[Siberia, Russia]
"Haaah…haaah...haaah…" An exhausted Omni-Man panted with his fists up. On the floor near death was Doc Seismic and Legionnaire's armor was half broken but he still stood strong. Nolan's suit was destroyed and he had large electricity scars on his body.
"Give up, Legionnaire. Whatever you had planned has already been foiled by my daughter. I would rather avoid killing you at the moment," Nolan said resolutely. Legionnaire laughed, and electricity surged out of him. You know I can't do that, Omni-Man. Either I die here, or I return to whatever hell the GDA has waiting for me."
Nolan closed his eyes and sighed, "Then so be it." They prepared for battle once again but before they charged at each other, a blue flash of light materialized ten soldiers in gray and green. They immediately shot tranquilizing darts at Legionnaire, knocking him out.
"I had that under control, Cecil…" Nolan said annoyed. Cecil Stedman walked out from behind the soldiers and looked at the almost-dead Doc Seismic and battered Omni-Man, "Sure you did."
"Round both of 'em up boys," Cecil commanded and he walked over to Nolan holding a tablet, "Nolan, do you have any idea what your daughter did today?"
Nolan shook his head, "All I know is that she handled a situation accordingly."
"Yeah by reducing Diamond Jack into a bloody puddle. The few words he could speak were some incoherent bullshit about peace and love." Cecil said as he showed Nolan the video of Jeanne brutally slamming Jack into the asphalt.
"So what? She stopped a villain who was killing people. I don't see the issue here, Cecil. I'm sure you already knew about her powers, so why are you showing me this?" Nolan asked, his tone laced with anger. Cecil sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"Nolan. She's seven years old thrashing around a villain the Guardians struggled to beat. There's no telling how powerful she'll become when she gets older and what if she loses control over her powers then what?" Cecil said with heavy concern. Nolan sighed and looked at Cecil.
"Then I'll clean up whatever mess she makes. I doubt my daughter will ever lose control though, she's well aware of the power she holds, more aware than you think." Nolan stated and flew off causing Cecil to sigh again. He put his hand up to his ear and spoke, "Donald, put surveillance on the Grayson family and create a file for Jeanne Grayson." Cecil then teleported away.

[Grayson Household]
"Jeanne, sweetie. What was that today? Not only did you mangle that man, you did it in such a savage way." My mother said and as much as she was trying to hide it, I could feel the fear buried within her. But why would she be scared? I'm not going to go berserk…
"Mom. He was trying to harm us, the fact I didn't kill him is mercy. When he recovers, he won't hurt anyone else ever again. I made sure of that." My mother shook her head.
"Sweetie, with your vast amount of mental abilities, why didn't you just knock him out and then change his mind? I'm sure that would've been more effective and less…barbaric." My
Mom squatted down and made eye contact with me as she said this. I guess she has a point…but I wasn't in a calm state of mind to think so clearly.
"Yeah, I could've. I should've. But the thought of him managing to hurt you and Mark royally pissed me off. He also kind of deserved the beating, he killed ten people today! I'm sure their families want justice in any way possible." I exclaimed. My mother sighed, I knew she agreed with me.
"Okay, but next time, please handle the situation with less gore. I don't need you being known as some ruthless hero." Mom said as she hugged me. I hugged her back, "I promise, I won't immediately resort to extreme violence."
Around the same time, I heard my father land on the roof and I could smell the Thai food he brought back.

[The Pentagon]
Underneath the Pentagon, a serious meeting was occurring. Sitting on one end of the table was the GDA director Cecil Stedman and on the other end was an African American man with an eye patch, Nick Fury. They were looking at the Grayson family surveillance cameras and the video of Jeanne mangling Diamond Jack was playing in the corner.
"See what I mean? Not necessarily a threat at the moment but what if she does? We have no way to defeat her father a man who doesn't have an inkling of the mental abilities she does. When she eventually gets her Viltrumite powers, I fear she may be more ungovernable than her father." Cecil said with a bit of despair in his tone. The thought of her mind controlling his entire agency frankly scared him.
"I see, but how is a seven-year-old Red Room graduate going to stop an alien superweapon?" Fury asked Cecil who changed the screens to said Red Room graduate.
"Natasha Romanoff. The only seven-year-old to survive the Red Room Superhuman Program. Raised to be an assassin, spy, or really anything we tell her. She's the perfect candidate. We'll place her with a fake family and have her pursue a friendship with Jeanne." Cecil said as he paced around the room. Fury sat in thought for a moment.
"Again, how is she going to stop her? Sure she can do all of that but Jeanne can read minds can't she? Won't she scan her mind and find out Natasha's true motive?" Fury refuted and Cecil changed the screen again. This time it was camera footage of a giant helmet contraption above a metal chair.
"Something the boys in R&D have been working on. We call it Cerebellum, it brainwashes a person down to their subconscious. We made a rat believe it was a monkey, a funny sight to see really. Anyways, we'll put Natasha under this and truly make her believe she's a regular seven-year-old girl. Then we can implant her true target within her subconscious. She doesn't have to stop Jeanne, just control her in any way possible."
Fury put his hand on his chin in thought, "Motherfucker. I'll send her in within a few hours but if my agent turns into a vegetable, I'm going to rip you a new one Cecil." Fury threatened and then vanished into thin air.
"You know most people don't threaten their bosses…" Cecil muttered before teleporting out of the room. Once both of them were gone, the room mechanically dismantled, and turned into a bathroom.

[One week later]
*DING DONG*
"MARK, JEANNE, ANSWER THE DOOR!" I heard Mom yell from her room. Mark and I looked at each other.
"Rock paper scissors!" We said simultaneously. After two rounds I obviously won, so poor Mark had to open the door. I watched from on top of the stairs and standing in the door, was a family of three. A father with brown hair and a small beard. A mother with long black hair, blue eyes, and a beauty mark above her lip. And finally, their daughter, a girl who looked around the same age as me with the same hair color, red, but her eyes were blue.
I found myself staring at her for a while, until my mother walking past me snapped me out of my trance.
"Hi! We're your new next-door neighbors the Yeager family. I'm Josef, this is my wife Victoria, and our lovely daughter Natalia." The father spoke with a slight accent, Russian maybe? My mother shook his hand and smiled.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Debbie Grayson, the little rascal who answered the door is my son Mark, and the girl watching us from the stairs is my daughter Jeanne. I'm sorry my husband can't introduce himself, he's away on business right now." My mother pointed at me and Mark before putting her hands together in apology. Josef waved his hand and laughed.
"No, it's alright! Gotta provide for the family, its actually quite rare that I'm not at work either." Josef said with a smile. After a few more minutes of friendly conversation, which led to them being invited to dinner tonight, my mother closed the door.
"They were nice people, right?" Mom asked with a bright smile, probably in anticipation of making some friends.
"Yeah, they seemed cool." I smiled.
