Earlier In the Moon Shine Pack.......
Alpha River took off, running towards his packhouse to find his sister. He had to know if she did it. As he ran to the treeline before the packhouse, he mindlinked her. "Where are you?"
"In your office straightening up. I thought I would be nice and help you clean up for a while. You always keep your office so MESSY. Our parents would have a fit if they saw their old office looking like this pigsty. They used to keep it so nice and neat. How do you even find stuff in here?" Amanda answered, sounding frustrated and annoyed.
He quickly ended the mindlink. He rushed into his office to find his sister going through the files on his desk.
"What are you doing?" Alpha River demanded.
"Helping like I said. These are your incomplete files. I figured I might be able to help with the little stuff. Chef Camille is on her way to drop off her menu and the pantry re-stock list. So that takes care of the kitchen part that was in your stack. See I can be helpful. I can act right. I know I have been a handful lately. I promise if you give me one more chance, you won't regret it." pleaded Amanda, giving her brother the puppy dog sad eyes, but he only ignored her.
"The matter is closed. I need to help you restore respect, pride and honor back to your name. No respectable Alpha or Beta would take you right now as a chosen or a fate mate." asserted Alpha River still fuming about the sex tapes.
"You are blowing things way out of proportion. My fate mate would not dare reject me due to my beauty, my intelligence and my family wealth. Secondly, any chosen mate would be pleased to have a strong connection to you and our pack in me." declared Amanda to her brother smugly, as if she knew better than him.
"You can't rely on me to save the day or fix all your problems. There are plenty of bigger, stronger, wealthier packs. A lot more she-wolves prettier and smarter than you with fewer bodies." conveyed Alpha River, sounding defeated because no matter what he said or did his little sister refused to see the bigger picture.
"Whatever. So what happened that caused everyone to run out of here like a bat out of hell earlier?" demanded Amanda purposefully, changing the subject.
"If you must know Miriam and Alpha Kevin, his brother Walker, along with their friends, were on the way here but got attacked by rogues. Everyone is fine. But, for now, Miriam will be staying with Alpha Kevin in his pack. At least until we can figure out the reason for the attack." He informed his sister, closely watching her for any reaction.
"No! No! That means they are going to get closer, and I won't be able to spend time with him to win him over before I go. Dammit! I hated her and her bitch of an older sister. I don't have a reason to go to his pack, but I was going to use the opportunity to bump into him repeatedly here every time he came to visit the Nerd. I don't understand why he wants a nerd anyway. I don't know why you allowed her to mistreat me." shouted Amanda, jumping up and pacing back and forth in Alpha's office.
"You can't barge into someone's home uninvited and then demand to be treated like a guest. It doesn't work like that, Amanda. I don't know how many times I have to explain to you that the world doesn't revolve around you. Furthermore, leave Miriam and Alpha Kevin alone. Alpha Kevin is half-vampire and vampires don't take threats to their soulmates kindly." proclaimed Alpha River in a stern voice.
"Whatever. I am on this file for Little Miss Goodie Too Shoes. You have everything to update her pack file except a picture of her wolf and her wolf's name. Do you have that information so we can put her file away?" asked Amanda, picking up the file and walking towards my desk.
"Yes! One second and I will send her picture to my computer's hard drive. So I can download and print it out. I will mind link Beta Landon, Beta Tamar and Miriam before she leaves for her wolf name real quick." said Alpha River, pulling out his cell phone and logging into his computer.
"Okay." Amanda replied, calmly standing at his desk going through her file. Alpha River quickly mindlinked Beta Landon, Beta Tamar and Miriam. "Hey! I am in the office now finishing up paperwork. What exactly is Tamar's wolf name? I just realized I don't even know it, myself."
"No problem! It's Amona Reinas." replied Tamar, looking at her mate and daring him to challenge her reply.
"As in the Black Queen, Amona Reinas the Warrior Queen of Kush?" asked Alpha River taken a back.
"One and the same. I thought it was fitting and bold, just like my sister." remarked Tamar with a chuckle.
"Did you pick that name or did she?" demanded Alpha River to Miriam. Miriam had to hold in her laughter as her sister made an annoyed face.
"We both did. Why?" asked Miriam in a curious tone.
"Well, I would like you to consider another name. Maybe, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Millicent or Aspen." suggested Alpha River in a firm voice.
"I don't like those names. My top five names were Nefertiti, Amina, Fatima, Yaa Asantewaa, and Makeda. My wolf liked Amona Reinas better, therefore I am not changing it." responded Miriam, sounding irritated by his request.
"Fine! It's your name, but it is a lot." confessed Alpha River, not happy at all.
"That's fine! I don't care if other people like it as long as I love it." declared Miriam with a chuckle.
"Fine! Be safe. Don't hesitate to call if you run into any problems over in the Misty Mountain pack. However, I don't believe you will." stated Alpha River, ending the mindlink.
"Thanks!"
"Thanks!"
"Thanks!"
"Here is the picture and put down in the file that her wolf's name is Amona Reinas. Do you want me to spell it for you?" asked Alpha River.
"Hell, yes!" shouted Amanda, looking at her brother in disbelief that someone would name their wolf a crazy name like that.
"Amona Reinas! A as in apple. M as in Mary had a little lamb. O as in Onion. N as in Notebook. A as in Apricot. Amona Reinas. Reinas is R as in Rainman. E as in Elephant. I as in Ice. N as in numbers. A as in ant. S as in Snake. Amona Reinas . Would you like me to spell it again?" probed Alpha River, trying to remain cool. The day had been a long, stressful day, and it wasn't over yet.
"Absolutely not. I have it." replied Amanda, quickly writing the name down and walking over to the file cabinet and placing it inside and closing it back as Chef Camille quickly walked in and out, dropping off her paperwork.
Amanda took that opportunity as well to grab her handbag and pull out her phone and quickly text a contact. Then she put her phone back inside her bag.
"Hey! I have to go! I need to finish packing unless you have changed your mind." stated Amanda as the rogue's phone went off, playing the opening of "Whoop that Trick" by Terrence Howard.
"Stop!" he ordered, pulling out the phone and reading the name.
"What have you done? You had better start talking before I decide to let them kill you for your stupidity."
