Chapter 5: Fighting a Beast at Cove Forest
While Dex rides a taxi to the border of Z-City, they across a checkpoint which to be expected are heavily guarded by the military personnel.
"Hello sir, ID please?" one of the military personnel said to the uncle who are driving the taxi while the other check the vehicle.
"Oh yes, here is my ID" Mart said while smiling to the military personnel.

Dex known this uncle who drove the taxi with him, that makes him make a sum up fare.
A moment ago, after he go out on the apartment complex, he waited some taxi but after he says the destination that he wants to go, they just drove off with a pale face. Then another taxi came and it was Uncle Mart.
"Young man it's just way too far and your destination is quite dangerous. So, I advise you not to go there for your safety." Uncle Mart was concern with Dex who want to go that place.
"I will pay you double for the fare plus a bonus if you encounter some checkpoint." Dex said to uncle Mart while negotiating the fare and Dex also know that there was always a checkpoint in every novel that he read with this kind of scenario. So, reading a novel is a quite helpful then hahahaha.
"Hmm I'm quite tempted, Hehehe will let's go hop in the car but I say this to you that you are on your own within that place, I will only drove you 20 meters between the entrance of the forest and you walk for it." Uncle Mart said to Dex smiling but, in a moment, he says the place it is in serious tone.
Then, the taxi drove to the destination. While on the way, Dex was also curious with the Cove Forest. So, he asked some question.
"Uncle I got a question?" Dex said to Uncle Mart.
"Shoot it" Uncle said while driving.
"What level of danger that forest has? Dex said to Uncle Mart to get an information from him. Since this system is quite irritated of me, I gotta ask this uncle.
"Well, you know young man its best to be young and why do you have to go there, that place is a nightmare and dangerous. I might say that place have so many variables. There are so many ferocious beasts, and it includes the level area within." Uncle said to Dex in a serious tone and fear to his face.

"Thank you, uncle, for the reminder, hmmm (so my mission actually is quite dangerous, does the notice of the system says extreme caution). Is there other variable that I need to pay attention other than the beast?" Dex said while being serious now and he was thinking if a plausible mission will direct to a danger level.
"Hmmm, there are other variables that you need to pay attention. One is the human, there are some mercenaries, bandit, and other part of the organization its either the evil or sacred on the surface and the other variables are the spirit entities and apparition that will hunt you down." Uncle said to Dex with a solemn face.
From the uncle said right now, this mission is totally dangerous but I know that behind this danger there was also a reward. Why should I be afraid on this if I even died once, considering that these variables are only the stepping stone from my desire. This is not a gamble but an assurance for my growth. Dex was burning with passion.
"Thank you uncle for this information and by the way where did you get that some information?" Dex said to uncle who are driving.
"I only know that information because I was part of the club and by the way anyone can get that information but if you want some more information you go to the House of Secret Tower. You can either purchase, sell or exchange information on them and also some says that this tower might be a branch only in this city from a hidden organization." Uncle said to Dex with a proud face.
"House of Secret Tower, Hmm I might visit that someday. Uncle you have so many information that you give me then I will give you another fare for that." Dex said to Uncle while smiling and satisfied.
"Ahhhemm it's not much actually, I just give you some advice and it is your bravery that lead me to share some information that I got hehehe. Well, young man if you ever get out on that forest then live on and also, I think you are just a high schooler. Hayyyssss this world is totally unfair even a high schooler needs to go such a dangerous place." Uncle said to Dex with emotions and sadness.
"Yeah, uncle after I get out on that place I will invite you to a drink. Cool for you?" Dex said while smiling.
"Hahaha tssk tssk okay young man I got your word. If you want to find me, just go to this place." Uncle said to Dex while handed out a card of himself from his club.
They chat sometimes and make a good impression of Dex to this uncle. "Oh yeah, another advice for you lad, don't trust anyone or including me when you want to make a good standing in this society. It's too cruel." Uncle said to Dex in seriousness.
"Okay uncle I will mind that" Dex smiled to him.
At the checkpoint, the military personnel make some series question and after that, the military personnel give them a pass check then give them a way.
"You can go now and be safe" the security personnel said.
"Thank you, sir, have a good night" uncle said to the military personnel and drove the car to the destination.
Thirty minutes later, the taxi came at the entrance of the forest. After Dex get out from the taxi, he can even hear some beast growl.
"Lad this is only the distance of my car to stop, you can walk then to go there. Well, I will say to you a good luck and don't die early hahaha. Okay I gotta go now lad bye" Uncle said to Dex while laughing.
"Yeah, thanks uncle for bringing me here. Bye" Dex said to him while the taxi drove off.
Then Dex walk to the entrance of the forest. "Hmmm actually uncle this lad will make this forest my playground in the future and I'm confident on it."
Notice: Player arrived at his destination and it suggest some extreme caution due to lack of your power level. Goodluck!!!
"Hmmm a notice again, well I'm prepared you know" Dex then proceeds to the entrance of the forest.
While Dex entering in the outer area of the forest, he used the God Eye Mark which he can see several beasts with different power level.

Dex seen so many beasts but the beast on the mission can't be seen. "Maybe I could walk more or it must be on the inner area? No no, it must be at the border of the outer and inner area since that beast has a king. I could also test my strength now on this low-level beast and make a commotion that well make the crawler saber wolf go on my direction."
Dex gets the brick on his inventory; other than this equipment he has nothing to support. "Well brick then, be good to me".
"This is my first time fighting and my second chance to live a care-free future. I need to take this rabbit first and make another prey." Dex then moves to take down the camper rabbit.
When the camper rabbit hears a noise at coming from the bush at the right and seen Dex walk toward its position, it even not afraid of him approaching. The rabbit even run toward Dex to fight and make some shiiierrkk sound and open his mouth that actually can swallow a chicken. The feature of the camper rabbit mouth was so eerie that its teeth is like a sharp knife. Dex was not expecting that drastically with that changes but he fights head on and swing the brick toward the head of the camper rabbit. It was like a melon that explode easily and the parts of the head of the camper rabbit was scattered everywhere. Dex saw the parts of the head that explode everywhere and vomited on the spot. "Bllleeaauurrggghhhh….bbllleeeeuuurrggghhh"
"Fool, you are just too weak, can't handle with just that. In the future you will see so many of this and it's not only a beast but it include your species. tsssk" The system blurted out and make a remark.
"System can you see I'm vomiting then you take a shot on me, did you not even love me now?" Dex was having a pain right now with the remarks of the system.
"Hmmpph, you are just too weak. So, after you complete with this mission and in one month I well give you a mission particularly to this forest to get used of the awaiting future you have. Then, you will not make that embarrassing scene." The system said to Dex with a serious tone.
"Okay okay, Fuck this. Come on be a man, this is just a beginning." Dex then proceeds to the next target that he has to kill which is also the camper rabbit and it was also the same of scene that happen earlier. This time, Dex was on killing spree of the camper rabbit that make his body full of blood. Dex gets clothes from his inventory and change it and proceed again for a killing but this time it was rowler deer beast.
"Grrraraarrrraawwwrrr" the rowler dear howl also to the approaching human.
"Hmmm this was actually the same with that rabbit tsskk tsssk this world is an evolve one compare the other earth. Well, you are the second beast that I will take down on this lifetime." Dex was surprise of the beast on this world. He then swings the brick to the head of the rowler deer and exploded. Then Dex goes along look for the other beast and it was also the same scenario; it was either the head exploded or the body exploded which is scattered everywhere. It was too horrifying to watch.
"This brick is quite good and sturdy, I didn't study this one but it was quite a better weapon. Next time on my hunting should I try to throw this brick. Hmm I should try it" Dex then proceeds for another killing spree and he didn't know that his commotion actually invited now the beast that mission prepared for him to take down.
After Dex was done with his killing spree, he proceeds to rest at the bottom of the tree and he remembered about his player interface.

"Wooahh, I'm level 8 now and its two levels behind to get that class and other attributes to open, Hehehe and even my attributes improve by two points and with also a remaining point. Hmmm a random beast will give a point also this is interesting Hahaha." Dex was excited of his level up.
When Dex was elated of the level up, he saw at the bottom of the interface. "Wait wait oh that soul coin hahaha then I could upgrade my level now by purchasing that limited pack with a comprehension talent tsssk such my baby system."

"Hmm yeah I should try to upgrade my level first before moving forward." Dex then used the soul coin to purchase the limited pack which cost him of 10 SC. After his purchase, there was a sudden influx of knowledge pour onto Dex brain and had slight headache. He then meditates and makes some adjustment.
A few minutes later, Dex open his eyes and it actually makes even brighter. "This comprehension talent is just too good, later I will try to understand this talent of mine and I should use the medium pills then but it is safe here? Nah, maybe I go above that tree."
Dex climbs on the tree and observed the surroundings if ever there was a sudden beast who plunge on him while meditating. He swallows the pills one by one and few seconds later, a sudden burst of power surge on the body of Dex that make himself on unbearable pain. "Arrrgggghhh… Aaarrrrggggghhhhh…" it was continued for thirty minutes and it subside then.
The body of Dex right now has drastically change, it was smoother, more fit, even his height increase and his face itself improved more. Dex opens his eyes and observe his body. "Hahahaha, what an improvement, that pill is totally too good. Hmmm what is that smell, it was the same that I smell before. It stinks." He observed the surroundings from left to right and seen a black fluid dripping to the bottom of the tree from he sat on. "Fuck I should change my clothes."
After Dex changes his clothes, he goes down from the tree and feel the changes on his body. He then summons the interface.

I will then distribute the remaining points and keep 5 points if I ever on a dangerous situation it will be a game changer. It must be +1 agility, +1 dexterity, +1 perception, +1 charisma and +2 luck. Okay done with my attributes, I should then get my class now but since this is random and choosing a card is through luck I guess." Dex was so excited with the changes on his power right now and the new unlock features.
Dex opens the section for class feature and see so many cards floating. It was categorized into two sides: one is the main class and second one is the hidden class.
"Player since this is new to you, I will explain the feature of class. This class having two sides; the main class and the hidden class, so right now it was open and since this is free, I will reshuffle it combines with two side classes. Whether you got the main class or the hidden class depend on your luck and say "stop" if you want the reshuffle to stop and make your choices" the system said to Dex and began to reshuffle the cards.
"Stop" Dex said and the reshuffle of the card ended and the cards align its other.
"Player you can choose now and make your choices" the system said.
Dex was contemplating if he should add the remaining points to the luck, but it was his ace in a dangerous situation. "Hoooo, come on, okay I choose this one" he sees the card glittering and it go at the front while the other card disappears. Then a card flips around and Dex was too shock of the card he picks.
"Notice: Congratulations! Player randomly chooses a card a hidden card class "Gambit Class". What a luck!!!"
"Fuck, Gambit Class how could it be a hidden class, I thought there was necromancer class. How should I use that?" Dex was having a breakdown right now since the necromancer class was always the favorite pick on the novel that he read and it was too overpowered.
"Fool you idiot, it was your luck that matter and read the description of the class you shithead" the system was fouling remark on Dex of being an idiot.
"Oh, system I thought you were gone Hahaha." Dex was actually teasing the system of not saying a foul word on him and it was always a serious remark.
"Go go, you idiot Hmmmpph" the system replied
"Hahaha yeah yeah, I gonna read that and system I assure you that this class is awesome." Dex assured to system that this class is not bad.
"Actually, you can have as many classes you have but choosing another card class is you need to buy it and your current class must be fully max of its feature before purchasing." The system said to Dex in proud manners.
"Whaaattttt? I could have more classes; this is too good yeahh hahaha. I love you System" Dex was shock by the system said to him.

Then Dex began walking again for his mission while he sees the interface and being alert to his surrounding since it was night time

"Dang hidden classes are just too strong; it comes also with its particular skills. I will try these skills to the beast here." Dex was so elated of his class.
While Dex walk around hoping to encounter a beast now, the system notice him.
"Notice: The mission beast was in your perimeter and the Player suggest for an extreme caution, be prepared for a sudden ambush."
"Hmmm, they are here now. Let see where are they" Dex uses God Eye Mark and he look around to his surroundings. "There they are lurking at the bushes tsk tsk, does this beast actually has an intelligence? They are are just low-level beast or maybe…." Dex then smiled and ran toward the area which the crawler saber wolf lurking.
"Since you are my first mission, you are also my first subject of my new skill hahahaha" Dex uses a first skill of the Gambit, which the card appears on his hand with a burning flame on it and throw it to the crawler saber wolf. An explosion occurs, and one of the beasts exploded and the other one was injured.

Then Dex ran toward to the explosion area and see the injured one who make a howl noise which indicates of calling the others "Awwwwoooooooooooooo, Aawwwoooooooo" as the wolf howl Dex then brings out his brick at throw it to the wolf and it exploded scattering the remains of the wolf.
A moment later, more than 20 crawler saber wolf and one of it was the crawler saber wolf king came at Dex and make an encircle to him.

When the beast king saw that the human was smirking at him, it then growls "Grrrrrrrr, Awooooo" then his underling moves to Dex one another and open their mouth to bite of him.
"Fuck, this beast on this world, totally evolve one. There mouth is eerie and fucking disgusting." Dex then used the Gambit skill and makes two wolfs explode and use his hand to see if his strength is comparable to there king. It was actually one sided, it either the crawler saber wolf explodes or the wolf was split in half that its body fluids and organs was scattered everywhere. When the wolf king saw the killing, it ran also to Dex by using his skills and make a bite stunts but Dex dodge it when he sees that coming and fall back 5 meters face to face to each other.

Dex was so happy with this kind discovery of his comprehension talent and he move to the beast king while the beast king also move to head on the clash with each other. Dex just dodges the beast king while learning the skills of the beast king and after few moves of clashing, he moves like what the beast used a moment ago but with a smoother flow compared to the owner of the skill and slap the beast king with a brick on the head but it didn't explode it just the eyes, and the organs on the head of the beast king pull out of the head and it was too brutal to watch. A one-sided battle, I guess.

While Dex was walking back to the entrance of the cove forest, It was luck that there was actually a car stop at the entrance of the forest and get out of the car and the get something like a human died covered with plastic throw it at the side of the entrance. Dex saw this, and he ran onto to the two individual who are preparing to hop in the car.
"Hey, senior wait up. Can I ride with you, I don't have a car here and I will give you a fare for it." Dex said to the two-gentleman smiling.
The two-gentleman glance at each other and make a move toward Dex using the knife but unexpectedly when the knife was near on Dex neck, he catches it with his two finger and used the skill Lightning Step to move and take knife from the killer and forcefully cut his two shoulders while Dex makes a horizontal line cut at his neck. The head roll down on the floor and a spurt of blood coming from the body shoulder and the neck, it was like a fountain. While the other gentleman was horrified at what he seen, and he frantically ran with a pale face but Dex reach at him in split seconds then make a same scenario of the first guy.
"Haaaahhhh why should you try to attack me, when you don't know my power yet tsk tsk. These two fucking money grabber mercenaries. Well yeah, Thanks for the car and also your bodies are helping to makes this area a fertile one." Dex said while he get in the car and drove away to go back on his apartment.
