Chapter 124 – Every Last One of You Is Trash, The Fourth Great Ninja War Begins with Me, Renji!
[Mundane Renji] : I feel like Raijin is the real highlight here.
With how the refined T-virus turned out, it's honestly just okay. But if we could mass-produce a weapon from 2000 years in the future? That's a game-changer.
We're talking space-faring-level tech—this thing is insane.
[One Piece Renji] : Even destroyers don't feel impressive anymore. But if I could get a Raijin for my sniper… that'd be awesome!
Our sniper rifles here still rely on loading bullets. Raijin is pure energy. But how do you reload something like that?
[Resident Evil Renji] : Raijin still needs research. I've only got twenty rounds—once they're gone, that's it. I'll need Red Queen to work on replicating the ammo.
There aren't many rounds, and I don't have a way to craft more yet. Once Red Queen cracks the bullet tech, we can move on to full production.
[Naruto Renji] : So that means Biohazard 4 is still a few years out on your side?
[Resident Evil Renji] : More or less. Though maybe not. This world's already messed up. It might come early. Either way, I need to focus on research for now.
Just got the T-virus, Raijin, and still need to study William's G-virus. I need to lay low for a while.
[Naruto Renji] : Lucky. I just finished dealing with Uchiha vs. Konoha, then the Mist incident. Thought I'd get a break, but no—now I'm staring down a war.
Stone, Cloud, and Sand are joining forces to strike while Konoha's weak from internal strife.
This war is unavoidable. And I refuse to compromise.
Before I took office, I said I'd make Konoha great again. I won't be like Sarutobi Hiruzen—always giving in.
That was my promise when I became the Fifth Hokage.
If I give in now, I'm slapping myself in the face. Besides, this is the perfect chance to earn some reward events.
My strength right now is overwhelming. There's no one in the ninja world who can beat me easily—except maybe Uchiha Madara.
As for the Sage of Six Paths?
That old schemer's been hiding somewhere in the ninja world, secretly watching everything. I've got a hunch he's already noticed me.
He always claims he's worried about his mother's seal breaking, monitoring every move from the shadows. I wouldn't be surprised if he's watching me now.
Honestly, he's more about maintaining his version of peace. He thinks he's protecting the ninja world, and that his sons, Indra and Asura, were meant to uphold that peace.
It's got me thinking.
If Indra and Asura can reincarnate, why can't Hagoromo or Hamura? But neither of them seem to have done so.
Hagoromo chose to stay in the ninja world and observe, while Hamura lives on the moon. It sounds odd, but somehow it makes sense.
"Hey! You brat—what is this nonsense? I just got back and you're already planning another war? Are you seriously trying to start the Fourth Great Ninja War?!"
Tsunade glared at Renji, annoyed.
When she returned, he had told her life would be easy—just do some scheduled lessons, relax, and enjoy peace.
But now? The Fourth Ninja War was practically knocking on the door.
"Relax. It hasn't started yet."
Renji came back to himself and looked up at Tsunade, then calmly began sorting the files on his desk.
Some of them contained orders from the Fire Daimyō, demanding he negotiate with the other villages. There were even messages saying the Uchiha weren't suited to be Hokage and should step down.
A cold smirk flickered in Renji's eyes.
The Fire Daimyō was really pushing his luck—acting like he still had control here.
"Hokage-sama, the envoys from Suna, Kiri, Kumo, and Iwa have all arrived."
Shikaku opened the door and glanced at Renji, looking exhausted. Serving as the Hokage's aide had taught him one thing—working for an Uchiha is pure suffering.
Especially this Uchiha.
The village was still uneasy. After Renji had killed Sarutobi Hiruzen and his allies, everything was unstable.
Recovery was slow, but Renji had publicly exposed the crimes committed by Sarutobi, Shimura Danzō, and their inner circle—complete with evidence.
That alone gave the Uchiha legitimacy.
It was like when Sarutobi had been appointed by Tobirama. He had to work for years to fully consolidate power.
Now, with Renji's unmatched strength and political reforms, the village finally had hope again.
People were ready to follow him.
But now, just as things were looking up, war was on the horizon.
The other villages were demanding compensation—or else they'd attack.
It was blatant blackmail.
"Oh? Those guys? Bring them in."
Renji nodded. If they came, he'd settle things clearly.
"What about the Hyūga clan head?"
"Bring them too."
Shikaku nodded and left. Tsunade, still in the room, looked stunned.
"Hey... you're not really planning to go to war, right?"
Could Konoha truly handle a war against four villages?
The previous wars had been one-vs-one or two-vs-two—never all four at once.
And in Tsunade's opinion, Konoha wasn't what it used to be.
In their time, they had the White Fang, the Sannin, Namikaze Minato, and other elite ninjas. The village had been full of strength. Even Hiruzen had been in his prime.
Now?
The Sannin were broken. Orochimaru was gone, Jiraiya might return, she had her hemophobia, and both Minato and the White Fang were dead—many elite shinobi were gone.
The current Konoha wasn't even close to its former peak.
But Renji clearly wasn't planning to back down.
The Uchiha really were battle maniacs!
Tsunade felt she had to talk him down. This wasn't the time for reckless fighting—they should recover first.
But when she opened her mouth, she found herself unable to say a word.
"Konoha was founded by the Senju... and also by the Uchiha. I won't let it fall on my watch."
Renji glanced at Tsunade, then closed his eyes and waited in silence.
A few minutes later...
"Cough, cough. Everyone's arrived."
Shikaku stepped in. The once-empty Hokage office was now filled.
Envoys from the four major villages, Konoha's elite shinobi, and all the major clan heads were present.
"Since everyone's here—why don't you state your purpose for coming?"
Renji lifted his head and glanced at the envoys from the four great ninja villages.
The ones from Wind, Stone, and Cloud were all unfamiliar to him, but the envoy from Mist was someone of considerable rank—Master Gen.
It was clear that Terumī Mei was paying close attention to the current events.
Since Mist and Konoha had recently established diplomatic ties, they were still in a honeymoon phase. Mist had been importing high-quality goods at low prices from Konoha, and their recovery had been swift. Mei didn't want to see Konoha plunged into war again.
Of course, Gen also carried a secondary mission: if Konoha opted for negotiation, he would step in to pressure the others by signaling Mist's preference for peace. He'd make it clear that Mist would side with Konoha if war broke out.
But if actual fighting began, Mist wasn't in a position to engage—they'd be signing their own death warrant.
"Our terms are simple. Konoha gives us some money and a few secret techniques. In return, we won't go to war."
"We of Iwagakure ask for the same."
"We of Sunagakure want money and essential supplies—we don't need secret techniques."
The three villages had already coordinated their demands beforehand. Kumogakure was even prepared: if Konoha gave in, they planned to do what they did last time—try to steal Konoha's kekkei genkai.
With so many kekkei genkai clans in Konoha, of course they were tempted.
"Anything else?" Renji asked calmly as he turned to face them.
That tone made several of the envoys sneer internally.
So much for being aggressive—seems the Uchiha are soft after all.
But as soon as he finished speaking, Hyūga Hiashi's eyes widened in disbelief.
Was he going to surrender?
If so, what was the point of killing Sarutobi Hiruzen and installing Renji as Hokage?
In that moment, Hiashi felt a flicker of anger.
If Renji surrendered, he would be the first to object.
His brother had died at the hands of the Cloud. Last time, it was due to compromise—so who would die this time?
"Nothing else for now. But since Hokage-sama seems so willing, we'd rather not start a war."
The Cloud envoy smirked, pleased by how easy this seemed.
"This can't be it. Isn't this supposed to be a negotiation?"
Gen was taken aback. He had prepared his entrance for when tensions rose—to express Mist's stance for peace. But Renji was already surrendering? Wasn't that too fast?
Even Hiruzen hadn't caved this quickly.
"You done talking?"
"Yes, for now."
At this point, the other two envoys had begun to look down on Renji.
"Then go back and tell your Kage—this war wasn't started by you.
It's being started by me, Uchiha Renji.
Konoha is declaring the Fourth Great Ninja War!"
Compromise?
Renji never had any intention of compromise.
He just wanted to see how outrageous their demands would be.
But sadly, that was it.
Too tame.
No fun.
"Hokage, are you saying you want to go to war with Kumogakure?"
"Damn right. I do want to go to war with you."
The Cloud envoy's face darkened.
"Think carefully. Iwagakure will join the battle too."
"Sunagakure won't sit by and do nothing either."
With their support, the Cloud envoy looked a little more confident.
"Then bring it on."
"What do you mean by that?"
He couldn't be serious.
Was this really happening?
This was three villages teaming up. He couldn't really be declaring war, could he?
Renji stood up, eyes scanning the envoys.
"My meaning is simple: every last one of you here is trash.
Come at me whenever you like."
As the words left his mouth, Hyūga Hiashi rose to his feet.
Then, one by one, the Konoha shinobi all stood, glaring at the envoys.
Gen swallowed hard. The pressure from so many Konoha ninja was real.
He found himself standing up too—not to show loyalty, but just to not be counted among "the trash." If he was standing, maybe he wasn't included.
Hiashi, meanwhile, felt something close to joy.
Finally, they weren't backing down.
If it's war they want, then so be it.
Konoha would not be cowed.
They had just survived major upheaval—they weren't going to let others walk all over them now.
"This guy… how is his leadership this strong?"
Tsunade's eyes flashed with shock.
Was he really doing this? He'd just become Hokage.
"Go back and tell those three villages—
The Fourth Great Ninja War has begun!!"
Renji's voice was cold, and it sent a chill through the hearts of every envoy.
Madman.
The Uchiha really were all madmen.
They thought they were dealing with Sarutobi 2.0…
Turns out they got Uchiha Madara 2.0 instead.
