Chapter 15 – The Most Dangerous Woman

Chapter 15 – The Most Dangerous Woman

"What are you staring at?! Idiot!"

Hideo blinked slowly. Huh. Tonight might be more interesting than I thought.

But unexpectedly, the girl in front of him seemed to be in a terrible mood. She turned and snapped:

"What's your problem?! Never seen a pretty girl before, you disgusting bastard?!"

He offered a faint smile, calm and unaffected.

"Miss, have we met before? Your face feels oddly familiar."

The girl glared daggers at him, teeth clenched.

"Hah! As if you don't know me, you bastard! Third Young Master Takumi, what kind of act are you playing now? Trying to pretend this is our 'first meeting'?"

Eh? So she does know me?

Hideo quickly scoured his inherited memories to figure out who this fiery girl was. A moment later, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment as he let out a sheepish chuckle.

"So we have met before... must be fate, Miss Liu."

"Fate my ass!" she snapped. One of her female guards even snorted, barely holding back laughter.

Meanwhile, Dai Izuma—who had been trembling, thinking he might be arrested—quietly stepped back, listening in on the conversation. After hearing Hideo's last line, a shiver ran down his spine.

"His bravery... is worthy of respect," Dai whispered to himself. Saying that to her... the scariest woman in the entire Katalys Kingdom—Liu Yufei—was pure madness.

Yufei's eyes gleamed with danger, a violent aura swirling around her.

"Hideo Takumi! Think the beating I gave you last time wasn't enough?! I'm in a bad mood today—and your bones look perfect for venting my frustration!"

And then, it clicked. Hideo finally remembered.

Liu Yufei was the one person his past self had feared the most.

The former Hideo had made a terrible mistake with her—so bad, she hated him to the core. The result? He ended up bedridden for half a month.

"Aha... Miss Liu, I truly hope you're having a lovely evening. I actually still have urgent business with this young fellow here, so... I'll be taking my leave!"

Hideo turned to escape, but Yufei raised her chin with a smirk.

"Going somewhere? About to cause more trouble? Since you bumped into me, forget it. You're coming with me. I'm gonna vent first, then you can crawl away."

Dai Izuma nearly cried. Why are you getting close to her, Young Master?! Everyone else runs away when they see this woman! Sure, she's gorgeous—but I value my life!

Then, Hideo suddenly had an idea.

Leaning in, he whispered with a mysterious grin:

"Miss Liu… the place we were headed... it's not really a suitable place for a lady of your status."

"What? A brothel?"

Hideo froze. Damn—this woman was blunt!

"Gross!"

He quickly tried to save face, looking innocent.

"W-Who said we were going to a brothel?! We were just... heading to the Thousand Gold Hall! You know, to—uh—gamble a bit…"

Realizing he'd just confessed to something possibly worse, Hideo clamped his mouth shut. But Yufei's eyes narrowed with curiosity.

"Gambling...? I've never been. Take me there. Now."

Her female guards immediately panicked, trying to stop her. But she was already fired up.

"Relax! My brothers talk about that place all the time! I want to see it myself!"

Without another word, she yanked Hideo by the ear and began dragging him along.

"If you behave, maybe I'll let you off easy today."

Hideo could've easily escaped—but he allowed himself to be pulled along.

It was all part of the plan.

Their guards exchanged confused looks, clearly unwilling to interfere in what was quickly turning into a chaotic mess. The Takumi and Liu family escorts could only follow along with stiff expressions.

Hideo sighed internally. Why did the tiger have to show up now...? If she sees the debt letter...

Dai Izuma, trailing behind, trembled like a leaf. If Liu Yufei gets wind of this... the entire capital will know by tomorrow. I might as well dig my own grave.

Even as his ear was being dragged, Hideo tried to distract himself from the humiliation.

"Skill Activated: Learn (~)"

"Scanning target..."

"Status Appraisal: Active"

A faint blue glint flashed in his eyes. The world seemed to slow, and a translucent blue screen floated before him:

"Status Screen"

Name: Liu Yufei

Race: Human

Age: 16

Jobs: Warrior (B) | Paladin (E)

Current Attributes:

• Mana: D

• Strength: A

• Intelligence: D

• Speed: E

• Endurance: B

Skills: Mana Armor (B), Shockwave Fist (B), Healing Touch (D), Aura of Protection (C)

Hideo narrowed his eyes at the screen. Liu Yufei... Her name was already infamous—but something on that panel caught his attention.

Paladin? Isn't that from the Acolyte branch?

He remembered reading about job evolution. Acolytes typically served supportive or healing roles—but those who followed specific doctrines could evolve into Paladins, holy warriors who combined divine strength with martial prowess.

Paladins… the perfect balance of healing and combat. A true hybrid of offense and defense.

Looking at Yufei's stats—high strength and solid defense, plus the ability to heal—Hideo nodded internally.

"She's not just a fighter. She's a one-woman army."

Quickly, he closed the appraisal screen before she noticed he was staring.

Just in time.

Yufei snapped, "What? Keep looking at me and I'll rearrange your eyeballs."

"N-No! I was just... admiring your courageous aura, Miss Liu."

His smile was innocent—but deep down, Hideo knew one thing: if she found out about that debt letter... he was screwed.

Moments later, they arrived at Thousand Gold Hall. Dai Izuma dashed ahead and yelled at the top of his lungs:

"The Third Young Master has arrived! Prepare everything!!"

Within seconds, six young nobles rushed out—but froze in horror at the sight before them.

There she was—Liu Yufei, daughter of the mighty Liu clan... dragging Hideo Takumi by the ear.

Every one of those nobles had suffered under her before.

And today… they witnessed two disasters in one.

First: Liu Yufei had entered this den of debauchery.

Second: She came with Hideo Takumi.

Only the heavens could guess what kind of catastrophe was about to unfold.
