Chapter 11 – No Kiss, No Rest, Just More Event

It was… awkward. Really awkward. But standing half-naked in the aftermath of a slime battle wasn't exactly the time for proper etiquette. With both of them in various states of undress and the risk of someone stumbling upon them and mistaking this whole scene for public indecency, they made the smart choice to retreat.

Back at Ryouko's mansion, the outside still looked like a symbol of elegance and wealth—but inside, it was a different story. Scorched walls, broken furniture, and scattered remnants of their earlier escape painted a messy picture of chaos.

"You can wear these," Ryouko said, tossing a fresh set of clothes to Haruno as she casually slipped into her own without much fuss. "We should get moving. If they tracked us once, they'll probably do it again. My escape route's already blown. Going back there is just asking for trouble."

Haruno nodded, pulling on the clothes a few steps away. Though the embarrassment still lingered, after what they'd seen of each other in that slime mess, modesty took a back seat to practicality.

Oddly enough, it felt… natural now, being near her. Even if danger still loomed, being together like this made it a little easier to breathe.

"So… where are we going now?" Haruno asked, tugging at the borrowed clothes as they stepped out into the night.

Ryouko tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Well, I don't have a solid plan yet. But for now, putting some distance between us and this place is a start. Maybe a busy fast food joint—somewhere public, noisy, where they'd think twice before pulling anything."

"That's… smart," Haruno admitted. "But if it's just for tonight, why don't we stay at my place?"

Ryouko blinked. "Your house? I can't just drag my trouble into someone's home, Haruno. What if—"

"You don't have to worry," he interrupted quickly. "My parents are working overseas. I live alone in our family apartment, and no one outside school even knows where it is. If your enemies already found your hideout, wouldn't that make my place safer?"

She paused, considering it. "Hmm… that actually makes sense." But her eyes narrowed slightly. "Still, if they do find us, I'd hate to drag you into even more danger."

"You already have," Haruno said with a half-smile. "So you might as well let me do the same."

Ryouko chuckled softly, shaking her head. "You're a trouble magnet, you know that?" But deep down, she found his offer oddly comforting.

"Alright. But just so you know… you still haven't claimed your reward."

Haruno blinked. "Reward?"

"For saving a damsel in distress." She leaned in slightly with a mischievous grin. "Don't worry, I haven't forgotten."

Haruno's face turned red instantly. "W-We'll talk about that later!"

Ryouko chuckled. "Looking forward to it."

"Well, yeah… I mean, it is a kiss from you, Sensei." Haruno's face turned red as he replied honestly, his voice soft but sincere.

That honesty made Ryouko pause—and then smile. A blush warmed her cheeks, but her teasing nature quickly took over. She leaned in, wrapping her arms around him with ease, lips curling into a grin.

"Is that so? You sure you're okay kissing an alien... and an older woman like me?" she whispered playfully into his ear.

Haruno flinched slightly at the ticklish breath on his skin, but his eyes lit up with unshakable resolve. "What are you even saying, Sensei!? That's the best part of all this! I mean, come on—why else would I go so far?"

Ryouko couldn't help but giggle at his shameless enthusiasm. "Ara... you're seriously adorable." Her gaze softened as she looked into his shining eyes, reflecting both courage and admiration. "Well then... you can expect something very nice at your place later."

"Sensei…" he murmured, caught in the moment as the world seemed to slow, the two of them lost in each other's eyes beneath the fading twilight.

Then—

Grrrrrrooooowl.

Haruno's stomach loudly protested, breaking the mood in an instant.

Ryouko chuckled, her laughter light and teasing. "Looks like someone's hungrier for food than for a kiss."

"Sensei…" Haruno mumbled, clearly embarrassed.

"Well then, how about this—I'll treat you to something delicious. But let's head to your place first. I'll order once we get there," Ryouko said with a warm smile, still clinging to his arm without a hint of hesitation.

Her arm wrapped tightly around his, and Haruno could clearly feel the soft, bouncy sensation of her adult curves pressing against him. They were practically the same height, which made it easy—far too easy—for him to admire her face up close. Her shoulder-length brown hair swayed gently with each step, catching the glow of the streetlights. The longer he looked, the more stunning she seemed—elegant, mature, and effortlessly beautiful.

And then there was her scent.

Sweet. Subtle. Addictive.

He couldn't even describe it properly, only that it made his heart race and his mind wander places he wasn't ready to admit aloud.

'I always thought manga and anime overplayed stuff like this,' he thought as he tried to keep his cool. 'But wow… this is real. And she really smells that good.' As He remember some of the protagonists responded when those heroines came close to them.

It felt surreal, like walking through a dream that had come to life. His wishes started to be fruitful.

Before long, the two arrived at the Aizawa family apartment—a modest, middle-class unit nestled in a quiet residential building. The entrance was simple, with a small genkan where shoes were neatly placed to the side. Beyond that, the space opened into a cozy combined living, dining, and kitchen area, filled with the warm signs of everyday life. A small sofa faced a modest TV, and the dining table nearby had just enough space for three. The kitchen, though compact, was clean and well-kept, clearly used often but cared for.

There were two bedrooms—one that belonged to his parents, left mostly untouched during their time abroad, and Haruno's own room, which he had kept surprisingly tidy. Posters of old anime and a few figurines lined his shelves, giving away his hobbies instantly. It wasn't anything extravagant, but it was homey, peaceful… and now, for the first time, it felt strangely intimate, with Ryouko walking in beside him.

"You really do live alone, huh…" Ryouko murmured as she glanced around the apartment, tapping on her phone to order food.

"Yeah," Haruno nodded, his voice quiet. "That's why… I'm kinda happy you're here. When my parents were around, this place felt cramped. But living alone, it just feels… too big."

Ryouko paused, glancing at him with a soft expression. She could hear the hint of loneliness in his voice. "Haruno-kun… when all of this is over, I'll come visit from time to time. That okay?"

His eyes lit up instantly. "Eh? Really!? You're not just saying that, right?"

She smiled warmly. "Of course not. But for now, we should rest. How about a bath while we wait for the food?"

"Ah, right! I'll get it ready. Are you… gonna take a bath too, Ryouko-sensei?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Hmm? What, are you saying we should bathe together?"

Haruno, flustered but sincere, blurted out, "Eh… we can!?"

Ryouko's cheeks flushed slightly, then she let out a soft laugh. "Ara ara~ I didn't expect you to say that so honestly. But no, I'll wait my turn. I'm not that bold… yet."

"That's too bad..." Haruno muttered with a small pout as he headed into the bathroom, leaving Ryouko standing alone in the quiet apartment.

She let out a long sigh, brushing a hand through her hair—only for her composed expression to crack the moment the bathroom door closed. Her cheeks flushed bright red in an instant.

"Geez… that boy is way too honest. It makes him dangerously cute," she muttered under her breath, pacing a little. "If I didn't keep myself in check, I might've already pushed him down and—ugh, what am I thinking!?"

Her mind wandered despite her better judgment, recalling the exact moment the suit burst apart and revealed more of Haruno than she ever expected to see. She fanned her burning face. "I mean… it wasn't monstrous like some aliens I've seen. Actually, kind of… above average for an Earthling."

She groaned and collapsed onto the couch. "What am I doing? He's still just a teenage boy... and I'm thinking like some desperate woman."

A long pause.

"…Am I sexually frustrated or something?"

While that was happening in the living room, Haruno was preparing the bath. After everything that had happened in just two chaotic days—being attacked, unlocking weird love-powered strength, and seeing his health teacher nearly naked—he felt like he really deserved a long, relaxing soak.

The moment he sank into the hot water, a wave of relief washed over him. His tired muscles relaxed, and the heat helped soothe the lingering tension from the adrenaline rush earlier.

"Ah… this is the life," Haruno muttered, letting his head rest back against the tub. "Finally, some peace and quiet."

But then—blub, blub…

A single bubble floated to the surface.

Haruno blinked.

"…No way," he whispered. But deep down, he knew. He was in the To Love-Ru world, after all. That kind of bubble only meant one thing.

And sure enough, with a loud BOOOM!, water exploded from the center of the tub, splashing across the entire bathroom. Haruno flailed as something burst upward from beneath the water in a sudden flash of light.

A voice rang out cheerfully, "Mmm~ Escape successful!"

A soaking-wet figure stood triumphantly in the middle of the ruined bathroom, steam swirling around them like an entrance scene straight out of a gag manga.

Haruno stared, stunned. "…I haven't even gotten my reward yet."

Peace? Rest? A kiss?

Apparently, none of those were scheduled anytime soon.
