Staring at her flushed cheeks, Qiao Zhi's heartbeat quickened uncontrollably. The woman before her, once the embodiment of reserved elegance, was now cloaked in an intoxicating allure. Her long, inky-black hair was tousled, cascading over her shoulders like silk brushed by moonlight. Her porcelain skin gleamed faintly under the dim light, smooth and fair like freshly fallen snow, with a faint pink hue dusting her collarbones and the tip of her nose.

Her slightly parted lips, soft and rosy, were damp from nervous licking, drawing the eye like ripe cherries in the snow. Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, framing almond-shaped eyes now hazy with desire, like mist-shrouded pools reflecting starlight. The faint sheen of sweat on her temples only added to the fragile temptation she exuded—like a bloom on the verge of wilting, trembling under one's breath.

She looked so soft, so dainty, as if a single touch would bruise her, yet her stubbornness remained etched in her brows.

Qiao Zhi glanced away, her throat dry, a trace of helplessness flitting across her expression. She supported herself with one hand, but couldn't resist—her fingers instinctively reached out to comb through that chaotic waterfall of hair. Her fingertips trembled slightly as they brushed the strands away, her voice low and rough like cracked jade.

The moment these words came out, Qiao Zhi suddenly felt a tingling sensation spread throughout her whole body before the cute voice of the little companion sounded in her mind again,

"It seems your master forgot to update your settings."

Qiao Zhi was still amused by the electric shock that little companion sent to her body and it seems that the predetermined story of this world was more interesting than she had thought at first.

Qiao Zhi was repeatedly amused by the little companion and didn't bother to do anything for the moment but just then Qiao Zhi suddenly felt something wrong with her body!

Just then, Gu'er or Xing Huanming, whose eyes were dazed due to the aphrodisiac drug that the scum Ah Xin had put into her drink to execute this one-night stand suddenly had her eyes wide open!

Qiao Zhi was also shocked but before she could do anything, Xing Huanmeng suddenly pushed her away violently, but her body was weak, and she could not push her at all.

"Ah Zhi.. "

Qiao Zhi felt as if her heart was healing just by hearing this very familiar name as her eyes turned red at a speed visible to the naked eyes and she couldn't help but shed a few drops of tears and her broken voice escaped her mouth,

"Umm.. I'm here."

"Ah Zhi.. Ah Zhi…Ah Zhi…" Qiao Zhi heard her name being called three times by the person in her arms and each time, it was more emotional than the other and each time, she responded with a soft hum of her own,

Finally, Qiao Zhi heard her Gu'er saying in her arms,

"I missed you so much, Ah Zhi…"

Qiao Zhi almost couldn't stop herself from crying but the next second, Gu'er in her arms came out of her arms and cupped her face in her hands before saying in a half serious and half joking tone,

"Listen, Ah Zhi, I really love you and I really miss you, but this soul of mine is the most delicate one out of all the other soul pieces. And it's still unstable as the awakening process was done prematurely. I will not be able to remember you for long but don't worry, I will still know that you are not the scum Ah Xin and my love for you will remain the same. And remember, my personality of this soul is a bit stubborn, and I will definitely pester you to get me pregnant. I know that we can't get pregnant without our real bodies, so just bear with me until the plot line of this world is completed. By then, my soul will have stabilized, and I will also remember everything completely, Okay?"

Qiao Zhi was stunned by the amount of information, but she listened to everything with utmost seriousness and continued holding Gu'er in her arms.
