CHAPTER FOUR :HE TREATED ME LIKE A COMMON CRIMINAL 

"Give me the phone!", 

Kennedy commanded, drawing closer to me as I handed the phone over to him in dismay.

"Are you surprised I caught you?", He asked with an unfriendly smile as if he had just won a competition.

I stood in total mute as I shiver.

"I have my eyes on you 24/7", he boasted And quickly went away with the phone.

Neither Cynthia nor I was able to stop him and as of that time Norrison was away for a job project 

And besides he dares not challenge nor question Kennedy's decisions because we all know how hot it can be for everyone 

And none of us wants to fuel his burning anger and thereby incurring his wrath.

But this time I reached the conclusion that Kennedy has crossed his limit, ...…

as I laid one of my hands on Cynthia's shoulder signaling she should calm down, cause I could see the burning range in her through her eyes.

"See you later", 

was the only word I could utter to her as I stormed out.(I'm sure you now know that the battle line is drawn between me and my beloved elder brother? Yes, it's a battle and it's the battle I'm willing to fight for love).

It was a sweltering afternoon, I stepped into the shower and turned on the water,

As the cool water Cascaded over my body I closed my eyes to allow myself to relax .

In that moment, thousands of thoughts flashed through my mind within a second…. (Yeah, it's about me, Tony, Kennedy, my relationship and my happiness).

And I wept,

 but that is a language that Kennedy doesn't understand neither does it move him to pity, 

I thought of killing him so that I could be free, (but believe me, I'm so innocent for such a dirty guilt).

I quickly turned off the shower as I reached out my towel to dry off the water on my body, and I dashed off to my room.

"I will not continue like this, I refuse to let anyone deprive me of my happiness., 

No one can decide for me except Tony or I say it's over, then, no one can stop us".

 I boldly said to myself as I pounded my chest. 

 quickly I made my way to go see Kennedy

 and I found him having a conversation with one of his workers.

 I reluctantly greeted him before airing out my thoughts, so I couldn't be rude. (yes, this is to show you how much respect I have for my brother which I wasn't ready to let go.)

"Yes, Tina, what brings you here? You aren't looking any good, is there anything wrong"? " he said, coming closer to me.

"Yes. Everything is wrong I said, pulling away from him (this time not because I'm scared of him but because my heart is ranged and I'm not happy with him)

"Okay, go on, are you sick? Do you want something?" He said, as he dipped his hand in his pocket to give me some cash 

But I declined.

"For how long are you going to keep doing this?",

 "How long will you keep me monitored?",

 "how long will you continue to make me live in my shell without letting me live my free life", 

"And how long do you think you can stop me?" 

(I asked without any atom of fear)

"What are you talking about, Tina" he innocently asked, as he tried to hold my hands, 

but I quickly drew back as I flung his hands off mine.

"Are you going to marry me?" I continued…..

" No, stop this madness now!, ... he yelled at me..... "you are going too far he said"

Else, I will have you locked up in the store room for days without water or food" .....

" Oh it's about Tony right? I see" 

" I won't let you draw this family name and my long time legacy that I have earned for so many years to mold", he bragged.

He was so disappointed cause this came too fast like a shock on him 

 He would never have believed that his beloved sister would be the one to question his authority one day if been told.

" I'm not scared of you anymore, go on, do your wish, you are heartless and wicked, I don't want to have anything to do with you anymore" let me be ``.…. I helplessly cried out as tears rolled from my eyes.

This time He became so furious as he felt his ego was being trampled on in the presence of his workers…
