Never forget kindness

"It's time to finish some adult business." Jun Soryu remarked, and took a deep breath, he leapt over the buildings, striding through thin walls and broad roofs like an agile cat.

'I still lack footwork technique, in future I must gain it' Jun Soryu took note while sprinting even faster towards the direction of the city, 'But still, at just Foundation Building Realm, my speed is no less than the cars running on broad roads'

He chuckled as he outran a sped up car and while absorbing this unique experience, Jun Soryu finally reached the core region of the city, cleverly mixing into the crowd naturally.

"Hmph" Jun Soryu smugly nodded, 'Surviving as an underage kid is quite difficult in the city, everyone looks down on you and more and more try to thug you, without a guardian there are many things I couldn't do before but...'

"From today, Jun Soryu is his own guardian." As Jun Soryu made this remark, the particles of space around him shivered for an instant, and in the next instant, a strange-black ink materialised around Jun Soryu, and Jun Soryu, who till just a moment ago looked like any ordinary 10-year-old kid, suddenly transformed into a young adult.

A man, wearing an impeccable royal blue cotton shirt and creamy pants underneath, even the colour of his hair changed to jet black, but his eyes were still molten amber. Just looks alone attracted major attention from the crowd with each step he took.

"Hehe!" Jun Soryu grinned with satisfactory results. 'Since my cultivation is still low, I can't fool the experts, but since most people I will be dealing with are ordinary or low-grade practitioners, I can fool them with this illusion crafted with Flowing Shadow Scripture (流影經).'

Jun Soryu nodded, absolutely pleased. As he stepped inside an enormous building labelled 'Eastern Crown Estates'.

The moment he stepped inside, the appearance he had designed just for this moment immediately caught the attention of several estate agents present in the lobby.

The neat black hairs and confidence amber-like pupils, a young pale skin matching with his broad shoulders and dashing frame of his body and clothes.

'This is definitely a jackpot!'

All agents had the same thought as they rushed towards Jun Soryu in disguise, taking out their cards to introduce themselves with utmost respect.

"Hello, sir. I'm Zhang Wei, a veteran agent!"

"Sir! I'm Yu Changhe! I have 15 years experience!"

"Sir, allow me to treat you to our best coffee, and then we can discuss—"

"Step aside! Sir, I'm—!"

Everyone was eager to step over one another to reach Jun Soryu. Jun Soryu, on the other hand, who had expected these reactions, just stared at the crowd silently.

'As expected, nothing screams wealth more than the looks of the man,' he scoffed and stared at the crowd. Each agent was a veteran with impressive connections, but he didn't come here to merely buy a place; he had his own agenda.

"I wish to meet an individual named 'Liu Yuxin'; I heard she was an employee here?" Jun Soryu declared his intentions clearly; the crowd, confused, stepped back.

"Liu Yuxin? You know this name?"

"Who is that?"

"... the name sounds familiar."

"Ah! Right! The new employee who came here last month!"

As expected, someone recognised it. Jun Soryu's eyes searched around the lobby but couldn't find the one he was looking for. That was until the doors of the lift suddenly opened up, revealing a dark-haired lady with big round glasses, somehow carrying large bundles of documents and files in her hands.

"Liu Yuxin..." Someone from the crowd recognised this lady in a professional blue suit; Jun Soryu's gaze was immediately diverted towards her too.

'So she did indeed work here' Jun Soryu's face lit up with a smile recognising the face. 'My father and mother got into an accident 3 years ago and both were run over by truck in broad daylight because of malfunction with the vehicle.

I was a mess; my relatives took the opportunity to steal most of the properties that should have been passed down to me, especially my aunt from my father's side. That horrible woman even attempted to steal the government support funds and send me to some countryside orphanage managed by friends.

I somehow held myself up and escaped that damn place with some money, my family portrait and some other things I was emotionally close to. After a month of wandering around in the streets, this big sister picked me up from the streets and brought me to live with her even while she herself struggled to meet her own expenses.

She helped me with paper work for government findings and even admission into school so I can continue my education and live a better life.'

Jun Soryu barely held his tears remembering the past. 'Had it not been for her, I don't know if I would even be alive right now. After a month of living with her, I realised I was being a burden to her life, so I ran away again, this time with some plans. I took over that abandoned house outside the city and made my place there. Relying on government funding and scholarships from school, I held on to life, and now that fate has rewarded me for my struggles, it's my turn to reward those who helped me.'

Jun Soryu's face lit up with a soothing warm smile, and taking just a step forward, the next instance he was seen standing right in front of Liu Yuxin.

"Ack?!" In a state of shock, she tossed all the papers in hand up in the air with her wide eyes left staring at Jun Soryu's kind and adoring gaze.

"Miss Liu Yuxin..." Jun Soryu addressed the lady while wrapping his hands around her arm, the same way she had done when she picked him up from the streets a few years ago.

"Are you free to show me a house where I can live?" Jun Soryu questioned with a chuckle. This sight didn't just stun the people gathered in the lobby but even Liu Yuxin herself, who was left standing there like the female lead of some romance fantasy meeting the long-lost beast she rescued in the past.

"S-sure!" Liu Yuxin snapped out of the daze and pulled her arm back in surprise, fixing her thick-framed glasses over her nose; her twinkling eyes finally fell over Jun Soryu again.

'What can I do for you?' she exclaimed. Wh-what the hell is this handsome hunk?!"

"You switched thought bubbles with speech," Jun Soryu remarked, flustering already beaming red Liu Yuxin even more.

"I... I will guide you; please follow me." Liu Yuxin somehow mumbles and steps back into the lift; Jun Soryu follows with his eyes absolutely fixed on Liu Yuxin, increasing her heartbeat with each passing moment.

'W-what do I do!? Who is he?! Why does he know my name? Will I be able to talk?! What if I bit my tongue while talking?!' There were so many questions and nervousness flooding her mind, but despite her low confidence, the moment she entered her cabin with Jun Soryu, her professionalism took over.

"These are Grade B properties; they are nice resident apartments. Some are rented at 1000 credits per month, but if you want to buy, the lowest price starts at 50,000," she explained while showing holographic images of the said properties.

Jun Soryu just sat back observing the buildings. 'To be honest I don't have a clue about what kind of properties are worth it. I don't want some huge villa worth millions of credits, but at the same time I also don't want to live in apartments; it's really not safe in such locations...'

Jun Soryu had a unique dilemma, but that was solved as Liu Yuxin introduced the next slide.

"And this! The Grade A properties, their prices will only increase more in future, a martial gym is under construction nearby this place so its safer than most places in Tianhai city.

The starting price starts with 5 million credits, currently we hold about 17 modern style houses you can choose from!"

"Perfect!" Jun Soryu remarked the moment he caught sight of the properties. They were located in a complete residential area with nice scenery because of higher grounds and beautiful and safe locality.

"These are the available options huh..." Jun Soryu slid the various images on screen and eventually got what he wanted.

"I will have the 12th one." Jun Soryu nodded with certainty; the one he chose was a proper, fully furnished house, not very outshining nor too plain and simple, with a big space for a garden outside and even a tree outside for cool wind.

"I will pay in full." Jun Soryu excitedly remarked, Liu Yuxin's eyes lit up hearing that as she rushed out of the cabin, "I-I will get the papers done!"

"Hmm..." Jun Soryu just smiled while staring at her back. 'The agents get 5% commission from everything they sell. It means today she will be earning at least a million credits. Being a beginner, that would just be almost her 1-year average salary...' Jun Soryu chuckled, and about an hour later, he was served with the keys to his new residence.

"Thank you for buying from Eastern Crown Estates!" Liu Yuxin bade the farewell with a wide smile on her face. Jun Soryu just smiled without looking back and left the building, completely satisfied. '... Maybe I should buy more properties from here next time.'
