Prologue: The Fall

The sea boiled with divine fire.

Once, the Leviathans ruled the Abyss—a primordial race born from the first darkness, guardians of the Deep Cycle, older than stars. But the gods, jealous of their power, came from the skies with blades of starlight and spears of judgment. One by one, the Leviathans fell. Betrayed. Butchered.

Only one remained.

As his colossal form shattered beneath a hundred divine spears, his consciousness slipped through time, not into death, but something else.

Something waiting.

System initializing…

Chapter 1: Eyes in the Deep

He awoke in darkness. Not just the absence of light—but the crushing, eternal black of the deepest trenches beneath the world's ocean.

For a moment, he remembered dying. The light of the gods. The screaming of his kin.

Then came the voice again.

Welcome, Host.

He opened his eyes—eight of them—each seeing differently. The abyssal waters pulsed around him, ancient and heavy. His body was still small—barely the size of a galleon—but raw potential coiled in every scale.

"System," he thought, his voice a deep tremor in his mind. "What are my capabilities?"

And then came the pulse.

From the watery black above, a light descended—pure, holy, merciless.

A god fragment. A shard of judgment.

His instincts screamed. Even in this new body, he knew: if he stayed, he would die again.

He twisted, tail sweeping like a tidal storm, and vanished into the trench below, where no godlight could reach.

Chapter 2: Hunger and Depth

Down in the ancient cracks of the world, things older than memory stirred.

He was not alone. Serpents of stone, ancient krakens, and forgotten horrors skittered in the dark, hunting, hiding, hungering. But he was a Leviathan. And though young, he was heir to apocalypse.

His hunger flared.

[Devour] activated.

Target consumed: Abyssal Fangbeast. +37 XP

New Trait: Echo Hide (Passive) – Slight resistance to sonic magic.

He would eat, grow, and evolve.

And when the gods came again, they would not find a helpless wyrmling.

They would find the last Leviathan—reborn, ascended, and wrathful.
