"We met again, Revaan."
"You? Again?" The odd girl appeared again.
"Am I dreaming about you again? Or perhaps I am dead this time?"
"No, you are not. It's not the time for you to die so early."
"But, if I am not mistaken, I got into an accident while saving a woman and her children."
"Yes, but you didn't die; you survived."
"But how could I make it through such a dreadful accident?"
"You've been saved."
"By whom?"
"You will find out soon."
"Can't you express anything clearly?"
"I want to show you something."
Suddenly, I began to notice some lines that resembled tree branches. And at the end of the lines, several glowing green and red balls dangled as if they were fruits.
"Woah! It's beautiful."
"The green balls symbolize life, while the red balls represent annihilation."
"Life and annihilation! Of What?"
"Of everything. Both living and non-living."
As she stated this, I saw something unusual.
"Wait! Wait! Why are there more red balls than green ones?"
"Revaan, there are some secrets in this world that must remain secret."
"What do you mean?"
"The greatest threat that God has ever created is the human race. Human developments are posing a danger to the walls between mankind and God. However, only you, Revaan, can prevent this from happening."
"To be honest, I didn't understand a word you were saying."
"You will soon have the answers to all of your questions. However, your people are currently waiting for you to wake up."
"I would want to ask you something. I don't know why I never asked you this before. But who exactly are you?"
"As I already said, you will receive all of the answers to your questions. But for the time being, it would be good if you don't know me."
————
"Don't you dare to lie. You ate the oranges in private, I know that."
I heard some familiar sounds even though not feeling my senses.
"Why are you criticizing me for nothing? I think you had some sort of misunderstanding. I believe you accidentally packed only six oranges instead of ten."
It seemed like I could open my eyes now. I was gradually regaining consciousness.
"No mistakes were made by me. I recall bringing ten oranges. You ate four of them, I know that."
I gently opened my eyes and found myself in a hospital. Nathan and Leah were alongside me. And they were fighting like cats over something, as usual.
"Revaan opened his eyes."
"Don't try to change the topic.
Wait! What?"
With delight, they both rushed over to me.
"Revaan, are you all right? Thank God. Finally, you opened your eyes. You have been unconscious for the past two days."
"Are the woman and her children okay?"
"They had minor injuries as well. However, they are fine now."
Leah ran outside to get my dad and the doctor. Nathan stayed with me. I started to wonder how I had survived that calamity.
"Hey Nathan, how did we survive that horrific accident?"
"Someone saved you all. But we don't know who.
We attempted to run to help you all when the accident occurred, but the rescue crew stopped us since the cyclone was about to hit the office. Owing to the situation, we passed the entire night within the tunnel and emerged in the morning. On the ground floor of the office, we discovered all four of you unconscious."
"Did you inquire with the woman if she had seen the person who had saved us?"
"Yes, however she stated that she didn't see anyone since she became unconscious the minute the accident occurred. We didn't want to stress her after everything she'd been through."
"I see. It's okay."
Leah, Dad, and The Doctor entered the room. We broke up our conversation as soon as they came in.
They then questioned whether I was still feeling bad in some way. I also had my father-son talks with my father. The doctor said I'd be discharged in two days.
Two days later, I was ready to go home. Dad was finishing up some paperwork in preparation for my release. It was then that a woman and her two children entered my room. I recognized them since they were the ones I helped that day.
"How are you doing, Revaan?"
"I am OK now, Ma'am. Please have a seat."
"Thanks."
"Harry, Ronny, thank brother Revaan. We are alive today because of him."
Her children both thanked me and left to play in the hospital's garden. She took a seat on the chair next to my bed.
"Well, I did not ask you your name."
"My name is Marina Fenwick.
I wanted to express my gratitude to you once more for everything you done for us. Without regard for your own safety, you selflessly saved me and my children.
This two mean everything to me. When they were just 3 and 2 years old, their father passed away in a car accident."
"Don't be sad Ma'am. You should forget about the terrible things that have happened in your past and focus on your children's future."
"You are right.
I have something for you, by the way."
"For me?"
She handed me a weird device that kind of looks like a smartphone.
"This was handed to me by a girl who rescued us from the calamity that day."
"Wait! What? A girl? "Why did you keep this to yourself when you were being interrogated?"
"I understand you had a lot of inquiries. Let me tell you exactly what happened the night following the accident."
"The minute the accident occurred, you and my children became instantaneously unconscious. I was also hardly conscious. However, I could see the cyclone moving at us. Even the area around us was on fire. At that point, no one arrived to help us. I believed that to be our final moments. There were not many seconds left before we became the cyclone's victims. I closed my eyes, resigned to my destiny. But then I heard a voice."
<"Please, don't die. I will save you.">
"At once, I opened my eyes and found a stunning blonde girl dressed in a strange, high-tech outfit, standing in front of us with a large barrier acting as a shield.
She surrounded us with a few more barriers, creating a little space for us. We were shielded by the barrier from all directions, including above and below. The barrier was so powerful that not even a slight movement could be made by the cyclone. Even as the cyclone passed over us, we remained unharmed.
After a few hours, she took us to the ground floor of the 'West Office'. She helped us with bandages and medications. After that, she gave me this device and told me to give it to you — and no one else. I asked for her name, but she refused, and told me not to tell anybody else about her except you."
"I see. Thank you for telling me the truth."
"I promised her that I would pass this on to you. "I simply fulfilled my promise."
Mrs. Marina left with both of her children after telling me the truth. I stared at the device she had given me, trying to figure out what it was and who had saved us that day. While I was on it, my father arrived to notify me that all of the paperwork had been finished and that I was now ready to go home.
