Chapter 81; You are serious?

"No! He can't do that! It's not possible!"

"Impossible!"

"They are his sons! Why wouldn't they inherit anything?"

"How can he be like this?"

Back when she was with him, she hadn't received a single share. Not even a cent of money. All he ever did was buy her things she wanted—never actual wealth. And now, with this woman, he was giving away everything? Even cutting out his own sons? What was he thinking?

"He already told us—we are not inheriting anything from his wealth," Lu Ting Cheng said coolly, casting a glare at her hysterical reaction. "And it's fine with us, and we even signed legal papers stating that we didn't have any legal rights to ask back anything father left to her. We actually don't care if we get nothing and won't fight for something we didn't work hard for. We will earn it ourselves because we are capable."

Did she really think she would gain something just because they were her biological sons? If she thought so and that's the reason she showed up today, then she must have miscalculated.

The woman's face paled as Lu Ting Cheng's words cut through her like ice. She staggered back, disbelief etched into every wrinkle of her face.

Why was everything all against her? She just needed to coax the kids, and they would immediately transfer a few million here and there by guilty-tripping them, but now they had nothing? They owned nothing? It's just that she didn't know; they were all self-made billionaires, and Lu Zi Zhen was almost touching a trillion worth at such a young age! They have worked really hard for this using their father's Company as a shield.

"You are serious?" she rasped, still in disbelief, gawking at Lu Ting Cheng, not understanding how he could leave everything to that woman, "You are really okay with this? How can you let an outsider have all the wealth?" How much did Lu Zhi Hao trust his wife? How much was he willing to lose to her?

Lu Ting Cheng didn't answer right away. Instead, he stood tall, composed, a glint of something unshakable in his eyes—pride, maybe, or quiet defiance. His stepmother never brought him up as a weakling! He could be totally stupid if he didn't gain any knowledge when Lu Wan Ruyi thought of them. Be it business, chess, art, gaming, racing, hacking, sciences, or painting; they should have even the basic knowledge for the slow learners.

"We were raised to be self-reliant, he gave us opportunities to work in the company, and we rose up through all the departments because we were hard-working, and we got paid a good amount of money just like any other worker working in that company, he is paying us a salary, won't that be stupid of us to still demand inheritance?" he coldly spoke up, every month they received an enormous amount of salary, and with that, they had to generate their own wealth, and if they tanked a lucrative project, their father would always share with them equally, the harvest they get. "He never promised us an inheritance, only the values we needed to build something for ourselves. That's what we inherit from him, and that's enough."

"How is it possible that you could accept this?"

"How?" Were they not ambitious? The Lu conglomerate was enormous, and they could become prominent people in a matter of seconds after owning it; they were leaving it to this woman? They allowed their father to cast them aside?

Lu Zhi Hao stood there, watching silently.

He didn't need to explain himself. He had made his choice, and he would never regret it. Everyone would have to abide by his decisions.
