Chapter 0644: Ghost Cave

"This is a cave; it looks like we've finally left that cursed land behind. We've escaped from the Devil's oasis. The air here, though still containing some Yin energy, has more vitality than the world we were in before. This is the human realm."

Jiang Ni appeared on the platform and surveyed his surroundings, speaking slowly, his words carrying a hint of confidence. As a Feng Shui master, his understanding of terrain and the environment was far beyond that of ordinary people. He could easily tell if they were in the Yin or Yang realms, and there was no mistaking it.

"Where is this? It feels so eerie. Could we still be trapped in the Ghost Realm?"

Song Yuting also emerged, glancing around nervously. A cold wind blew, and she muttered, fear evident on her face. If they hadn't truly left, no one knew how long they could survive in that kind of place.

Woooooo!!

A gust of cold wind swept up from the abyss, accompanied by the wailing sounds of ghosts. It seemed as if vengeful spirits were screeching in their ears, the terrifying howls echoing endlessly. Looking into the abyss, it seemed to lead directly to the gates of Hell. Falling in would undoubtedly spell disaster.

On the cave's walls, ancient murals were etched. They depicted various scenes—common people worshipping deities, sacrifices of living creatures, and large crowds revering eerie black serpents. These scenes unveiled traces of civilization.

This was no ordinary cave.

It was an ancient place of worship for a certain tribe, filled with a religious and almost blood-soaked atmosphere.

"I also feel that this place has the air of a ghost den," Wu Shuanggui said with a slight frown. He could sense the strange ghostly energy here, which was unmistakable to his senses. Even from a hundred miles away, he could feel it clearly.

"This place is filled with ghostly energy. There's a bottomless abyss and murals on the walls—this is definitely not a good place. I once heard of an ancient city in the Golden Sands Desert, a city ruled by the Queen of the Desert. She had a direct lineage known as the Ghost Cave Tribe. Their culture came from ghost caves, and it's said that the tribe worshiped mysterious ghost deities in these caves for protection. This should be the legendary Ghost Cave," Jiang Ni explained, his eyes scanning the surroundings. He saw many menacing caverns dotting the landscape—some perhaps the former dwellings of the Ghost Cave Tribe, while others might be tunnels, stretching into the depths. They looked like terrifying eyes, watching the cave.

"This is the Ghost Cave," Wu Shuanggui murmured in surprise. "Legend has it that the most mysterious place in the ancient city was the Ghost Cave, the sacred ground of the Ghost Cave Tribe. It was heavily guarded, and no outsiders were allowed in. If someone intruded, they would be mercilessly pursued until death. There's also a legend that the Queen of the Desert gained immense powers from the Ghost Cave, which allowed her to control the mysterious serpents and build the vast empire of the ancient city."

The Ghost Cave, deep within the Golden Sands Desert, had always been an enigma.

Despite the strong curiosity many might have felt, none dared approach it. It was a forbidden area—unless the Queen of the Desert allowed it, no one could enter.

Now, they were standing within the Ghost Cave, which only heightened Wu Shuanggui's curiosity as he began to look around.

"Look, what's that?"

At that moment, Song Yuting pointed toward a distant platform. On it, a colossal ancient tree stood, its massive trunk unmistakable. It was not just any tree—it was truly gigantic. Its bark had a dark green hue. Even from afar, it was clear that this was a colossal living being.

Yi Tianxing immediately noticed the enormous tree as well. Even just its trunk was so large that it would take more than a hundred people to encircle it. This was no ordinary ancient tree—it was a true divine tree.

"The Kunlun Divine Tree, one of the legendary sacred trees. It really exists, and it's right here in the Ghost Cave. This is clearly a section of the tree that has been cut. If the tree were whole, it would be utterly astonishing," Yi Tianxing said, his breath catching in excitement. His eyes gleamed with strong interest.

"The Kunlun Divine Tree, also known as Kunlun Ruomu, is an extremely rare and mystical tree. Even when severed, its vitality remains incredibly strong. The sap it produces contains immense life force—just a drop can heal any wound, regenerate flesh, and even restore lost limbs. It can keep women eternally youthful, never aging. Most importantly, Ruomu can gather the essence of heaven and earth, suppress spiritual veins. This is an unparalleled treasure, no wonder the Queen of the Desert guards this Ghost Cave so fiercely," Jiang Ni added, taking a deep breath in awe.

"What a treasure, I must have it."

Yi Tianxing could no longer hold back his desire. Without a second thought, he turned and quickly made his way toward the giant platform.

"Let's go and see."

Song Yuting, too, was struck by intense curiosity and moved to follow him.

"No one is to approach! The Kunlun Divine Tree is something the Lord values deeply. You have no right to lay a hand on it!"

Wu Shuanggui stepped forward, blocking their path. His eyes glinted with a fierce warning. To ensure Yi Tianxing obtained the divine tree, he would not hesitate to heavily injure the others.

"Rest assured, I have no intention of taking the tree. The Kunlun Divine Tree is a forbidden treasure of the Queen of the Desert. It's not something that just anyone can steal. Even if we could, it may bring more trouble than benefit. I have enough problems of my own; I don't need more," Jiang Ni replied calmly, sincerity in his voice.

"I'll let you look, but if any of you try to take the tree, don't blame me for being ruthless," Wu Shuanggui said, giving them a cold smile before turning his attention back to Yi Tianxing.

By now, Yi Tianxing had already made it to the platform.

"What a massive piece of divine wood. The Queen of the Desert must have been quite fortunate to obtain this," he said, awestruck by its sheer size. The tree's trunk was massive, and at its height, it stood more than thirty meters tall. However, this was still only a small part of the tree—its full form would likely be even more incredible. The most remarkable thing about the tree was the vibrant life force emanating from it. The energy in the air surrounding the tree was much stronger than anywhere else.

As Yi Tianxing stared at the tree, his desire grew even stronger.

At that moment, a sudden burst of blue light radiated from the tree. The light flickered on and off, lighting up the surroundings when it was shining, only to fade away when it disappeared.

Yi Tianxing's steps faltered.

"What's that?"

He felt a surge of caution. He didn't believe that a treasure as valuable as the Kunlun Divine Tree would be unprotected. There must be hidden mechanisms or something guarding it. Moving recklessly might lead to deadly consequences.

"It's the Fire Beetles, the sacred creatures of the Ghost Cave Tribe—Ghost Fire Beetles!"

Yi Tianxing's mind immediately recognized the phenomenon. The blue light resembled the glow emitted by Ghost Fire Beetles.

These creatures were said to emit ghostly flames, known as the Ghostly Inferno. If they landed on a person, it would burn them to ash almost instantly.

Suddenly, the blue light flashed brightly, and swarms of Ghost Fire Beetles emerged from the divine tree. They swarmed toward Yi Tianxing, attacking him relentlessly, each beetle using its body to crash into him, attempting to ignite him with their ghostly flames.
