Chapter 40: No Amount of Medicine Will Help Anymore

Shizuka Hiratsuka was a straightforward woman who acted on her words, though it wasn't because she wanted to "see the world since it's so big."

Once she said she was leaving, she really intended to leave.

But not everyone seemed to have the luxury of leaving just because they wanted to.

"Shirahama Kenichi, are you trying to run away?"

Boris Ivanov, despite having a hulking body that didn't match his age, was incredibly fast. In a flash, he blocked Kenichi, who was trying to follow Hiratsuka and leave.

"Kenichi!"

Furinji Miu was startled and instinctively tried to intercept, but before she could, a graceful figure darted in from the side.

"Why kill the vibe like that? Let's play too!"

It was Rachel Stanley. Unlike Boris, who at least greeted them before fighting, Rachel was much ruder—she attacked immediately.

She pounced like a falcon toward Miu, arms spread wide like iron rods, aiming a sweeping blow at Miu's neck. If that landed, Miu's slender neck would likely be broken.

Miu, however, displayed her vastly superior martial instincts—something that still outshone Kenichi at this stage. Without preparation, she gracefully leapt into the air and clashed with Rachel midair. Then, twisting her waist, she counterattacked with even fiercer strikes, engaging Rachel in an intense offensive and defensive exchange.

The two girls, both masters of speed and aerial techniques, were soon tangled in a flurry of motion.

Hikigaya looked on with appreciation—because, honestly, it was a great sight.

Rachel's moves were bold and explosive—brimming with deadly force, yet exuding the beauty of raw power. Miu, on the other hand, moved like a bird in the forest—elegant and agile. In this dance of martial combat, both of their youthful, energetic bodies showcased stunning beauty, albeit in very different styles.

Especially since both girls were extremely well-built—their dynamic movements made the scene that much more eye-catching.

Meanwhile, Boris once again blocked Kenichi, who tried to go help Miu.

"Strongest disciple of Ryōzanpaku, now that no one's interfering, let's have a death match." Boris stared down his opponent, full of anticipation. His muscles bulged with murderous intent.

Of course, this scene was not something Hikigaya wanted to watch at all…

He had absolutely no interest in muscle-bound bros.

If it weren't for the fact that the little bear (Boris) was one of their own, Hikigaya would've been tempted to kick both of them aside.

They were just ruining the aesthetic. He really wished they'd scram.

As Hikigaya debated whether to actually do something about it, a waft of fragrant air drifted over to him.

It was the delinquent female teacher who had earlier offered students cigarettes—she had returned, now wearing an annoyed expression as she glared at the two pairs of students fighting right in front of her.

Well, to be more accurate, one pair was fighting, and one was just about to start…

Of course, in just a few seconds, the latter pair also started fighting.

"I swear…" Shizuka Hiratsuka looked at Hikigaya with a sour face. "I'm going back."

"You mean you want me to walk you?" Hikigaya glared back at her.

Why was she glaring at him? He wasn't the one fighting!

"Shouldn't you be obedient and come with me at times like this?"

Her face grew even more sour. She then took a deep drag—half a cigarette in one breath.

Damn, woman. If you don't care about your lungs, just say so. No need to be so roundabout.

But seriously, how could someone who smokes this much not reek of cigarettes? She actually smelled…nice?

That didn't make any scientific sense…

"Aren't these kids all your lackeys? Tell them to stop, or they're failing this term's exams."

Hiratsuka flicked away the remaining half of her cigarette, speaking with an incredibly arrogant tone.

"And you too! You'll be retaking exams with them!"

Damn it, just because you're a teacher doesn't mean I won't spank you if you push me!

"You're the teacher, aren't you? Handle your own damn problems." Hikigaya's hands itched, but he decided to resolve the situation civilly.

Of course, the main reason was that he was curious—he wanted to see what martial arts Hiratsuka practiced.

"Tch…" Hiratsuka clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction, clearly seeing through Hikigaya's thoughts. "Lucky you."

With that, she walked into the battlefield.

Her first few steps were normal.

But on the final step, she turned sideways—and suddenly appeared between Kenichi and Boris.

Hikigaya saw clearly—she actually slid into position.

She turned her body, used her front foot to block her back foot, and glided smoothly. The movement was quick but incredibly stable—not even a wobble. In a flash, she had covered several meters.

During his half-year of Yomi training, Hikigaya had fought many opponents with different martial arts styles arranged by his demon instructors. But he had never seen footwork like this.

Hiratsuka's timing wasn't perfect—it just so happened that Kenichi and Boris were attacking each other.

The first to hit her was Boris, whose grappling move, originally aimed at Kenichi's arm, now landed on her shoulder due to her sudden appearance.

But Hiratsuka simply shrugged, and Boris's hand slid off. She then clenched her fingers into a slight curve and struck his abdomen with a palm.

Without a sound, Boris flew straight into the bushes. Amazing that someone that massive could even take flight.

"Teacher!"

Kenichi panicked. He had just lifted a leg and now couldn't stop in time—he was about to kick Hiratsuka!

But it was pointless—Hiratsuka casually countered with a low kick, neutralizing Kenichi's attack. Then she hooked his leg, flipping him flat on his back. She glared down at him and snarled, "Don't get up."

Then she knocked Boris back down just as he was climbing out of the bushes and ordered him not to get up either. That worked quite well—he obeyed silently and crouched.

Without missing a beat, Hiratsuka leapt between Rachel and Miu. No fancy techniques—just a low kick and a palm strike, and both girls were floored within moments.

When they got back up and were promptly knocked down again, they finally got the message and, like Boris, stayed obediently squatting on the ground. Kenichi was the worst—he just lay there not daring to move.

Even a blind person could see that Hiratsuka was far stronger than both the Ryōzanpaku and Yomi disciples. Her martial art may not have looked flashy—perhaps even overly plain—but it was undeniably effective.

"Fighting at night—do you want your mommies and daddies to cry?"

After beating up the troublemakers, Hiratsuka lit a cigarette and looked at them with a wicked grin.

"But I love rebellious students like you. Makes the job fun. When school starts, all of you write me a self-reflection report. Put some heart into it."

"Just who are you!?"

The three remaining Yomi disciples looked at her in disbelief. Tirawit Kokin even shouted in rage.

A foolish move.

Hikigaya watched as this crazy woman rushed over with a gleeful expression and knocked all three of them down, too.

He facepalmed.

Where the hell did this wild alpha-female come from?

You're completely disqualified as a teacher!

"Hikigaya, I suddenly don't feel like going home anymore. The stars are so pretty tonight. Come lie down and look at them with me."

The violent female teacher seemed to have triggered some weird switch inside herself. Still looking unsatisfied, she turned to the only one still standing—Hikigaya—and grinned wickedly.

"Look, lady, you do realize that randomly beating students could get you fired, right?" Hikigaya's face twitched. "And what if you can't beat me?"

"Oh dear, teacher just heard something very naughty," Hiratsuka licked her lips, eyes fierce and gleaming. "Looks like you need even more loving education."

Yup, this woman's beyond saving. No amount of medicine will help now.

What's about to happen next is totally not out of personal grudge—please believe him!
