Chapter 3: Master, Will You Share My Bed Tonight?

Just when Solon thought he'd have to reset and start a third run, the simulation unexpectedly continued.

[Perhaps due to your background, Jingliu didn't take action against you. She simply grew distant.]

Solon exhaled in relief.

So that gold-tier "Noble Lineage" really was paying off.

No wonder it was just a beginner reward—no way the system would let you keep that for free. With that Trait, nearly every scenario's difficulty dropped dramatically.

The simulation continued.

[You let out a quiet sigh, burying your desires deep within your heart. But like poison, that darkness would eventually blossom into a vivid flower of evil…]

[Perhaps it was out of habit, or perhaps for other reasons—but before long, Jingliu took in a second disciple: a snot-nosed kid named Jing Yuan.]

[From the very first time you saw him, you couldn't stand him. Your master, who used to be yours alone, now had to be shared.]

[Worse still, Jingliu—trying to avoid you—began investing more of her attention into teaching Jing Yuan. Her distance from you only grew.]

[Jealousy and possessiveness twisted your heart.]

[While Jingliu was out on campaign, you frequently used the excuse of "assessments" and "guidance" to discipline Jing Yuan. You never went too far, only enough to cause pain but not lasting injury.]

[Jing Yuan endured it all without telling Jingliu.]

[Jingliu noticed what you were doing, but for one, your methods were measured, and two, she believed in harsh training. Incredibly, she tacitly allowed it.]

Solon stared at the screen, stunned.

He was getting jealous of a literal child? And that child was Jing Yuan, future General of the Luofu and one of the Cloud Knights' Five Heroes?

Yeah, this simulator was definitely living up to its name—Villain Simulator.

[Time passed. In the blink of an eye, fifty years had gone by.]

[With your family's support, you not only entered the Ten Kings Commission early but eventually became the head of the "Apprehension" division—one of the four major branches: Apprehension, Custody, Execution, and Interrogation.]

Each division's name reflected its duties:

Apprehension hunted down high-profile criminals and mara-struck individuals.

Custody guarded the Penacony Prison, serving as wardens.

Execution dealt out punishments to convicts.

Interrogation wielded the Pen of Karmic Retribution to read and judge sin, while also overseeing torture.

On paper, all four divisions were equal. In reality, Apprehension was the most powerful, with authority to arrest even Xianzhou generals.

Solon had reached the top of the most dominant branch at a young age—he was rising fast.

After taking a moment to reflect, he turned his attention back to the simulation.

[By now, Jingliu had become the Sword Champion of the Luofu, the undefeated icon of the Cloud Knights.]

[The Artisanship Commission's "Hundred Forge" presented her a custom blade. She sparred with the Long of the Vidyadhara, and drank with the nameless travelers of the starry sea. Her circle of friends steadily grew.]

[Together with the tactical genius Jing Yuan, the five of them—each known for unparalleled skill—made a name for themselves. The title "Cloud Knights' Five Heroes" echoed across the Luofu and even the entire Alliance.]

[But unbeknownst to Jingliu, among the five, her disciple—Jing Yuan—was the weakest.]

[His burden came not only from his four extraordinary peers, but from you, his senior brother.]

[In rank, you were the head of Apprehension in the Ten Kings Commission—your position outranked even the Six Charioteers. Only the General of the Luofu stood above you.]

[Jing Yuan, in contrast, was just a lowly lieutenant.]

[In swordsmanship, you were evenly matched. Neither of you were prodigies, but your diligence and the "Accumulated Experience" Trait let you stay ahead.]

[Jing Yuan dreamed of surpassing you—just once—to earn Jingliu's true recognition.]

Solon had grown numb at this point.

Wow. So Jing Yuan couldn't even get it together and he was to blame now? Really?

But the simulator didn't care what he thought.

[Desperate to catch up, Jing Yuan became reckless. On a mission, he charged ahead for glory—and fell into a trap laid by Abundance Aberrants. His squad suffered heavy losses.]

[In the military, officers who recklessly endanger their troops face severe punishment. While not a capital offense, the crime is still grave. At best, career ruined; at worst, death.]

[This was an internal matter of the Cloud Knights. Not even Dan Feng or the Hundred Forge could intervene.]

[Jingliu, proud and distant by nature, had few close allies in the military outside the Five Heroes.]

[With no options left, she turned to you—her estranged first disciple—and asked for help.]

Reading this, Solon perked up.

He had a hunch the simulator was about to throw him a wicked curveball.

And sure enough…

Two options appeared:

[Faced with Jingliu's request, your choice is—]

[1. Jing Yuan is my beloved brother. Of course I'll speak on his behalf!]

[2. Master… you wouldn't want Jing Yuan to suffer a heavy sentence, would you?]

Well, this was the Villain Simulator.

Solon didn't hesitate—he picked Option 2.

[You no longer conceal your desires. You gaze directly at Jingliu, eyes burning with barely contained lust.]

[You say, "You want me to speak for him? No problem… as long as Master spends the night in my bed."]

[Jingliu stares at you in disbelief, as if seeing you for the first time. Though she had sensed darkness in you before, she never imagined you'd go this far—harboring such taboo desire for your own master.]

[What's worse, you used your junior brother's life as leverage to blackmail her.]

[Furious, Jingliu strikes without hesitation.]

[She leaves you severely injured before storming off.]

[As she disappears from sight… you smile.]

[Jingliu still hesitated. She didn't go all out. Your injuries looked bad but were mostly superficial.]

[What truly made you happy was the realization—Jingliu had a weakness. She hesitated. That meant leverage. Jing Yuan just wasn't the right piece yet.]

[The thought of tasting her one day made your blood boil.]

[Despite your refusal to intercede, Jing Yuan wasn't punished harshly. The current Luofu General, Teng Xiao, saw promise in him and allowed him to redeem himself on the battlefield.]

[Gold shines no matter where it's buried. After this setback, Jing Yuan matured. His innate talents in battlefield command and strategy finally began to blossom.]
