Hiroto Aizawa is an ordinary high schooler living with his single mother in Tokyo. She's kind, hardworking, and always smiling—even as she juggles long night shifts to support his private school education.
But when three bullies confront him with a disturbing secret about his mother, Haruki’s perfect world begins to crack.
Is she really who she says she is?
What begins as suspicion soon leads Haruki down a path of painful truths, unspoken sacrifices, and a love that runs deeper than blood.
In the neon-lit alleys of Tokyo… some truths are too heavy to carry alone.
Good short story, but it felt kinda rushed. Honestly, it could’ve been easily stretched out into 7–8 chapters instead of just three. Still, solid effort overall. I’d give it a ⭐ 3/5.
