CHAPTER 45 - Cris's past... boring? Part 1.

Kei is not someone who likes to humiliate himself, but when he's desperate, he leaves his dignity behind and is willing to humiliate himself just to get what he wants.

"Please, mother, help me! I'll do whatever you want! I'll fight, but you know I won't win! Remove the conditions! I want to keep my C class!"

Kei met his mother in a secret room located beneath the coliseum. It is a secret room used for special meetings.

It was lit with magic stones. Magic stone = light bulb. They are common stones that serve as light bulbs.

Kei returned to his normal form, as he can't be discovered here.

His mother, seeing him so desperate, simply sighed and crossed her arms.

"Yes, I know. I didn't expect you to fight her... I suppose I'll remove the conditions. Son, I know it's almost impossible for you to win, but give it your best effort."

Sei Molfer patted his head and smiled at him, as any loving mother would, scaring Kei, who is not used to being treated so kindly by his mother.

"I'm sure it will be an entertaining fight."

"Y-yeah. I won't disappoint you, mother. But it will only be entertaining because she will mercilessly kill me! Ahhhhhhhh! Why did I have to get Near?!"

"Stop crying and shut up!" said Sei Molfer, after giving Kei a big hit on the head.

Kei's face hit the floor, regretting making her angry.

"Of the few times my mother acts decent and I come up with ruining it. Ahhhhhhhh! I'm an idiot!"

"Now, put on the clothes I gave you. The special fight will begin."

"Special fight? That sounds interesting. Who will fight?"

"It's a surprise."

Sei Molfer winked at him and Kei felt a bad feeling.

"What will she do now?" thought Kei, worried.

Kei and his mother returned to their seats, and the host is about to start the last fight of the day.

"Lastly, we have the special fight! Betting is over! The odds are 9/1 in favor of the princess!"

"9/1? Wow, that's a big difference. Who will be the poor victim that will be humiliated?" Kei said.

In his normal form, Kei Molfer was observing the arena from a balcony. Important nobles, including the first princess, were gathered on the balcony.

For some reason, Sei Molfer ordered Kei to wear only black pants and shoes and did not allow him to wear a shirt. She did not tell him the reason; she just ordered it, and Kei obeyed.

The princess's attention was drawn to his excellent physique. She could not stop looking at him, but he didn't notice.

The main attractions in this world are power and beauty, and Kei is not only handsome but also very powerful despite his young age, something quite attractive to anyone, and the princess is no exception.

The princess's gaze focused on Kei's rear, and she smiled.

"Kei Molfer, the fifth son of Sei Molfer, will fight Your Majesty, Princess 'Estella'!"

"What?! The princess?!"

The princess jumped from the balcony and landed perfectly in the arena.

"Are you ready?" Estella said as she drew her sword from its sheath.

"Wait! Do I have to do this?! They didn't even tell me I was going to participate in this stupid fight!"

"Kei, fight using all your strength! Don't let yourself lose, or I'll reveal your secret! And if you lose, I'll reveal your secret too!" Sei Molfer shouted.

Kei turned completely red, and putting aside his shame, a sword of fire appeared in his right hand.

"If for some reason I win, don't get mad, please. Accept defeat."

"Same here, Kei Molfer."

Kei sighed. He seemed relaxed, but he was too nervous on the inside.

"The princess is an incredible warrior who survived my mother's training! I've never seen her fight! Is she powerful?! And if I win?! Will the Royal Family kill me?" he thought, scared.

Fighting someone unknown is always a challenge for Kei because he prefers to know his enemy before fighting, but this time he did not have the chance to prepare for the fight, so he is at a disadvantage... or so he thinks, as he always underestimates himself.

"Begin!"

Estella immediately tried to attack him, not giving him time to think, but Kei perfectly dodged the attack and moved away. He dodged it so easily that he left Kei confused, thinking that the princess was much more powerful.

"She's... slow?"

Estella continued attacking, but Kei perfectly dodged her attacks without any difficulty.

For Kei, those attacks were so slow that he even had the luxury of thinking about other things instead of focusing on how to defeat her. To Kei, the princess was no longer a threat to him.

Immediately, Kei's sword disappeared, and he stopped Estella's sword with both hands.

All the people were left speechless when they saw it, because Kei, without any difficulty, stopped the sword of the princess, stopping her.

"I'm bored now."

Kei broke the sword and began to sweat too much.

"I lost 80% of my magic energy, but it was worth it."

"What did you do?! How did you do it?!"

"You used your magic to enhance your sword attacks. It's a big mistake. First, you must use magic in your legs and arms to enhance your movements. You lost control of your sword for a second. Everyone began to celebrate Kei's victory, and he walked away.

[Girls, Cris wait. Meet me in the forest. I'll tell you my plan on the way.]

Sei Molfer landed in the arena and hugged Kei, quite excited, as it was the first time she saw her son defeat someone so powerful without striking her.

"Son, what did you do to her?! Show me!"

"It's a secret, mother. I'll show you after the tournament. I'll keep it to myself for now."

"You didn't cheat, did you?"

"Of course not! I used my own magic!"

"I see."

"I can't tell her that a demon taught me to use my magic to control the magic point in the brain," thought Kei.

In this world, almost nothing is known about magic points. Demons are experts in that subject.

Drin taught Kei everything she knew about magic points.

When Estella used magic to enhance her sword attacks, her magic points were linked to the sword. When Kei used his magic on Estella's sword, he sent a large part of his magic to the magic point in Estella's brain.

He ordered Estella's body not to move, and so he won.

It's a risky move, as it requires too much magic power and only works with people weaker than him.

"At least it worked... But it's too tiring, and I almost failed... It's useless, it won't serve me," thought Kei.

He turned around and looked at his fist.

"Cris... Ah, I have to take magic energy potions. I must prepare," he thought.

He felt a shiver and looked to his left, realizing that Cris was looking at him.

They exchanged glances, and after 5 seconds, they both looked away and left.

"You're dead, impostor," thought Cris.

"You won't ruin my plans," thought Kei.

And so, a beautiful friendship has just ended, giving way to a rivalry.

Cris was sitting under a tree, waiting for Kei.

Above her head was the Slime, eating a slice of cake.

"What if he escapes?" asked Slime.

"He won't escape, Sline. He doesn't have any other option," replied Cris.

"Are you sure you'll win? Kei Molfer is much more powerful than we imagined."

"I don't know, but I don't care. I won't allow that impostor to remain free."

(Long ago.)

After living for 5 years as a Slime in a forest, Cris gained enough power and learned to shapeshift, putting an end to her wild life in the forest.

"I-it's working..."

She transformed into a 5-year-old girl.

"Yes! Finally! It's perfect!"

She checked her entire body. She was not missing any parts. Everything was in order. She had the body of a true girl.

"Good, I don't have a penis! I'm 100% a woman... Will Kei accept me with this body or will he still see me as a man?"

"A girl?"

She heard the voices of some women behind her.

"Girl, what are you doing here?"

"Why are you naked?"

"Did you get lost?"

A group of 3 adventurers approached her, offering her their help.

Cris took the opportunity and pretended to have a sad expression on her face.

"Y-yes... My family was attacked by a monster while I was bathing... I barely escaped with my life... My family died. They're dead!"

"How terrible! Come with us, you'll be safe."

"Eh? Did they believe my story so easily? I'm not even crying. My [Deception] ability works very well. Thanks, bandit scammer that I ate. You tasted awful, but your ability is very useful." Cris thought.

9-year-old Cris sat on top of the bodies of 10 Orcs, while devouring the arm of one of them.

The adventurers congratulated her on her work and petted her head.

"With this, we finish the request. Let's go back."

Cris looked at the corpses of the Orcs, remembering how easy it was for her to defeat them.

Satisfied with the result, she looked up and smiled.

"I have enough power now... Kei, I will see you soon."

Cris spent her whole life in that world trying to improve and become stronger to be useful to Kei and be by his side again, but because of Fravi, her chance disappeared, and she became the enemy of the person she loved so much.

Her friendship with Kei has finally come to an end.

Kei, Drin, and Eris met with Cris.

There was no need to use their adventurer forms with her, so Drin and Kei were using their normal forms... Well, Drin uses her human form, but she considers it her new normal form.

"Alright, here we are... I guess you won't believe me if I tell you we're not bad guys. We don't work for the demons."

"You're still lying. My ability never fails me."

"Well, it's failing now."

"Sure, whatever. I don't have time, let's get this over with."

A black portal appeared next to Kei and he put his right hand in.

He pulled out the fake Dragon Sword and the portal disappeared.

"Are you ready?"

"Magical storage? Where did you get that? I investigated, but it doesn't exist in this world," said Cris.

"It doesn't exist? Well, it does now. I got it in a dungeon."

"In a dungeon? That's weird... Well, it doesn't matter. Let's begin."

Cris and Kei were once best friends... But that friendship was left in the past.
