**Chapter 61: Tracking the Mysterious Pokémon**
By the time Bai Feng, Yingzhou, and Huacai returned to their Residence on Fangxing Mountain from Fangcun Mountain, they happened to encounter Classmate Shen Mu also returning from training in the mountains.
Yingzhou and Huacai were surprised that Bai Feng had other guests here, so they politely greeted Classmate Shen Mu. Classmate Shen Mu also politely responded to the two older sisters.
However, both Yingzhou and Shenmu had relatively quiet and reserved natures, while Huacai was not very willing to talk much with a ten-year-old boy. After exchanging greetings, there was no further interaction between the three.
Seeing that it was getting late, Classmate Shen Mu said goodbye to Bai Feng and went straight Home. Yingzhou and Huacai were also sent back to the Pokémon Center in the West District by Bai Feng shortly after.
After returning from the Pokémon Center, Bai Feng went to Helioptile's Room to check on Buneary. Buneary was sleeping soundly on Helioptile's small bed, breathing deeply and with a peaceful and serene expression. It looked like it was no longer in serious danger.
Helioptile was guarding it and had also fallen asleep.
Seeing this, Bai Feng did not disturb them and quietly left the Room.
"Shana~" How is Buneary doing?
Just then, Bai Ye also came to check on the situation. Seeing Bai Feng come out of the Room, she asked softly.
After closing the door, Bai Feng replied softly, "It's sleeping. There shouldn't be any major problems. Helioptile is also asleep, it must be tired. Let's wake them up when it's time for dinner."
Bai Ye nodded, then went to the Kitchen with Bai Feng to make dinner.
After eating dinner, Caicaizi and the other children wanted to return to the Blue Bird Orphanage, so Bai Feng had to personally take them back.
By the time Bai Feng returned from the Orphanage, it was completely dark. Just then, Buneary also woke up, so Bai Feng entered the Room, intending to ask it what exactly happened during the day.
He had already asked Helioptile during dinner, but Helioptile didn't know either.
That morning, Helioptile went to play with Buneary with berries as usual, but when it arrived at Buneary's Residence, it found the place empty.
At first, Helioptile didn't think much of it, assuming Buneary had gone out to find food. So, it waited for Buneary to return in the tree hollow where Buneary lived.
But Helioptile waited and waited, and Buneary didn't come Home. Only then did it realize something was wrong, and it quickly went out to search.
Helioptile searched all the places it usually played with Buneary, but still couldn't find any trace of Buneary. It became increasingly anxious.
Just then, a Vivillon flew over and said it had seen Buneary in the Mountain Valley ahead, and that Buneary seemed to be injured.
This Vivillon had previously received assistance from Helioptile and Buneary, so when it discovered Buneary was injured, it immediately flew to inform Helioptile.
Led by the Vivillon, Helioptile indeed found the injured Buneary in the Mountain Valley. By the time it arrived, Buneary had already lost consciousness.
Helioptile was scared half to death at the time. Without a second thought, it immediately carried Buneary on its back and ran wildly towards Home, hoping Bai Feng could save Buneary.
Fortunately, the treatment was timely, and Buneary was safe and sound. However, how Buneary got injured was unknown to Helioptile; it found nothing else in the Mountain Valley where Buneary was hurt.
"Buneary, are you feeling better?" Bai Feng asked after entering the Room.
"Mimi~ Mimi~" I'm fine now, thank you for saving me.
Buneary had woken up earlier and naturally knew that it was thanks to Bai Feng's rescue that it was safe.
Bai Feng waved his hand and said, "It's nothing. You're Helioptile's good friend. If you were in danger, there's no reason I would stand by and do nothing."
Hearing this, Buneary immediately hugged Helioptile's neck with a moved expression, affectionately rubbing its cheek against Helioptile's cheek.
Helioptile greatly enjoyed Buneary's closeness and responded by snuggling back.
Bai Feng thought to himself: Am I, at such a young age, going to have to endure this much affection that I shouldn't have to endure? But you two seem to have reproductive isolation, is this really okay?
After the two little ones finished their affectionate display, Bai Feng continued to ask with a straight face, "Buneary, what happened with your injury? I remember there don't seem to be any fierce Pokémon nearby anymore."
There used to be one or two, but ever since Talonflame Captain started patrolling the area with the others every day, the fierce Pokémon near Fangcun Mountain had all moved away, leaving behind only harmless Pokémon like Buneary.
Of course, those fierce Pokémon had all competed with the Talonflame patrol before moving, and all of them had failed, otherwise, they wouldn't have moved so readily.
"Mimi~ Mimi~ Mimi~ Milu~"
Hearing Bai Feng's question, Buneary slowly recounted the events of its injury.
In the morning, it had indeed gone out to look for food, just as Helioptile had guessed. In this season, food in the mountains was quite abundant, and Buneary found a few fruits not long after going out.
Although the fruits were small and not as delicious as the berries Helioptile usually gave it, for Buneary, they were already good enough to fill its stomach.
The weaker a Pokémon is, the harder it is to survive in the Wilds, not only because food is difficult to obtain, but also because sometimes even if they find food, it will be snatched away by stronger Pokémon.
Before meeting Helioptile, Buneary lived that kind of life. The reason it came to know Helioptile was because one time, when it was being bullied by a strong Pokémon, it happened to be saved by a passing Helioptile.
After finding food, Buneary planned to go Home, but when passing a Mountain Valley, it suddenly saw a group of cute Pokémon flying around inside.
That group of Pokémon was having a lot of fun in the valley, which made Buneary want to join them. But before Buneary could get close to the group of Pokémon, it saw a fierce Pokémon not far away staring at the group of Pokémon in the valley with fierce eyes.
Buneary was startled by the look and involuntarily cried out, which attracted the attention of the group of Pokémon in the valley, causing them to scatter and flee in fright.
Perhaps resenting Buneary for scaring away its targets, the fierce Pokémon injured Buneary, and then chased after the Pokémon that had been startled away.
Buneary didn't know what happened after that.
After listening to Buneary's description, Bai Feng fell into thought. The Pokémon it mentioned didn't seem to be native residents of this area; they should all be outsiders.
Buneary hadn't seen those Pokémon before, so it couldn't name them.
"Buneary, describe the appearances of those two kinds of Pokémon to me carefully," Bai Feng said after thinking for a moment.
"Milu~ Milu~"
Buneary nodded and began to describe the appearances of the two kinds of Pokémon based on its memory.
After Buneary finished describing, a look of surprise suddenly appeared on Bai Feng's face. If the Pokémon Buneary was talking about were indeed the ones he thought they were, that would be great! He was currently managing an Orchard and needed exactly this kind of Pokémon to assist him!
However, it was already late, and it wasn't good to go out again. He would wait until tomorrow to go and see. He hoped those Pokémon hadn't left the vicinity yet.
"Buneary, you rest well. Don't worry about anything else," Bai Feng said to Buneary after learning what he wanted to know. Then he instructed Helioptile, "Helioptile, take good care of Buneary. If you need anything, tell Bai Ye."
"Aip~ Aip~"
Helioptile hugged Bai Feng's calf and rubbed its head against his thigh, expressing its gratitude and closeness to Bai Feng.
The night passed in a flash. Bai Feng went to see Buneary first thing in the morning. Its injuries had recovered very well, and it could already walk around. Pokémon's physical fitness was indeed amazing; it was clearly on the verge of death yesterday.
After eating breakfast, Bai Feng told Bai Ye and then took Brionne and rode Talonflame Captain down the mountain himself.
He was going to see if the Pokémon Buneary described yesterday were the kind he suspected. If they were, he would catch them all.
Brionne secretly rejoiced in its heart at Bai Feng's action of leaving Helioptile and Bai Ye behind and only taking it out. It was indeed Bai Feng's most beloved Pokémon.
Talonflame Captain's speed was very fast. In a short while, Bai Feng arrived at the Mountain Valley Buneary had described. The valley was not far from Fangxing Mountain. It was filled with blooming flowers and had beautiful scenery. It was indeed a rare and good place.
"Captain, let's go down and take a look!" Bai Feng patted Talonflame Captain's neck and said.
"Yaro~"
Talonflame Captain nodded, then flapped its wings and slowly descended, stopping in the center of the valley.
Bai Feng dismounted from Talonflame Captain's back and carefully surveyed the surroundings, but he didn't see any unfamiliar Pokémon here. There were a few Scatterbug and Vivillon, but these were local residents.
"Could they have already left?" Bai Feng muttered.
Bai Feng then walked around the valley again, but still found no trace of unfamiliar Pokémon. However, he was unwilling to give up, so he said to Talonflame Captain:
"Captain, search from the air. If you find any unfamiliar Pokémon, report back to me immediately."
"Yaro~"
Talonflame Captain responded, then spread its wings and soared high, using its excellent eyesight to survey the surrounding situation from the air.
Bai Feng took Brionne and continued searching in one direction. He also inquired with the wild Pokémon in the valley, but unfortunately, they hadn't seen the Pokémon Buneary mentioned.
"Yaro~ Yaro~ Yaro~"
After a while, Talonflame Captain suddenly descended from the air to Bai Feng's side, excitedly telling Bai Feng something.
Bai Feng's brows furrowed after listening: "You mean there are traces left by humans nearby?"
"Yaro~ Yaro~"
Talonflame Captain nodded repeatedly.
It seems things are not simple! That person might also be here for the Pokémon that appeared in the valley, after all, that kind of Pokémon is quite rare. He just didn't know if that person had succeeded. If they had, then he would have to give up.
"Take me to see," Bai Feng said, getting back on Talonflame Captain's back.
"Yaro~"
Talonflame Captain nodded, carrying Bai Feng and flying towards the location it had discovered. In a short while, they arrived at their destination.
This was below a Mountain Wall. There were obvious bonfire traces on the ground, as well as marks left by a tent. Even the plastic packaging from food hadn't been cleaned up.
How thoughtless! Don't they know to take away the trash they created? Bai Feng silently complained in his heart, then picked up the trash bags and put them into his Space Backpack.
There was no one here anymore, but the traces were clearly left just last night.
"Sirai~ Sirai~"
Just then, Brionne suddenly pointed at the ground not far away and called out. Bai Feng walked over to take a look and saw that they were wheel marks.
The ground in the mountains was relatively damp and soft, so a vehicle would inevitably leave marks after driving through.
Seeing these marks, Bai Feng frowned again. This didn't quite seem like adventurers. It seemed rare for any adventurer to drive a car into the mountains to catch Pokémon, right?
The wheel marks were still very fresh, indicating that the vehicle had only just left a short while ago. And judging from the wheel marks, the person was probably driving a truck.
What kind of Adventurer or Pokémon Trainer would drive out in a truck?
"Let's follow the wheel marks and see."
"Sirai~"
"Yaro~"
The two Pokémon nodded in agreement.
Bai Feng took the two Pokémon and followed the vehicle tracks all the way. After about twenty minutes, they saw the truck on a clear Grassland.
Because he didn't know the situation, Bai Feng quickly recalled the larger Talonflame Captain into its Poké Ball, then hid in the grass with Brionne.
"Labe~ Labe~"
"Labe~ Labe~"
...
Bai Feng observed the truck through the gaps in the grass. He saw iron cages placed in the truck bed, and each iron cage held a Flabébé.
Just as Bai Feng had guessed, the Pokémon that appeared in the valley were indeed Flabébé.
Now Bai Feng suspected that the fierce Pokémon that injured Buneary was not wild, but belonged to the owner of this truck.
Flabébé are a very special kind of Pokémon. Their appearance is like a cute flower spirit. Their racial talent is being able to guide the mysterious power contained in flowers and obtain power from flowers.
While obtaining power, Flabébé also share a part of their power with the flowers, allowing the flowering plants to grow more vigorously.
This ability continuously strengthens as they Evolve. By the time they Evolve into their final form, Florges, this talent ability is fully unleashed. Every Florges has the title of "Garden Queen".
It is said that in ancient times in the Kalos Region, Florges were a highly respected Pokémon. Castle masters would often solemnly invite them to build Gardens for them. If a lord could have a Garden built by a Florges, that would be a very prestigious matter.
Unfortunately, Flabébé are not easy to encounter because they do not live in one place for long periods. Instead, they travel to various places with the seasonal winds until they Evolve into Florges and stop their journey.
But the Flabébé that can Evolve into Florges are very few.
If Bai Feng could catch a group of Flabébé and cultivate them into Florges, his Orchard would surely flourish under the care of the Florges.
The Flabébé in the cages were angrily hitting the iron cages, but the cages were very sturdy, and they could not break them open.
