RAYLEIGH YU!

Circe opened her eyes to be greeted by the golden light shinning down from a chandelier. She rolled over but did not fall of the bed.

That was a first! The last she remembered, she definitely did not have a chandelier in her room and her bed was so small that whenever she rolled over a bit, she found herself face kissing the floor.

This wasn’t Heaven either, or at least that wasn’t how the Apostles described it.

”Don stand up too quickly, you’ll get a migraine” Circe heard a calm angelic voice say to her, and an angel she was. The angelic voice belonged to a blondie.

Circe always loved blondie, they were the best of the bunch. But her defining features wasn’t the color of her hair, it was her EYES…..there were like glass, fragile glass.

She was also wearing a maid outfit and Circe couldn’t help but wonder how such a gorgeous looking beauty was stuck working as a maid.

She helped Circe with sitting up straight “Are you okay? You had quite a bump there”.

Circe nodded “Yeah, just feeling a bit dizzy, you know…..like the type you have when you’re experiencing a bad hangover”.

She smiled at her dad joke “Probably the effect of the drug, but you should be fine in no time”.

”Thank you……?

”Tyla, i’m Tyla miss Circe”.

That had Circe raising her brows “I don’t think i remember telling you my name”.

She gave a wink “Let’s just say a little birdie whispered to me”.

Circe smiled “May i know the name of the birdie?”.

”Nah! It wouldn’t be fun now would it!” Circe liked her already.

Circe looked around, soddenly conscious of her surroundings “So where am i Tyla?” It was a luxurious room alright, even a hotel room couldn’t look as classy as this here, so she could not help but wonder who it belonged to.

Tyla just kept shut and continue staring at her, a smile on her face.

”I Said……….

”I heard what you said you said the first time” She replied abruptly “…..I’m sorry Miss Circe but i’m not in the right place to answer that question. Dinner is ready, please be down in the next two minutes, Master doesn’t like to be kept waiting” and she walked out of the room.

So much for making a new friend.

MASTER! Who was Master?……..Circe suddenly had a bad feeling about this, but she needed to find out what this was all about and who had brought her here.

**************************

Strolling down the luxurious beaded stairs, Circe couldn’t help but admire the whole mansion(a palace she could call it). The interior decor was giving everything, it was like staring at what you wanted your future home to be like.

She reached for a vase on one of the pillar stand. It shone brightly in her hands and Circe suspected the golden designs were made of authentic gold. Well there was one way to find out, she would have to taste it.

”Break that, and you are in for a lifetime of debt”.

Circe recognised that voice, and it made her stomach turn in a very unpleasant way, what was he doing here?

There was a dinning hall at the other side of the very extremely large room, and there they all sat……Mr Director with his james bond glasses (guess it wasn’t for fancy), Lonza who was laughing at something on his face, the receptionist lady who had given her a card at the entrance of the company, and Him……..The man who decided she could not have peace of mind.

He sat at the head of the large dinning table, which housed various varieties of meals, while the others sat on the other chairs. He looked up at her but almost immediately diverted his gaze like she wasn’t worth it “I see you are awake, Sit!”.

”Not until you tell me what i’m doing here”.

He opened the bottle of champagne beside him and poured a bit into his wine glass…..Was he ignoring her?

”I’m pretty sure you kidnapped me, you’ll pay for committing such a crime”.

”Spicy?” He asked the maidservant serving him and she shook her head.

So he was ignoring her, and so was everyone else in the room.

She sighted Lonza giving her a signal with his eyes for her to sit but there was no way she was going to let this rest.

She walked over to the Demon Yu and just as he was about to place a fork of steak in his mouth, she grabbed him and shove it into hers, before dropping the empty fork on the plate “I don’t think you deserve to eat if you do not answer my questions”.

The room suddenly fell silent, as everyone turned to face them. The steak tasted heavenly, and if she wasn’t trying to prove a point, she would have sat down and devoured the food on the table.

He turned to her and Circe almost squeaked when she stared into his eyes. His bright blue eyes had turned fully dark, and the aura seeping out of him was not a good one.

This was the third time she had beeb met with that gaze, and it was still frightening. She couldn’t help but wonder if that was the real Rayleigh Yu.

Anyways, she was not going to back down, even if her knees threatened to buckle under her weight. It was like being stared down by a Lion, but she had learnt to be a Lioness.

”You don’t scare me” She tried keeping her composure, but it felt like it was going to fall anytime soon.

He blinked and was suddenly back to normal. A smirk appeared at the corner of his lips “You are playing with a scorpion kitten, and you might just find yourself getting stung”.

She frowned, annoyed at the comparison “Well Ive learnt to bash scorpions with the sole of my feet, to teach to know where they belong….BELOW MY FEET”.

The others at the table suddenly started bickering and little chuckling sounds seeped its cracks in the cold silent room.

He smiled. Why was smiling he’s solution and response to everything? “Is that the way to thank the guy who brought you to his house after you collapsed in his office?”.

Circe rolled her eyes “Oh please! I just got hit with a door and passed out for a second. Besides, you could have easily taken me to a hospital or the company’s sickbay, why did it have to be your place?”.

Tyla suddenly walked out from the door opposite yhe dinning hall. She nodded at Circe when she sighted her, and stood beside Demon Yu.

She took the fork and the plate still filled with steak and discarded them in the waste bin, and if Circe didn’t already like her, she could have felt offended.

But just as Tyla was about to start serving Demon Yu, he grabbed her wrist, stopping her “What do you think you are doing?”.

She had a blank expression “Serving you sir”.

He raised his brows “Sir? What happened to calling me Ray? And you know i hate it when you do this things. That’s why we have helpers around”.

So she wasn’t a maid? Circe thought as much.

Tyla bowed “It’s the least thing i can do Ray, for all you have done for me”.

He massaged his temple, getting irritated “Stop this Tyla! Haven’t i done enough by permitting you to wear this ridiculous costume, but thats where it stops. From now on, no working around the house, and definitely no referring to me with honoraries. Now go sit down and have a meal with your family”.

Awnnn…He saw them as family. If I didn’t already know the kind of demon he was, i could have easily mistook him for a kindhearted guy.

”But……

”You know it’s futile arguing with Ray Tyla” Miss Brunette receptionist interjected “Just sit and have your meal”.

And Tyla nodded “Alright Pearl” before going to have her sit beside her.

So her name was Pearl? Touche!

Demon Yu then turned his attention to me “Where you saying something Kitten?”.

Urhhhh….Circe found him super annoying.

”I’m saying i don’t want to stay……….

Suddenly his phone beeped, and that was all it took for him to tune her out.

He stood up ”Lonza, Dominic, Pearl, we’re leaving” the three of them immediately stood up as if on cue, with Lonza trying to gulp the remaining pieces of steaks on his plate in one go.

”Tyla, tell Lounge to come meet us at the office from he comes back from wherever he went” and she nodded.

Then he faced me once again “Sorry Kitten business calls, Let’s talk about this when i’m back”.

Circe frowned “I will not be here by the time you are back, i’m leaving”

He chuckled “Ohh Kitten you can be so silly sometimes” then his gaze darkened “We both know you are going nowhere” and he walked out of the room, his three musketeers following closely behind.

Circe knew she needed to find a way out of this prison of a mansion, but that was after she devoured the varieties of meal on the table.

And she did just that!
