The home in Lem Dimension
The home on Zom was an ancient structure carved out of the lava rock layer of the planet. It had many caves, tunnels, caverns, and vast corridors leading to it. These were all in a honeycomb type warren of multiple mazes that led into various directions. Only two of the of the almost infinite paths actually led to the house.
Both Yana and DD knew where the intruders were. They both stepped from the void and shadow forms almost instantly formed within the broad corridor. They were of all shapes and sizes, some of them of beings and others amorphous shapes that seemed to shiver and wave in their stationary positions.
They moved as one, separating into three groups and moving into three different directions. Yana felt something slip into place within her as information flowed into her mind. Then the system message lit up before her eyes.

She ignored it all. With a broad smile she targeted two locations while DD proceeded to the third. Her staff moves with her as if it were a part of her and as someone came from the shadows they were instantly struck. Her (Shadow Control) ability had gone to her other targeted location and the shadow entity that had emerged when rigged, eyes bulging with fear and surprise.
She stepped to the one she struck down and made sure it was still alive. Just as she did DD used (Shadow Kill) and the shadow fell dissipating into nothing.
Yana looked up with a frown and (Shadow Manipulate) and (Shadow Call) together to bring her the shadow's soul. She looked at DD with a frown. He shrugged.
"Sometimes I do not know how to hold back… I never know how to hold back."
Yana shook her head and called the petrified Shadow to her.
She freed his mouth. "why would you work for someone such as Simms?"
As she asked she indicated to DD to kill the unconsciou shadow. He did so but this time he allowed the shadow soul to rise up before he obliterated the body. Once Yana had the soul he destroyed the body and looked serenely at the immobile shadow.
Shadows were unique beings. They were essentially immortal as long as both their souls and bodies remained intact and within the control of their own consciousness. If there body was completely obliterated they could not recall it. Only very powerful shadows, like Yana, could recreate their bodies from nothing. And if their souls were subdued by another they never had the thought of recreation. They simply became servants.
This immobile shadow understood his fate and as he looked to Yana his eyes widened.
"You are the Fatetress."
Yana said nothing so DD answered.
"Yes. Your new Mistress is the Fatetress."
The shadow closed his eyes and let out a resound sigh.
"Our cousin warned us."
"The Wao that works for Simms?"
"Yes Mistress. And we do not work for Simms. Not even Ka truly works for him. We are just mercenaries."
Yana nodded as she literally ripped his soul from his being. She both loved and hated shadows but those driven like these were, purely for money filled her with insurmountable anger. DD once again used (Shadow Kill) and the shadow form dissipated.
Yana looked to him. "You truly have a distaste for my kind."
DD frowned. "You are not of them."
Yana nodded and they blinked to the next presence they felt. This was a human and she allowed DD to handle him as she watched. DD knew that Yana wanted the soul so he refrained from killing him as he liked to kill humans, burning them from the inside out.
As the human fell and Yana pulled the soul toward herself the system lit up before her eyes, reminding her that it had done so before.

Still she ignored it.
She watched DD pull the heart from the human corpse in confusion until she remembered the system. Only then did she call it up.

Her eyes lit up as she smiled. First (Shadow Call) rose an entire level, not half a level. Second she liked this new pet. She had been planning to feed all the souls to Jasmine to increase her level but now she thought better of it.
"Jasmine,, Mag. To me" Next to Jasmine was a black flame with flowing sparks of red, purple, and green. Yana smiled and nodded. She gave Jasmine one shadow soul and the human soul and she gave Mag the remaining two shadow souls. She could sense Jasmine's abilities change and evolve. Mag actually put on a grander show. The little flame grew and two of her sparks intensified. Yana watched as the red and purple sparks brightened and became stronger. She could sense that they had changed in some way but because she did not know Mag's abilities yet she did not know exactly what happened.
She nodded in satisfaction and decided to wait for later to understand more. Both Jasmine and Mag understood instantly and entered her soul.
She took the human heart from DD and wrapped it in a shadow seal that would only open when Simms or Ka held it.
"Statlight. To me." The beautiful Ball of light appeared before her. She couldn't help but smile. "please take this to Shi. Either Simms or Ka can receive it." Starlight pulsed a few times and vanished. Yana looked up at the ceiling of the cavern they were in. Even without stars she could star step. Yana wondered if she had always been fascinated by that.
She looked to DD and they both returned to the house.
Planet Tilla of Lem Dimension:
Tilla was a planet of lava. Their were six volcanic peaks above this massive flow but they were merely the peaks with no real land mass. All of the land was below the lava. In some parts of the planet the lava flowed serenely and in other parts it flowed quickly and fiercely.
Most shadow on the planet lived deep below ground but even there lava flowed in small streams and dripped from cavern ceilings and walls. The culture here on Tilla was modern, almost futuristic, and Yana had been surprised to homes levitating high in the main cavern of a great city on the planet. The home was spherical and encased in obsidian. She had thought it was some sort of communications sphere but Tasha, rather rudely, explained that it was a home. Then proceeded to look at Yana with disdain when Yana was impressed by this.
But of course the shadow memories were not below ground. No. They were deep within the lava. So Yana once again found herself on a shadow ship. It took them two days to sail to the positon and in this time she began to understand why illusion had increased and she began to understand Mag's abilities.
