Clearing out the demon corpses alone took several days.
Yet, the battlefield ruins remained dark and foul-smelling, shrouded in an ominous and eerie atmosphere.
Any living creature stepping into the area would gradually feel uneasy, eventually succumbing to madness and demonic corruption.
Lin Tian's face was clouded with worry. If a solution wasn't found, the main city could eventually be polluted by the demonic aura, rendering even victory meaningless.
It was hard not to acknowledge why demons were universally feared and despised.
They were like nuclear weapons: the destruction didn't end with the explosion; the radiation lingered.
"Your Majesty, leave the demon pollution to me. Coincidentally, I've recently learned a Mythic-Class spell," said Katheryn from behind him.
Standing beside her was the One-Eyed Owl, who chimed in, "Hey, did you forget about her? She's the Holy Mother! Purifying something like this is a walk in the park for her."
The One-Eyed Owl had noticed Lin Tian's constant frown over the past few days and had gone out of her way to fetch Katheryn from the countryside.
Katheryn had joined Lin Tian largely for the sake of the people of the Lionheart Empire. She spent most of her time in rural areas, helping residents with treatments and healing.
Lin Tian's eyes widened in realization and curiosity. "A Mythic-Class spell? Where did you learn that?"
Katheryn flushed slightly under his gaze. "While treating someone in the countryside, a farming family gave it to me. They said it was left behind by a Great Sage who passed through the area before the Lionheart Empire was even established."
"A Great Sage?" Lin Tian's brows furrowed. He recalled that outside the Demigod Empire, there was another nation built entirely on religious faith.
Its scale dwarfed even the Church.
The five leaders of that nation were revered as Sages.
Turning to Katheryn's status panel, he saw the unbelievable: a Mythic-Class skill.
Sage's World Skill
[Sage's World – Mythic-Class Magic]: Creates a Sage's Domain that continuously purifies all monsters. During this time, the caster enters an invincible state, though at the cost of immense mana.
At this moment, Katheryn had already walked to the center of the battlefield ruins.
As the pages of her spellbook fluttered in the wind, she began to chant softly.
Under her feet, enormous magic circles unfolded, covering almost the entire battlefield—about ten miles in diameter.
Then, light erupted!
Holy chants echoed!
Golden runes floated in the air, creating a breathtaking scene.
Katheryn herself was enveloped in a radiant golden glow, her figure obscured by the divine brilliance.
In her hands was the Endless Holy Grail, which greatly extended the duration of her domain.
However, the pollution left behind by the demons was purged in mere moments.
Seeing how easily the task was completed, Lin Tian shrugged helplessly. "Alright, I guess professional work should be left to the professionals."
He turned to leave, finally allowing himself some time to relax.
After taking a short break, he used the Life Simulation System to run a simulation on Celeste. At least it confirmed she bore no ill intentions.
"Tch, only a little over a hundred life points. If I want to gain more power, I'll have to find another way," he muttered.
Back at the palace, Lin Tian sat in his chair, his face heavy with worry.
Even with resources from the Uninhabited Zone, there was no effective or powerful way to significantly boost his strength.
At best, he could scrape together a few thousand combat power after spending enormous time and effort, but that wasn't enough to make a difference.
Meanwhile, the One-Eyed Owl and Bill were already eager to enter the Demigod Empire.
One was driven by the possibility that Hercules might be her father—a truth she had to confront.
The other had learned that a Pureblood Dwarf Empire existed in that region and was desperate to see it for himself.
"By the way, Big Sis, if Hercules really is your father, what will you do?" Lin Tian asked.
Seated in her chair, the One-Eyed Owl looked equally preoccupied but replied coldly, "If that bastard is my father, I'll kill him with my own hands."
"What?!" Everyone was stunned, completely caught off guard by her declaration.
Lin Tian quickly pressed her, "Are you serious?"
The One-Eyed Owl nodded firmly. "My mother starved to death when I was very young. She told me before she died that she was forced to give birth to me. If Hercules really is my father, his death is near. I'll kill him myself…!"
The atmosphere in the great hall grew stifling.
The One-Eyed Owl's eyes burned with fury.
At this moment, Alice stepped forward. "Count me in."
"We'll help too!" Gobu Kuang added.
Gobu Yue, Sara, and the others all nodded in agreement.
Lin Tian's expression was grim. "I see. Don't worry, Big Sis. Whether he's your father or not, his days are numbered."
The One-Eyed Owl was visibly moved by everyone's resolute support.
Lin Tian then turned to Bill. "And you, Master Bill? Are you hoping to visit the Pureblood Dwarf Empire?"
Hearing this, Bill explained, "Yes, I want to learn more refined forging techniques, especially advanced ones. Something like a God-Slaying Super Weapon, probably a Sun-Class magic artifact… or even higher."
Lin Tian thought about it and didn't see any issues. "Alright, I'll do my best to help when the time comes. But for now, we need to focus on everyone improving their combat power. The bottlenecks are getting increasingly severe."
This applied to everyone—goblins, humans like Alice, dwarves, and even dragons.
Most were nearing their combat limits.
Alice, in particular, was almost a miracle.
With the most ordinary body, she had managed to create the most extraordinary combat strength.
But even she had reached her limit. Her techniques were already at the pinnacle of human achievement, and her skills had peaked as well.
Without access to even stronger skills, further growth seemed impossible.
Everyone was at a loss.
Gobu Yue pouted in thought. "Didn't you say the owner of the Succubus House is connected to the Lucifer Family? How about asking her?"
"That…"
The others immediately dismissed the idea. None of them were keen on interacting with demons.
After all, demons' nature and reputation needed no explanation.
But Lin Tian's eyes lit up. "That's a good point. You all go about your tasks; I'll go and ask her myself."
With anticipation, he headed toward the Succubus House. He also grabbed some newly completed works from the Drawing Demon to bring along.
When he arrived outside the familiar office, Lin Tian suddenly felt his heart tremble. His chest thudded, and an inexplicable fear and unease coursed through his body.
Something unusual was inside this office.
Knock, knock, knock.
After hesitating for a while, he knocked on the door.
There was no immediate response.
It was only after a few minutes that Celeste's voice came from inside. "Your Majesty Goblin King? Come in."
As soon as her voice sounded, the overwhelming sense of unease vanished completely.
When Lin Tian entered the room, Celeste was sitting there, just as she always did.
But his face was filled with curiosity. "Your Highness, do you have some kind of clairvoyance? I didn't even speak. How did you know I was here?"
