Cursed shh..

When I returned home, my father greeted me with anger. However, after taking a deep breath, he calmed down and said, "Why did you go out when you're sick?"

"I'm sorry, Dad. I won't do it again," I replied with pleading eyes.

He didn't say anything else and instructed Korounganbi to take me to my room. Once I entered, Korounganbi quickly helped me settle into bed and then left.

I took out my necklace and gazed at it. Somehow, this necklace always brought me a sense of ease.

After having dinner, I was trying to sleep when Korounganbi entered my room and said, "My lady, I'm sorry to disturb you, but the Lord has summoned you."

"Will you guide me there?" I asked.

She nodded and led me outside. To my surprise, I found that the entire village had gathered. My classmates were in the front, but not all of them were present.

I also noticed an old man who looked peculiar. When my father saw me, he called me over, and I walked to him. He was sitting in a chair.

"Dad, what is happening here?" I asked.

He replied, "We are holding a meeting."

"Why?" I inquired, intrigued.

"Just listen," he said.

The old man then spoke loudly, "The children have lost their memories because the demon lord has cursed us."

What is happening here? I wondered.

He continued, "Not only our village but also other villages are affected. Children have lost their memories. If we don't defeat the demon lord now, we will all be doomed."

My father then stood up and said, "We have received word from other villages that we should join forces to fight against the demon lord."

I was shocked to hear it. My dad turned to me and said, " Don't worry, everything will be fine."

More than worried, I'm surprised a real demon lord! I want to see him.

"Laija, get your mind together. The situation is serious right now." I thought to myself. " But more importantly, how are they gonna fight the demon? Isn't he supposed to be powerful?"

The old man continued, " After thousands of years, the demon lord has woken up. It's now time that we finish him."

The whole village shouted in agreement. That way, the meeting was over. People started going home. I wanted to talk to my classmates, but before I could.

" Leisana, come, it's getting late," my father called me.

As I was following him, many questions ran through my head. I was curious.

My father went to his room. Korounganbi followed me to set my bed.

" Korounganbi, how are we gonna defeat the demon lord? Isn't he powerful?" I asked.

If I'm right, the demon lord knows magic, but we are normal humans.

" Yes, my lady, you are right, he is indeed powerful. No weapon can harm him. But magic can. Our village is one of the most powerful magic wielders." She answered.

She then started telling me about the demon lord. I love how talkative she is.

A thousand years ago, out of nowhere, a demon lord rose. He controlled all the demons. He was so powerful that everywhere he went, there was always destruction. But the magician worked hard and tried to kill him, but couldn't. Then the goddess blesses one of the saintesses. She couldn't kill him either, but she successfully sealed him. But as a result, the saintess became an angel.

After settling me to bed, she was about to leave the room, then I stopped her and said, " Korounganbi, please tell me the story of my village and its power." My curiosity was piqued; I wanted to know more.

She said, " As I have said, our village is one of the strongest villages. When the saintess sealed the Demon lord, the demons became more wild, and they were out of control. The demon lord was sealed in the middle of this forest, it's like they were protecting it."

She continued, "So some of the powerful mages use their power to seal them here. They started living here so that they would never come out of here. We checked on the demon lord time to time, but yesterday he was missing, leaving no trace."

When she got up to leave the room, a bell rang loudly. We both ran out to check.

The demons have attacked the villages there are so many that it's hard to describe them.

The villagers were all holding weapons and fighting restlessly. And for the first time in my life, I saw magic.

When someone swung his sword, a powerful wind came towards it, looking so powerful. But before it could hi,t Korounganbi saved me.

She said, " My lady, let's hide somewhere safe," and she pulled me into the house.

I wanted to see more, but she was fast. After some time, the demons were all driven away.

I went outside and saw that my father was covered in blood. Then he turned around he was completely fine. Looks like it was demon's blood. I almost had a heart attack.

He wasn't my real father, but I don't think I can see him hurt.

I ran to him and said, " Dad, are you fine?"

He said, " I'm fine. They were just some low-level demons."

I was shocked they were low-level, seriously! They look so scary. Dark and gloomy. Some have sharp claws.

I was just processing my mind, then I saw my mom. She was holding a bow. She looked so cool.

Then she came to us and asked Dad if he was fine.

I also saw some of my friends trembling in fear. And I decided that I would talk to them tomorrow.

All the people went into their home and left the mess to be cleaned tomorrow.

I was in bed. It's still hard to sleep on it.

"I couldn't believe that I was truly in another world. I want to know more about it and learn magic. It's a lie to say I'm not scared, but that fear is nothing compared to my excitement.

I was bored with my life—wake up, go to school, listen to Mary's nonsense, return home, study, sleep, and repeat. This new world feels like the adventure I've always wanted.

Even though it's fun, I don't want to stay here. This is not my home, and I miss my parents and brother, as well as 5Star.

The person whose body I now inhabit looks like me, and their parents resemble my own, and I have a brother. Does she also have one? I haven't seen him, so maybe not."

I was lost in these thoughts. And before I knew, I had fallen asleep.
