The earth was home. The sky was a curse.
That’s what the Ishvalans believed.
Tarn, leader of the flame-haired Ishvalan tribe, ruled with pride and fire. He feared no man, no beast, no god. But the gods didn’t care. One day, they tore his island from the earth—ripped it from its roots—and dragged it into the sky.
Up there, in a world of floating cities and golden towers, the gods claimed dominion. They called his homeland a “divine offering.” Tarn called it war.
Outnumbered. Outmatched. He fought anyway.
Spear in hand. Heart burning.
Until he stood before the God-King himself... and died.
But death wasn’t the end.
Tarn wakes again—reborn in the body of a god, cast far away on a different sky island. Same red hair. Same rage. The gods thought they’d erased his people.
They were wrong.
Now, one man—born of earth, reborn in heaven—will rise.
And the skies will bleed for it.
