Chapter 21: “Wait... I Remember”

As I stared at the fox, something inside me clicked. The memories

that had been locked away, buried deep, suddenly rushed back to

me.

Vaylora. Kyuu. The Cloak. The battles, the crazy adventures, the

weirdness of it all. My chest tightened as flashes of the world I had

left behind returned.

But then it hit me. I had forgotten it all. All of it.

I didn't remember the how or the why, but somewhere along the way,

I had lost my memories of Vaylora. The world, the people I had met,

all the moments that had meant something—gone.

Yet, as I looked at the fox, I realized it wasn't random. The mark. The

familiarity. It was like the universe was giving me a second chance to

piece everything back together.

I had been returned to Earth, and with it, the memories of Vaylora

had faded. But somehow, the mark, the bond, was still there, buried

deep inside. I couldn't explain it.

I watched the fox blink up at me, and in its eyes, I saw something. A

glimmer of recognition, even though it didn't know me. I could feel

the pull of everything we had been through.

But I didn't have the memories. I didn't have the answers.

Then it started with a whisper.

A flicker in the back of my mind. Then flashes—clouds swirling, the

Cloak, Raizen's brooding, Allie's cookies, Glitch Daddy yelling

something from a cloud.

Kyuu smiling.

The memories rushed in like a dam breaking. My body froze. My

eyes locked onto hers.

She looked up, tail twitching... knowingly.

I collapsed to the floor, breath shaky.

"I remember-"

Fade to black.
