Zhu Feiying dived straight down, feeling the deep sea wind hit her face. Since she couldn't hit him and nor could she attack straight on, she analyzed one of general Shu's weaknesses, and that is height! It takes him a while to jump from arrow to arrow, and it also consumes a lot of resources. Since she didn't know the limits of Internal Strength and how long they can last, she decided to target his stock.
As she got closer and closer to the water, she changed the posture of her body to a diving motion as she held her breath.
"Hmm?" General Shu looked at Zhu Feiying as she entered the water.
'What is she doing?' He questioned.
All Zhu Feiying felt was the coldness of the water wrapping around her skin. She looked at the boats that have now formed at circular formation and sneered.
She opened her mouth to speak, and all the water that entered her mouth seemed to turn into mist.
"Phoenix Spiral!"
Zhu Feiying began to burn with fire, and the water was no longer cold and was heating up rapidly. She then began to swim in a circular formation around the boats, creating a giant vortex in the water.
"Scatter the boats!" General Shu said, as he landed on one of them and restocked his arrows.
He felt the heat coming from the sea and also felt the rotation she was creating. He knew if she was able to pull this off with the boats in the current formation, they'd all die without a burial place.
Thinking of this, he grabbed some of his arrows and loaded them with some strange oak brown rope. He then aimed his arrows at the ten nearby boats and shot them into the hardwood. The strange thing was that the rope was constantly expanding and was warped around his bow. With one final arrow, he pulled back his bow with stupendous strength that made it seem that there was steam coming out of him, and shot straight at the beach, moving the boats that was getting pulled into the vortex to get out safely.
He let out a sigh of relief after getting them to safety, but when he looked back and saw twenty or so other boats getting pulled into the giant vortex, he felt a ping of pain in his heart.
'Damn, that girl's destruction capabilities are so strong! Where in the hell did the Eastern Heaven even find this girl? Why can't such a person be on our side?' He wailed.
He was very interested in how she was able to manipulate fire and fly with it. If he could do that he wouldn't bother learning all these complicated archery techniques to fly half assly.
As for Zhu Feiying right now? She was currently swimming over to the shore.
She felt as if pounds of lead was in her body and the fire on her body was constantly flickering like a candle.
It wasn't until she reached the beach where she could finally breathe again, and let out a sigh of relief.
Even in combat training at the academy wasn't this difficult nor crazy. She had to seek out upper year students to fight, and even then, it was heavily restricted.
Just as she let down her guard, an arrow came straight at her and pierced her right shoulder.
"What?!" A sharp cry came out of her mouth and looked at the arrow that just pierced her.
"I thought she'd move." General Shu muttered to himself, not very happy that he couldn't kill her in one shot.
Nevertheless, he pulled back another arrow and shot it at Zhu Feiying
Just as he was about to finish her off, a sword came flying down and blocked the arrow, and right after the sword, a person came swooshing in.
"Distraction is the number one killer on the battlefield." A cold voice sounded in Zhu Feiying's ears.
She looked up at the voice and saw Qin Yan's back.
She coughed a little and refuted, "I wasn't distracted, I was simply happy."
"So a happy distraction?" He mocked, but his eyes never left General Shu.
"I didn't think I'd fight you today, Qin Yan." General Shu said, his grip on his bow tightening.
"Shu Mo, out of all the general's in the Southern Sea, why are you here?" Qin Yan asked, his sword pointing at him.
"You two know each other?" Zhu Feiying asked, burning the arrow that pierced her.
"Hmm, I've been to the Southern Sea to negotiate trade goods. Shu Mo is the enshrined protector; as the Southern Sea is all islands, and Shu Mo can travel between them all faster than anyone else. We know each other because he was the one who personally greeted me."
"Why would the emperor send one of his princes to negotiate in the trade?" Zhu Feiying asked, confused.
Qin Yan didn't respond as an arrow was already heading his way, and blocked it with his sword.
"Enough talk, do you have any strength left?"
"Tch, don't care that I'm injured?" She said angrily, "I can do one more spell, and I only have roughly 25 minutes left here."
Zhu Feiying finally regained her composure and realized that the beach had been overrun and the other generals seemed to be fighting other strong opponents. She was a little shocked to see how many dead bodies were washing up from the seas, and even the smell made her a little sick.
Qin Yan raised a brow at the 25 minute part of her words. He was a little confused on how she'd get back to her world, but it seemed to be a time limit for visiting.
"I can deal with him head on, I just need you to support me from range and stop him from releasing arrows."
Zhu Feiying nodded, and had some ideas in her mind. Since he likes to play with arrows, why don't we play with fireballs?
