing a hand around my shoulders and it took me exactly 1 second to realize that it's Kayla, holding a cup in her hand probably full of some type of alcohol. "You're finally here."
I nodded, feeling super awkward to be here.
"Come to the others," she took my hand, pulling me through the crowd of people making her way like a fucking queen. No wonder, it's her home after all.
"Can I get something to drink first? I need water urgently," I asked in a high voice for her to hear me and she nodded.
"Yes, of course."
We went to what I guess is the kitchen and I saw the table filled with all kinds of alcohol. Damn. These people here know how to party.
"Get whatever you want," Kayla said, nodding at the table I was still looking at.
Should I drink or not? I could use one or two glasses of wine.
"Grace?" Someone called my name behind my back and both Kayla and I turned in the direction of the voice.
But I wasn't prepared for this.
My brother Blake stared at me with a confused look like he just saw a ghost.
Okay, what the actual fuck? what is he doing here?
"What are you doing here?" I asked sharply and Kayla shifted her gaze between us in confusion.
"Do you guys know each other?" She asked slowly, still trying to figure out what's going on.
"Yes, that's my brother Blake," I responded, looking at her.
"Unfortunately," He added, sipping from the drink in his hand.
"Oh," Kayla exclaimed in surprise, obviously not expecting the answer.
How the fuck he ended up here? From where he knows Kayla and her friends? I have so many questions and I was ready to ask them one by one but someone interrupted me.
"Come on, Blake, you promised to play," a deep husky voice interrupted our conversation, making my whole body shiver.
Just like yesterday when I heard it for the first time.
The difference is that now I have full access to his face because nothing covered his eyes.
AND HOLY FUCK.
This man really is a art of work.
But his eyes, fuck his deep green eyes are enough to make any girl beg on her knees to have him even for a night. I just fucking know it.
I think I just had a heart attack. My heart fucking stopped.
My knees softened as I saw how devilishly handsome this man really is, confirming my theory from yesterday. And when he slid his tongue over his bottom lip and I saw his tongue piercing I fucking lost it.
Scenarios immediately popped into my mind with his head between my legs, this piercing doing wonders to my body as he stares at me with these deep green eyes.
FUCK. Not the right time and person Grace.
That's Kayla's brother. The girl I don't want to have problems with and I don't think she will be very happy if she can read my fucking mind right now.
His green eyes stopped on me, sending shivers to my spine and as he lowered his gaze down my body, not missing a single detail from it, I fucking swear I felt myself getting wet.
Damn it, this man is something else.
"Such a good timing Aiden, you idiot," Kayla interrupted my thoughts, bringing me back to reality while her brother was still staring at me not giving a single fuck what his sister is saying.
I squeezed my thighs. God have mercy.
"And you are?" He asked slowly with a low voice, stopping my ability to catch my breath as he stared at me, literally ignoring his sister.
I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out. I feel so fucking small and weak in front of his big muscular body. I lost control over myself and that's something completely new to me. Damn it.
"That's my baby sister, Grace," Blake introduce me, sipping from his drink again.
For the first time, I'm thankful that my brother is here and I'm happy he's fucking talking. Usually, I find it pretty annoying but not today.
Aiden or whatever this man's name is, raise an eyebrow in surprise, giving me on last glare before nodding.
"Can you leave now?" Kayla said and I'm thanking her in my mind for that. I don't feel myself around this man.
Aiden laughed, making my heart beat faster than ever.
Damn, that's the best sound I've ever heard.
"Let's go, Blake," Aiden said with a cheerful look.
Before leaving, he stopped his gaze on me, lowering it one last time down my body and a grin slowly settled on his face before turning his back, leaving the kitchen with my brother.
Damn, I'm fucked.
