Bandits! (1)

For the past hour or so, Nixon has done nothing but train and work out. After feeling fatigued, he decided to stop for now and find something else to do. Like, looking for a boat to depart with, or something else.

His stats had already grown exponentially. Even Nixon himself was surprised at how fast his progress was, but that's just how OP his infinite potential and growth wish he made was. After roaming the seemingly peaceful island, he heard some chatter after following a creek into a camp of some sort.

The sound of brawling and anger was evident as Nixon grew closer to the camp near the creek. He moved past the thick and green bushes until he saw men of all kinds sitting around. A few had cutlasses at their sides and were dressed in some tattered attire, the rest looked like just some runners and minions of some sort.

A group of men were in a big circle, in the circle were 2 men who were having an out slug-fest of raw, unadulterated energy. Their fists collided with each other's faces with a cruel crunch, and blood was splattered from noses and busted lips. With each fist landed, the crowd and circle of men got louder and cheered.

The clinks of glasses and gulps of booze caught Nixon's attention; nearly all of the men were drunk. Nixon was just curious as to what was even happening, and as he was about to leave, he noticed 3 women tied up and bruised. They had hollow eyes and still bodies, the purple bruises and red marks on their faces and bodies through torn clothes told a million stories.

They were seated by 2 men, both of whom had swords by their side. Nixon wasn't the type to pick a fight, but this angered him a ton. How could these guys treat people like this and then drink and laugh like it's normal? He couldn't just let this go.

'If I'm going to do anything, I should at least just try to free the women and go. But, seeing those bastard's faces unruined won't make me happy, it'll only piss me off further.'

"They have swords too, and it's a lot of them. If I just jump in now, I'll either be stabbed, shot, or beaten to death, so that's out of the picture."

Nixon chose to hurry off, back through the creek, through the lush grass and forest, and to the town that lived by the water. The town was a lively one, for the most part. It was mostly made of wooden and stone buildings, and there were a lot of youths visible just playing around.

Nixon caught a mean look from older eyes as he walked by, and he noticed this. He wondered why the more mature people of the village and town looked at him like some thief ready to cause havoc. "Perhaps...I am to them?" Nixon theorized.

'I have no place to stay, or sleep, where do I go?'

While Nixon was busy thinking of where he could rest his head, he heard his name being called out from behind. There stood 2 boys, and as far as he could tell, they seemed to be the same age as Nixon. The only thing off was that they didn't look at him like a friend, but an enemy, like someone to rival against.

"We've been looking for your ass all day. Where have you been hiding?" The one standing to the left said.

The boys were also twins. Their faces were round and matched the shape of their eyes, not to mention the absurd-looking mohawks. Nixon held back everything, just not to laugh in their faces right then and there. "What do you guys want?" Nixon asked.

"You know what we want! My brother and I want you to stop coming around our slum!"

Nixon was very curious as to what they meant, so he asked:

"What do you mean?"

They clenched their jaws, "Don't play dumb with us! You know what we mean!"

"Calm down Linn, don't let this bozo get the best of you."

"Sorry, Shin. But, like I said, don't play dumb!"

Nixon remained in the dark, just staring blankly at the two idiotic twin brothers.

"You keep coming out to our slums, taking scraps, and then causing trouble in the village!"

Nixon didn't do any of that, or at least he didn't know he did. So, as before, Nixon looked as dumb and lost as before. His blank face, his lost and bright golden eyes, only fueled the anger in the twin brothers, and before soon, they both broke.

"You bastard!!!" They said in unison.

Shin yelled out, "Since it seems you need a little reminder, we're gonna give it to you!"

The both of the brothers rushed at Nixon, their fist's each cocked back and ready to burst forward in a unified double punch.

But in a blink, Nixon had ducked and grabbed both of their arms. He tripped them both, gripped their faces, and through them down onto their backs.

[Agility: 89]

"Too slow," Nixon said with a cheeky grin and arrogant tone.

He then picked both of them up by the hems of their shirts, began to spin, and chucked them head first into a tree with no remorse. The tree rattled as they collided in a comedic manner, causing Nixon to burst out into laughter.

[Power: 100]

"Even if you two managed to land a hit, it would be laughable."

[Durability: 98]

"Now, if you excuse me, I have a dream to attain and a goal to reach. Firstly, I have to give each of those bandits up by the creek a good punch to the face," Nixon spoke with immense resolve and an unbreakable determination.

[Willpower: 35]

The twins lay beaten and defeated, groaning and rubbing the growing knots on their heads, "Owww..."

"Was he always that strong?..." Linn asked.

"I-I don't think so," His brother, Shin, replied.

"Let's just...leave him alone, we can't handle him."

"Okay, brother..."

The twins also fell asleep in unison.
