Chapter 0509: Attack of the Titans

As the stirring battle anthem echoed through the air, many of the foreign cultivators' expressions darkened. A shadow crept into their eyes—full of coldness and wariness.

"Such astonishing morale… that intense fighting spirit… This time, Xuanhuang City clearly has no intention of retreating. This is a blatant provocation against us all—they want a head-on clash to determine victory and defeat."

"That arrogant Yi Tianxing… That audacious Xuanhuang City dares to provoke all the foreign races under heaven. Does that battle song imply they'll butcher us like pigs and dogs? Outrageous. Brazen beyond belief!"

"Bold. Truly bold. Who would have thought the human race could produce such a madman? Do they really think that with a mere twenty-thousand troops, they can carve a bloody path through all our tribes? If Yi Tianxing manages to return to Xuanhuang City with his army intact, we'll lose all face. How can we allow the human race to rise—unless it's over our corpses?"

Even as Yi Tianxing's overwhelming fighting spirit shook them to the core, their hearts burned with fury.

This wasn't just defiance—it was a clear, unabashed challenge to every foreign tribe with designs on conquest. As if they didn't matter. To kill as they pleased. With utter disregard.

Their rage was palpable.

But no matter how furious they were, none dared to act rashly.

The fate of the kobolds was laid bare for all to see. This army before them was not one that could be easily crushed. Anyone who charged forward recklessly might end up losing their fangs—and becoming a stepping stone for others. No one was willing to be the test subject, the sacrificial pawn, unless they were absolutely certain of victory.

As for an alliance?

No one even considered it. There was no trust among them. Who knew if a so-called ally might stab you in the back at a critical moment?

Better to act alone.

And so, with mutual suspicion festering among the foreign tribes, Yi Tianxing led his army forward—step by step, mile after mile.Even after marching dozens of miles, no one made a move. All waited, hoping someone else would strike first, so they could be the fisherman reaping the spoils.

But Yi Tianxing and his men showed no signs of relaxing.

Their march was steady and unwavering.

It was clear from the movements in the forests behind and around them that a vast number of foreign tribes were following in secret—like venomous snakes hiding in the shadows, waiting for prey to tire before striking a fatal blow.

Fu Hongxue, holding his long blade, marched with the army, his gaze constantly scanning the surroundings, alert and watchful.

Ye Zhiqiu was similarly focused, his senses sharpened, ready to act at the first sign of danger and make the most effective response.

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM!

As the army advanced, a series of thunderous booms echoed from the ground—as though a stampede of thousands of warhorses was approaching. In the distance, ancient trees collapsed one after another.

"Halt! Defensive formation!"shouted Wang Dahu, raising his hand.

Anyone who couldn't sense such a massive disturbance by now might as well be dead.

"Giants. Enormous giants. But… What kind of giants are these? They're nothing like the Mountain Giants we've seen before. Their aura is vastly different."

"They look like beasts—some wearing bone armor. And their heights vary drastically!"

"Giants incoming! Divine Machinery Battalion, prepare! Three Talents Arrow Formation!"ordered Yang Yanping swiftly.

The soldiers of the Divine Machinery Battalion quickly formed up in groups of three, locking their crossbows in place.Eyes cold and sharp, they scanned the surroundings—then looked toward the source of the disturbance.

They saw them.

Towering giants, charging rapidly.

Even the shortest of them stood fifteen to sixteen meters tall, while the tallest reached forty to fifty meters. The pressure they exuded was terrifying—like mice facing elephants, the sheer scale created a suffocating sense of oppression.

And these were not the same giants as before.

They bore beast-like appearances. For instance, a wolf-headed giant, around seventeen meters tall, covered in fur.A massive ape giant, wild and muscular, radiating raw savagery. They were clearly beastmen enlarged to giant size, radiating pure aggression. Their eyes brimmed with bloodlust.

Then there were the humanoid giants, clad in bone armor—not forged, but formed from their own skeletal growths. A part of their body.Their presence was like a mountain—immovable and heavy.

A third kind stood out: giants radiating a crystalline sheen, emitting a regal aura.

"These are giants? They seem unrelated to the Mountain Giant Clan. Are there such giants in this region? Their bodies and aura are definitely extraordinary—not to be underestimated."

"Perfect. These giants clearly intend to target the human race. Let them be the vanguard—another test of strength. Their auras are equivalent to cultivators of the Life Aperture Realm. Giants are said to possess immense physical strength—clearly on the body cultivation path."

The appearance of these giants sparked delight among the foreign races.

Many had been hesitating—now someone else would do the dirty work. Perfect.

They stayed back, ready to watch the show.

"Attack on the Titans... These are those mutated giants,"Yi Tianxing's eyes narrowed as he stared at the grotesque figures.A strange familiarity surfaced in his mind.

They resembled the terrifying giants from a manga during the Cataclysm—the kind that were massive due to mutation, not bloodline.

Real giants, however, had natural bloodlines and near-infinite potential.Once matured, they could sweep through regions with ease.

But in the Merged Myriad Worlds, there was no telling if these once-defective giants had now mutated into something even more powerful. What was certain: they were not weak, and they had formed into a formidable race.

Yi Tianxing's heart grew cold.

In Attack on Titan, those giants were butchers—killers of mankind, feeding on humans as if they were cattle. Their cruelty was unparalleled.

"No mercy. Any who approach—kill without exception,"Yi Tianxing ordered grimly.

Giant or not—even if heavenly soldiers stood before him—he would still kill.

"Humans. Hand over the treasure. I want that tower!"A crystal giant, over fifty meters tall, stepped forward. Each step shook the ground, crushing foliage and leaving enormous footprints. His huge lantern-like eyes stared down at Yi Tianxing as he shouted, his voice booming like thunder.

He looked at Yi Tianxing's forces like they were ants.

He wielded a crystal battle-axe, gleaming with deadly light.

"If you want the treasure, come take it.You want my Life-bound Treasure? Then you're after my life. And if you want my life…trade yours for it."Yi Tianxing sneered coldly.

Though small in stature compared to the giant, his posture was no less imposing.

"Attack!!"The crystal giant roared, eyes blazing with fury.

ROAR!!

Beast giants, bone-armored giants, and crystal giants all charged toward Yi Tianxing.

Some wielded bone clubs, others gigantic hooks.Their swings could shatter mountains and pulverize flesh.

"Fire!!"The Divine Machinery Battalion was first to respond.

As soon as the giants entered range, they loosed a storm of bolts without hesitation.

SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

Arrows tore through the sky like meteors, glowing with rune-light.

Armor-piercing bolts

Wind Arrows

Flame Arrows

Ice Arrows

All fired at once.

Swift as lightning.Dense as rain.

Some giants roared and smashed arrows midair with their weapons—immense destructive force on display. Each possessed strength equivalent to hundreds of thousands of jin.

But they couldn't block everything.

Some bolts pierced through, landing solid hits.

Armor-piercing arrows broke through their flesh, though often stopped by muscle before hitting bone.

Flame arrows exploded but caused only superficial burns.

Ice arrows left frozen patches—quickly shattered by the giants' movements.

To giants, these arrows were like sewing needles.Painful—but far from fatal.

The power of crossbows was greatly reduced against these massive foes.
