Gu Fenyi stepped into a small clothing store near the film and television base. The mall wasn’t big, and prices varied wildly. She didn’t bother checking other stores and chose this one immediately.
A model stood wearing a gingerbread-colored dress with a purple wave collar around the neckline. Gu Fenyi raised her hand and touched the fabric.
Soft.
She turned to the salesperson and said, “I’ll take this one. Pack it.”
The salesperson stood frozen, shocked. It was the first time she had seen someone walk in with so many assistants and bodyguards just to buy clothes. Even though the film base was next door, people like this usually drove far away to shop in luxury.
“Can’t you sell it?” Gu Fenyi asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Y-Yes, I can!” the salesperson stammered.
Gu Fenyi had just learned how to swipe a bank card and withdraw cash. Eager to practice her skills, she asked, “Can I pay by card?”
“Yes,” the salesperson replied.
