CHAPTER 44 - The Girl Who Doesn't Give Up. Part 1.

(Time ago.)

Kei has always avoided relating to any noble family. The main reason is that he hates nobles, as most of them take advantage of their social status, but there is another reason why Kei hates them: they do things that he considers unforgivable, such as choosing who their children will marry and not giving them the opportunity to meet more people and decide for themselves who to marry.

He is a sensitive and romantic boy who has always believed that love is the most important thing in a romantic relationship, which is why he considers arranged marriages to be impure and should not exist.

Kei became quite popular among noble families not only for being someone powerful despite being a man but also for being so difficult to conquer. Kei became someone that all the girls his age wanted to have in their arms, but no one dared to ask for his hand, as they knew perfectly well that they would be rejected instantly.

But there were families that did everything possible to have a member of the Molfer family related to their family, such as risking all their wealth and planning new crop and housing development plans, a plan that could go wrong, but if it turned out to be a success, the economy of the main investors would be greatly benefited.

A certain noble family devised an excellent development plan, which would completely improve people's lives, and they used that development plan to get Kei Molfer.

"And that's why we want Kiarna to marry your son," said the leader of the "Vizkei" family, after finishing explaining their plan to Sei Molfer.

After hearing the plan, Kei simply yawned and continued drawing in a notebook, not paying attention to the arranged marriage, as he would refuse as always.

Kei, at 7 years old, was gathered with the "Vizkei" family, a high-class noble family, quite important not only in that country but also in the world. Any family would kill, literally, to have the opportunity that they are giving to Kei Molfer, but since Kei belongs to the Molfer family, that opportunity was not at all special, as the Molfer consider the other families as simple weak insects without importance, and that includes Kei, although only a little. He acknowledges that there are powerful people in other families, but he has never met anyone capable of surpassing a Molfer.

His mother was sitting next to him, listening attentively. Sei Molfer is not too interested in her territories, but since her beloved husband loves to help people improve their lives, she listened carefully to the offer they are making, as if that plan really works, her husband would fall even more in love with her.

Sei Molfer, a crazy addict to fights and pain, but she is also obsessed with her husband.

"I see... I must admit that your reasons are good. The economic development of our families would grow and our territories would improve... You have an excellent plan. And if we double the investment, I suppose the benefit would come in less time. I would like to add the construction of schools and nurseries, my husband has been designing the plans for a school and I would love to surprise him. Kei, what do you think? Kiarna is adorable. Aren't you interested in taking her as your wife? She's older than you, but I don't think it matters too much," said Sei Molfer.

Kei observed Kiarna, the first daughter of the Vizkei family. She was a little girl of ten. She had silver long hair, brown eyes, wore large glasses, and a cute blue ribbon adorned her hair. She was very cute and adorable, but that could not matter less to Kei.

Her face was a little red, and she was a bit nervous about Kei's gaze on her.

He simply clicked his tongue and crossed his arms, somewhat angry.

Kiarna, worried, tried to open her mouth to speak, but upon seeing Kei's serious and unhappy expression, she froze, not out of fear, but out of concern, as this was her only chance to make Kei her husband.

"What's the matter, Kei?" her mother asked.

Kiarna crossed her fingers, praying to Fravi that Kei would accept her love.

"Listen. The plan you have is good, I won't deny that. The crops will improve, and the products will improve. Everything will get better overall... But there's no need for me to marry her. I refuse to marry her."

"W-what?" Kiarna said softly as her heart broke, and her eyes filled with tears.

Kei does not believe in love at first sight. He believes that a healthy romantic relationship is born after friendship. Falling in love with someone just because of their appearance or personality, without being their friend or at least talking to that person, is not love, only attraction.

Seeing Kiarna cry does not affect Kei at all because he does not believe that he has broken her heart, as he thinks she only feels attraction, not love, and he believes that this feeling of pain and sadness will disappear in a short time, after all, they are not even friends.

Furthermore, there is another reason why Kei rejected the offer. He thinks the parents are making the decision for her, and that is unforgivable to him. At that moment, Kei was planning ways to punish Kiarna's parents, so they learn not to make decisions that do not belong to them.

"Mother, accept the offer of help, but I will not marry her. If you don't need me, I must withdraw. I must accompany Mei fishing."

Kei stood up and walked away.

"Well, you've heard my son. I'll accept the offer of help. Tomorrow we'll start with..."

"W-wait, please!"

Setting aside her nervousness and pain, Kiarna stood up and quickly approached Kei, who stopped and turned to look at her.

"Do you have any questions for me? My mother is the one in charge of the business, not me."

"Is there something wrong with me? I can change if necessary..."

Kei gave her a little tap on her forehead with his finger, and Kiarna complained a little. It hurt, but not much, as Kei only did it to make her realize the stupidity of what she said, not to hurt her.

"Don't be silly. Don't belittle yourself like that. You are beautiful, but I don't know you. I'm different from those stupid nobles who accept arranged marriages just because the girls are pretty. I don't know you... And honestly, I don't want to get married... I can't do it, I'm sorry. You should marry someone who loves you and whom you love. You shouldn't get married just because your stupid parents are forcing you to do it."

Kiarna's parents reacted with fear to those words, and Sei Molfer began to laugh.

"Hahaha! Fufu. He really is like me. I rejected all marriages until I met his father. The best decision of my life."

"Love is important, don't forget that. Oh, by the way, your parents won't be returning to your house for... Hmm... Two days. Yes, two days is enough time."

He turned to look at them and winked, and that was more than enough to fill them with terror.

"I want you in the basement when the meeting is over. Don't try to escape."

Kei left the room and Kiarna's heart began to beat rapidly.

"As cool as ever."

After that day, Kiarna's parents never looked Kei Molfer in the eye again, as seeing him reminds them of everything he did to them as punishment for trying to force their daughter to participate in an arranged marriage.

"What?! Why are you rejecting me?! There's still time!"

Kei was arguing with a woman. He was in line to register for a tournament, but when it was his turn, the woman in charge of registrations rejected him. The reason was simple: he was being looked down upon for being a man. It was cruel, but common sense in that world, as most men were useless.

"We don't accept weaklings. Get out of my sight."

"Weaklings, you say?"

The laughter of the people around him was making him angry.

Kei tried to control his anger and sighed to calm himself down, as he knew that if he lost control and showed his fury, he would be out of character. At that moment he was Crisfa, not Kei Molfer, and he had to behave as Crisfa does.

"Oh, I'm being discriminated against. Luna, my hero, I need your help."

Luna, who was behind him, approached the woman and showed her status, paralyzing the woman and the people around her with fear.

The reason she was not recognized was because her image was not very famous, as she did not like to stand out, as that was something that brought bad memories to her mind.

"I am Luna, one of the heroes. Crisfa has what it takes to participate. Or do you dare to doubt me?"

Immediately, all the people around her kneeled before her, except Kei, who simply stood there, watching the situation unfold.

"I apologize for my stupid mistake!"

"Apologies accepted, cutie!" said Kei, winking and accelerating the woman's heart.

Kei realized that everyone was kneeling, even the people who were far away from her. Being a hero meant that the fate of the world was in their hands. They had to be respectful and treat them like gods, or at least that's what they believed.

"They really treat you with respect, huh? Should I kneel too?"

"It's not necessary, I hate it when they do that."

"Oh, a humble hero. I like that! My favorite hero is Gelisha, but now you're officially my second favorite hero. You tell Bandia I'm sorry, but she's now my third favorite hero."

"Gelisha is your favorite?"

"Sorry for being honest."

"Don't worry. Where was I originally?"

"Mmm... I hate Near, she's the last. Riafra bores me. Sepgrar embarrasses me... Mmm... I'd say you were in fifth place, after Frima."

"Neither very good nor very bad. I'm content."

"By the way, would you accept a dinner with this humble adventurer? I'd like to ta...lk..."

Kei felt a chill and a deep fear flooded his body as the shadow of death hovered over him.

"Eh? Why am I feeling afraid?"

"Crisfa, you're late!!"

"Uwaaaah! I'm dead!"

Kei started trembling and hid behind Luna.

"S-shit, she's angrier than I thought!"

Sei Molfer was approaching him. She was clearly angry. Kei knew he was to blame for being late, so it was best to just tell the truth, so that his punishment wouldn't get worse.

"I-I'm sorry, I overslept. B-by the way, you look beautiful today, great and perfect Sei Molfer!"

Sei Molfer grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and started walking while Kei choked because Sei Molfer was pulling him too hard.

"I already registered you, idiot! Move your ass!"

"W-well, you should have told me earlier!"

Luna started walking alongside Sei Molfer.

"It's nice to see you again."

"Luna? I see you get along well with Kei," she said quietly.

"I'm interested in his talent."

"Wouldn't you be interested in having him as a servant or husband? I'll give him to you."

"Hey, I'm not an object!" Kei complained.

"No, thanks. He's too small for me."

"Don't worry about that, fortunately he inherited that completely from his father. I assure you he has it very big despite his age, and it's still developing."

Kei turned completely red with embarrassment and covered his face with his hands so that Luna wouldn't see.

She blushed at hearing that and coughed to try to change the subject.

"I was referring to his age, not his... thing. By the way, you may face Near again. Do you think you could beat her again?"

"Yes, that idiot is quite predictable."

And so, a new impure thought was born in Luna's mind.

While Kei was preparing for the start of the tournament, far away in a city, Mei was sitting on a woman, a woman whose seconds of life were numbered, and the one who decided how long she would live was precisely Mei, her executioner.

The woman had deep knife wounds all over her body and a crowd surrounded her.

Mei tortured her, stabbing her and keeping her alive only to make her suffer even more, as she didn't want to give her a quick death.

Mei Molfer, despite behaving quite innocently and cheerfully with Kei, inherited the personality of her mother, Sei Molfer. In other words, Mei is someone who enjoys the pain of others.

"Visha, you are arrested for increasing taxes without permission! Tax theft. Extortion. Murder. And for mocking my beautiful brother. I, Mei Molfer, sentence you to death. Any last words?"

"This is a misunderstanding! I would never betray Sei Molfer!"

That was false.

Kei heard rumors about Visha, so he asked Mei to investigate while he was in another city.

Quickly, Mei confirmed that the rumors were true. The city is within the Molfer family's territory. If something bad happened to the city, the Molfer family's reputation would be in danger.

"I have investigated enough."

Mei stood up, grabbed Visha's arms, and began to spin her rapidly.

"This is for calling my dear brother an 'inferior idiot' just because he rejected your ugly and fat niece!"

With a big push, Mei let go of Visha, and she flew up to a great height.

Mei raised her right hand and began to create a huge fireball.

"Infernal Sphere!"

She threw it at Visha. As she could do nothing to avoid her death, Visha closed her eyes and cursed Mei.

"You will die soon, Mei!! I hope you have a painful death!!"

The sphere hit her, causing a huge explosion that left her in pieces.

The inhabitants of the city began to celebrate, and Mei puffed up her chest with pride, not taking that threat seriously. To Mei, that threat was just desperate words from a dead person.

"Kei owes me a kiss now!!" Mei shouted, raising her arms.

Everyone fell silent, quite confused by those strange words.

"A-a kiss?"

"But they are siblings."

"Idiots, did you forget about the cake that Kei sells? It's called 'pleasure kiss.' Surely, she meant that, a cake."

"Oh, yes, that makes more sense."

After the supposed misunderstanding was cleared up, the celebration continued.

And so, Kei's reputation was saved thanks to a misunderstanding, as Mei was referring to a real kiss.

Kei, in his childhood, sold cakes in the city to use women as his laboratory rats and use his ability on them to see the results it had.

Selling cakes was just an excuse to talk to women and see the effects of his ability in action, and as the cakes genuinely caused orgasms, no one would suspect that he was the one causing them with his ability.
