Chapter 7: Malakai's Revelation

Malakai looked at us with a mysterious smile. "I know you have questions," he said. "But before I answer, I must tell you something very important."

Étienne and I looked at each other, curious. "What is it?" Étienne asked.

Malakai hesitated for a moment before answering. "You are the last representatives of a very ancient lineage," he said. "A lineage that possesses very powerful abilities."

I felt a shiver run down my spine. "What abilities?" I asked.

Malakai smiled. "The powers of light and shadow," he said. "The powers to create and destroy."

Étienne and I looked at each other, incredulous. "That's impossible," Étienne said.

I felt my heart pound. "Save the world?" I repeated.
