The Beginning

An alarm began ringing loudly as I began groaning, not wanting to wake up from my bed but ended up reaching for the alarm to turn it off anyway. I walked towards my closet, scanning through my wardrobes for a suitable outfit for the day. I picked one and took a quick cold shower as I looked through the mirror, reflecting my image.

Donning a casual white t-shirt and black trousers, my wheat-blonde hair was still damp from the shower, my sharp features enhanced my looks greatly, along with my sharp gray eyes and a lean physique.

My room was basic, with only a white small mattress on the ground along with a small table and chair for him to do my school work. A black lamp was located just beside my table with a clock hanging right above it.

After my hair had dried, I took a black coat and went downstairs. Walking down the stairs, My eye settled on a note left on the dining table along with some sandwiches. 'Sorry Lloyd, Momma needs to leave early for work again. Here is your usual favorite, a ham sandwich'.

Other than the dining table, lies a refrigerator and a few more kitchen appliances. Just past the kitchen, there is the living room, containing the front door of the house. I took the sandwich and went outside, immediately meeting the heat of the scorching sun. Just down the street, I noticed a familiar figure.

"Lloyd!" the figure called out, running towards me as he tripped and his glasses fell off, sliding to my feet.

"Still clumsy as always." I pointed out, picking up his glasses and helping him stand up. "So, how are you doing, Jay?"

Jay was quite a timid boy, with his blue hair and a pair of blue eyes, covered with his glasses. Matching his nerdy appearance, he would usually get top scores out of everyone.

"Thanks, I've been fine. Now let's hurry. We are gonna be late!"

"Alright Alright."

We hurried to the designated meeting spot, meeting with the rest of the friend group.

Brody was a tall, broad man. You could see his muscle through his tight clothes with black for his hairs and eyes. Despite this, he was a shy, introverted man, the total opposite for Janey. Wearing only a crop top, her tom boy-ish style was apparent as she always had a grumpy expression and short red hair with red eyes. Just passed the two of them is Bob. Out of all of us, His brown hair was slicked all the way back along with black eyes. He is probably the one average guy. Average looking, average scores, average everything basically So hence the nickname, Averager.

"You are late, you two!" Janey shouted out, walking towards us.

"Isn't it because you are too early-" I tried to counter but was met with a fist straight to my face instead, causing me to stumble back slightly. "What the hell was that for?!"

"Payback for being late."

"As I said, aren't you a little too early? I was only 1 minute late!"

"That's still late!"

"Now Now" Brody stepped in, separating us. "We came here to have fun."

I sighed as he extended my hand for Janey to shake. "Here. He is right."

Janey hesitated but shook my hand, before squeezing it tightly, making me flinch as his hand was in pain.

"Ouch! Hey!" I shouted out.

Janey finally released her grip as she let out a devilish smile. "Now we are fair."

"What part of this is fair?" I rebutted.

After that, we went to have fun like the usual hangout you have with your friends and the days went by quickly. With the sun beginning to set, We were looking from a glass balcony, our gaze locked on it.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Bob spoke out, admiring the view.

"Haha, It's a great escape from the stress of the upcoming exam." Jay pointed out.

"Exam?" I asked. "What exam?"

Janey laughed as I asked that. "Are you deaf or something? The teacher mentioned it almost everyday!"

"Huh? When is the exam?!" I asked, beginning to panic.

"Now's not the time to talk about it." Brody spoke out, his eyes locked on the sunset. "Enjoy the view for now."

"He's right." Bob agreed.

This sunset is quite peaceful. Was it the perspective we are watching from? Whatever the case is, I hope this can go on forever. I glanced back at Janey, who was right next to me.

"What are you looking at?" Janey asked with a scowled on her face.

I simply let out a chuckle before smiling. "I really appreciate you all. Thanks for making today fun."

Janey's eyes widened a bit at my statement, matching my smile afterwards. "Your smile is quite beautiful."

"Yours is nice as well." I complimented her, causing her to turn away quickly.

"S-shut up. I don't want to hear that from you." She stuttered, not meeting my eyes.

"Will you two stop flirting in front of us?" Jay exclaimed.

"F-Flirting? We aren't!" Janey disagreed, her face was still quite red.

This is nice. I really do hope this goes on forever. Until suddenly, the sun began to shone brightly, emitting a red particle across. My attention went back to it, along with the rest of them. A red liquid began to drop across the hot red ball slowly until the sun was completely red.

"W-what is that?" Bob pointed towards the sky. Taking a look at it, I noticed the clouds were getting pushed back further and further by a red particle, until everywhere around us was pure red, just like in an apocalyptic movie.

"I have a bad feeling about this." I spoke out, glancing back at the red sun. "What is happening.."

Suddenly, the sun got brighter and brighter, causing us to cover our eyes from the immense light it was emitting. I got an intense headache afterwards, causing me to fall down to my knees as I clutched my head.

Until suddenly, everything had gotten black as I passed out.

PRESENT

"Lloyd. Lloyd." Somebody called out to me. My eyes slowly opened as I saw the pout expression written on her expression. "You can't just sleep here! Let's go."

"Ah. Sorry, my bad." I apologized, grabbing my sheathed sword that lies next to me as I stood up. "Let's go."

"You look troubled. You can tell me if you want, you know. I'm always open." She said, her eyes meeting mine.

"No, I'm fine." I replied, my mind wandering elsewhere.

Haha.. that scene brought back some unpleasant memories. One that I would rather forget happened.
