In the book, the Scar made a name for themselves by stealing the key, which they used to attack the Empire's capital, but they did something even more notorious.

They triggered a Great Dungeon right in the Academy, in the Field Zone.

Unclear Dungeons will collapse and spew out monsters, but they usually have a time limit set to be cleared before such things happen.

A Great Dungeon, on the other hand, won't last a week before it needs to be cleared. But what makes it even more dangerous is the monsters inside; they don't follow the rank of the dungeon.

Dungeons are ranked from E to S. Each rank has low and high.

So a Great Dungeon might be an E rank on the outside but have S rank monsters on the inside.

In the book, the Great Dungeon that was triggered was a setup to let the main character power up as he watched his friends nearly beaten to death.
