Nile Santos lived a life of sacrifice — always stepping aside, always giving others the best gear, always following orders without question. In the end, none of it mattered. His comrades fell, his body was broken, and he died a meaningless death in the final battle against an unstoppable force.
But fate isn’t finished with him.
Offered a second chance by the very beings who led him to ruin, he’s thrust back in time with all his memories intact. This time, though, he’s not playing the role of a noble shield. No more selflessness. No more obedience. No more being a pawn.
Armed with future knowledge and a will forged in failure, he vows to rewrite his story — to take everything for himself. Skills, loot, allies, power… all of it. It’s time for one man to climb to the top, no matter what it takes.

It is a decent story but dropping purely on update rate, it's been 16 days since the last chapter and that's too long in between chapters when every other story I read is updated daily, and this one being pretty new, doesn't have me hooked in enough to wait this long. The author says it's because they're working on other stories atm and they will return, unfortunately, I've seen this pattern too many times to give it a chance. These types of stories, where the author stops for a long time then comes back with a few chapters only to take another break to work on their other novels, always end up getting slowly dropped. So I'm out, but if you read this at a time when it's being updated regularly, then I'd recommend trying it as I enjoyed the first 26 chapters.
So far, everything is good. This book has a lot to offer and I would like to experience those by reading. I have been Raging's fan since he first published the "The Unrivaled Holder: Rise of the Dragon Monarch", and I can say that the way this author thinks of its plot is just mad good. Although there are bit of inconsistency and whatnot, I believe those are normal, and I wanted this guy to succeed on writing.
