The man froze, as he stared at him..

His breath hitched. "No… no…"

"Fuck," he gasped as he reached for the handle. He twisted it violently, "Come on… come on!"

It wouldn't budge.

"Shit!" he cursed, slamming his fist He tried again, yanking with all the strength he could muster, but it was useless.

"No, no, no…" he muttered, backing away from the door. He stumbled over his own feet, falling to the ground.

Lucifer sat on a leather chair, his legs crossed. A thin stream of smoke curled lazily upward from the cigarette between his fingers, the faint scent of tobacco as he watched the man.

He raised the cigarette to his lips, inhaling deeply before exhaling a thick cloud of smoke directly into the man's face.

The man's face turned a shade of red as he struggled to breathe. "please" he rasped.

A faint plume of smoke curled from his lips as he exhaled, the cigarette in his hand burning slowly.

He crouched down, leveling his gaze with the man's. "When you signed my deal, I warned you. I told you the price of failure. Do you remember what I said?"

The man nodded frantically, "Yes, you said… you said the consequence is death."

"Please!" the man cried, tears streaming down his face. "I have a family. They didn't know about this. They don't deserve to suffer!"

"I… I'll do anything to fix this!" the man stammered.

Lucifer chuckled darkly, " He took another drag of his cigarette,

Lucifer cut him off, slamming him against the wall with enough force to crack the plaster. The man let out a choked cry, his body going limp as he slid down to the floor.

The man's lips moved, but no sound came out. He was too paralyzed by fear to respond.

"Lucifer…" the man croaked, He crawled closer, his palms scraping against the cold floor. "Please… I beg you…"

"Please, my lord," the man said, pressing his forehead to the ground. "I can't fulfill the deal. Just give me more time just a little more!"

"I didn't know it would be like this! Please, I have a family—"

"Family, Did you think about them when you sealed your fate with me? Did you hesitate before promising me your soul, or were you too blinded by greed?"

"I… I was desperate," the man stammered, tears streaming down his face. "Please, just one more chance. I'll fix it!Please, Lucifer, just a few more days, I beg you"

Lucifer straightened, his expression hardening. He removed the cigarette from his lips, "You misunderstand," he said, "I don't give second chances. When you make a deal with the Devil, you pay."

Lucifer twisted the man's arm, snapping it in two. The man screamed,as he collapsed back to his knees.

"Please… mercy…"

"Mercy?" Lucifer repeated, tilting his head as if considering the word. He knelt beside the man, "Do you think mercy exists here? You signed your soul away to me. You knew the rules, and yet you dared to break them."

The man shook his head violently, didn't mean to… I swear… I'll fix it, I'll—"

Lucifer slammed his boot into the man's chest, pinning him to the ground. The man gasped, the air forced from his lungs as Lucifer leaned over him..

"You don't fix deals with me, You don't negotiate. You obey. And when you fail…" He pressed down harder, the man's ribs creaking "You die."

The man clawed at Lucifer's leg, his nails breaking against the polished leather. "Please… no… I can't"

Lucifer's eyes darkened, He reached for the man's other arm, gripping it with inhuman strength.

The man's hand darted beneath his jacket, , and suddenly brought out a dagger. Before Lucifer could move, the man stabbed him straight at his chest

"Motherfucker!" the man said.

Lucifer staggered back a step, Blood began to seep through the fabric of his shirt, staining the black material.

He tightened his hold on the man's wrist The man screamed, as he dropped to the ground.

He tossed the dagger.

"Do you know why they call me the Devil?" Lucifer asked. He yanked the arm backward, the bone snapping like dry wood. .

Lucifer's hand gripped the man's head tightly, his fingers digging into the sides of his skull.

CRACK.

Lucifer twisted the man's head sharply, snapping his neck Blood spilled from the broken body, dripping down onto the floor as the man's lifeless form slumped.

The flesh tore, bones shattered, and blood sprayed across the room.

Standing tall, he wiped his hands on a handkerchief, his face calm and unreadable. Blood dripped from his boots. He brushed out the invisible dust from his suit.

He took one last drag of his cigarette before dropping it onto the floor and crushing it beneath his boot

Lily sat stiffly in the passenger seat, her arms crossed tightly over her chest as she stared out the window.

"You didn't have to come get me. I could've managed on my own."

Damien let out a laugh, his lips curling into a faint smirk as he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a cigarette. He lit it up, his other hand on the wheel.

"Trust me, princess, I didn't want to," he said, exhaling a cloud of smoke

"I'm not some helpless child who needs to be escorted everywhere. You can tell Lucifer I don't need a babysitter."

. "You think I want to be here?" he asked, "If you don't want me playing chauffeur, then go tell him yourself. I'm not your damn driver."

"Then why are you here?" she shot back.

He took another drag from his cigarette, leaning back in his seat as the light turned green. "Because it's better than dealing with Lucifer's wrath. You think I care what happens to you? I don't. I just know what happens to people who piss him off, and I'm not about to put myself on that list."

"You're such an asshole," she muttered.

"Better an asshole than dead," he replied coolly, his eyes fixed on the road ahead.

"Ask him, not me Little princess," he said flatly.

"Stop calling me that," she snapped. "I'm not your princess."

When Damien finally pulled up in front of the house, he cut the engine and leaned back in his seat,

She stared at him for a moment, Without another word, she stepped out of the car and slammed the door behind her. Damien rolled up the window,

Lily was halfway to the door when Damien's voice stopped her.

"Wait."

She froze, Turning slowly, she looked back at him, her brows furrowed. "What?"

Damien stepped out of the car, He took a drag from the cigarette between his fingers, exhaling a plume of smoke

"Do you like him?" he asked.

She blinked, caught off guard. "What?"

"Lucifer," he said, his dark eyes searching hers. "Do you like him?"

Lily's breath hitched, and she swallowed hard, "Why are you asking me that?" she managed to say.

"Nothing"Damien studied her for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then, he smirked faintly, the corners of his mouth twitching. .

"Good," she said, her voice cold.

"See you tomorrow little princess"Damien turned and walked back to the car, but before sliding into the driver's seat, he glanced back at her one last time.

Without another word, Damien got into the car, as he drove off into the night.

Lily pushed open the door to her room

The room was silent..

She reached for the light switch, putting it on. and then her gaze immediately snapped to the figure sitting on her bed. It was him. Lucifer.

He was sitting there, on her bed,

His head tilted back slightly, eyes closed, his dark, messy hair falling in waves across his forehead. His long lashes brushed gently against his cheek, and his lips were slightly parted in sleep, looking... peaceful.

Her heart skipped a beat. She'd never seen him like this before. The sight of him like this vulnerable, calm was almost... too much for her.

Lily didn't even think, she just moved. She slowly walked closer to him, her feet barely making a sound on the floor. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and

She took another step, closer now, until she could smell him. The scent hit her, sharp and intoxicating a mixture of burnt wood and something floral, She leaned in even closer, . Her fingers hovered near his face, and before she could stop herself, she gently reached out and brushed a strand of hair from his face.

As soon as her fingers made contact with his skin, his eyes snapped open. Lily's breath caught in her throat, and her heart raced faster than ever. She quickly pulled her hand back, feeling the heat of embarrassment rush to her cheeks. Fuck, she hadn't meant to wake him.

Lucifer's gaze locked onto hers, and for a time, neither of them spoke. His eyes were still sharp, even though they were clouded with sleep. They studied her, taking in every inch of her face.

"You're back," he murmured,.

"Yeah," she said .Why did he have this effect on her?

Lucifer blinked slowly, sitting up straighter. He rubbed his eyes with one hand before looking at her again. "How was school?"

"It was fine," she replied, trying to sound casual, almost... human.

As she spoke, her eyes were drawn to his shirt. Dark, dried blood stained the fabric, the red patches standing out against the black.

"Is that blood, are you hurt?"

Lucifer's gaze looked down to his shirt,.

"No," he said,

. The blood was fresh. Too fresh. She didn't believe him.

"It was fine," she replied, trying to sound casual, almost... human.

As she spoke, her eyes were drawn to his shirt. Dark, dried blood stained the fabric, the red patches standing out against the black.

"Is that blood? Are you hurt?" Her voice faltered, the concern creeping into her words before she could stop it.

Fück. He forgot to change his shirt. And now, of all places, He hadn't meant for her to see this. .

"No," he said flatly, "I'm not hurt."

Lily didn't believe him. Not for a second. The blood wasn't just a small spot, it was too much, too fresh. There was no way he could be fine, not with that much blood. She didn't need to be told to know that something had happened, something dangerous, something that he wasn't telling her.

"Lucifer," she said, stepping closer, "That's a lot of blood. Are you sure you're okay

"I said I'm fine," he interrupted He didn't want her to worry. He didn't want her to get too close, to start asking questions he didn't want to answer. His jaw clenched, and for a moment,

Lily's breath caught as her eyes lingered on Lucifer, and without thinking, she reached out to pull at his shirt, her heart pounding harder in her chest. She hadn't expected this. She hadn't expected him to look like that.

His chest was solid, defined by the muscle . Her eyes traced the lines of his torso, the sharp curve of his abs, . Fuck. Her mouth went dry.

But then, just below his ribcage, she saw it, the deep, wound on his perfect body. A wound so dark and raw, and it made her heart ache as if someone had just torn a piece of her apart. Her breath hitched.

Her hand moved before she could stop it, fingers trembling as they hovered over the wound. She wanted to touch him, to somehow make it better. Her eyes filled with tears, the sight of it so much worse than she had imagined.

"Lucifer," she said as the tears began to form in her eyes. "It's big..."

Her hand hovered over the wound, her pulse racing. She wanted to reach out, to hold him, but she didn't know how to make it stop hurting.

"It doesn't hurt," he said, he didn't know whether to laugh or not. She was crying let she wA the one stab .

"Lucifer," she muttered, as she looked at him, her lips parted in disbelief. "How can you be so calm about this? This isn't something you just brush off."

His lips parted, as though he was about to say something, but instead, he took her hand in his,

. "It just doesn't hurt like you think it does."

Without another word, she rushed to the small drawer beside her bed, her hands shaking as she pulled open the wooden frame. . Finally, she found what she was looking for a small first aid kit .

She moved back to him, as she knelt down beside his chair, the kit open in her hands. "You're not fine. Let me help."

Lucifer didn't protest. Instead, he just leaned back slightly, his expression softening .

""It's okay, you can cry," she said.

Lucifer raised an eyebrow, giving her an incredulous look.

He hissed as she pressed the cotton to his chest again, biting back a curse. "

Lily grabbed the small bottle of antiseptic spirit, her hands slightly trembling as she poured some onto the cotton wool. The injury was worse than she thought,

She muttered under her breath, as she gently dabbed the cotton wool onto the wound. He let her work,

"You need to be more careful," she said She gently cleaned away the blood with the cotton, "I told you... it doesn't hurt."

"You're lying," she said bluntly. ""Don't be so stubborn," she said,
