Third Prince

Walking through the city, Lu Xiaofeng bought his kids lots of food and drinks, but Lu Ling'er wasn't very happy.

"Dad, can you take us to the academy? It's boring just walking around and eating."

Lu Xiaofeng was momentarily stunned, and looked at his two other children.

The two shrugged their shoulders. They didn't really care where they went, they just wanted to enjoy the time off from training. 

"I can take you to the outside area of the academy, but I can't take you there directly until the open ceremony in three days. Don't be disappointed when you arrive though, as the academy is separated by water, and the only way to enter it is by the main bridge or flying over, but flying over would activate the defense barrier, so don't do that." 

Lu Ling'er nodded her head vigorously. 

Seeing her so happy, he shocked his head and let out a low chuckle.

"Well, let's start heading south." 

Lu Xiaofeng turned around and started walking. The three of them ran up behind him, keeping his pace. It took no more than twenty minutes to arrive at the sea, and compared to the main part of the city, it is even more populated here as people bathed on the beach and pointed at the distant island in the background that had huge stone walls. 

If you look at some parts of the wall, you'd see giant banners that cascaded the walls that had the Heavenly dipped empire's symbol on it.

As the four of them arrived at the beach, Lu Feng'er jumped on the warm sand and stood close by the water as she took in the long view of the academy.

"How is it? Not much to see here, huh." 

Lu Feng'er snorted at his words and pointed at the academy.

"That place will be my territory in the future, how can I not like it?"

Lu Xiaofeng was stunned, not only him, Lu Fin and Lu Renshu were equally as stunned as their father. They knew that their sister was the strong type, but they didn't think she'd be so arrogant that she'd claim the royal academy would be hers one day. 

Unlike the two children who stayed in shock, Lu Xiaofeng laughed out loud at his daughter's words.

"What? You don't believe me?" Lu Feng'er snorted at her father.

"No, no, no. It is indeed possible. Especially since…" Lu Xiaofeng didn't continue, but his eyes narrowed slightly.

As for the people around them, they simply thought that they were just a bunch of lunatics. 

"Huh? Is that the Third Prince?" One of the people on the beach muttered to their partner, but due to Lu Xiaofeng's extraordinary hearing, he heard their words.

'The Third Prince? What is Shui Wei doing here? Isn't the opening for the academy in three days.' Lu Xiaofeng started to question himself.

The third prince, his brother-in-law who doesn't know that he has a brother-in-law, is supposed to be this year's academy speaker for all the new students. Really, it's just a trick to scout out some of the more talented people from the eleven other princes. Of course you also have the seven princesses, but they can't inherit the throne, so none of the princes really see them as a threat. Some who are from the same mother might actually marry them off for more power. Luckily the third prince isn't like that with his wife, well he doesn't really have a choice…

As he was lost in thought, the third prince came up to Lu Xiaofeng and his three children with a smile on his face.

"I've seen the Third Prince." Lu Xiaofeng bowed politely, and his three children quickly followed their fathers action.

"Xiaofeng, there's no need to be so formal. You and my sister have been building the Crystal Sea sect which has also increased my strength in the royal family." Shui Wei said politely, and turned his eyes to his children.

"So the rumours are true. You really have a golden fish in your backyard." He chuckled, "How old are they?"

"They're fifteen this year. I've been training them for the past six years." Lu Xiaofeng said, not hiding anything.

"So they've awakened their Marital Spirits, yes?" Shui Wei let out a slight chuckle, and looked at the three curiously. 

"They have." Lu Xiaofeng said, nodding his head.

Shui Wei's eyes narrowed and looked at the three children and back at Lu Xiaofeng. He doesn't know why, but two of them faintly resemble someone else other than Lu Xiaofeng. 

"What's their Martial Spirits? And who's their mother?" 

Lu Xiaofeng looked around the area and then shook his head.

"I won't tell you, but in three days all these mysteries will be solved, and by then, the way you address me will change." Saying that, he gave Shui Wei a big smile.

Seeing Lu Xiaofeng smile, Shui Wei felt a little flabbergasted at his words but nodded.

"Say, you shouldn't be here unless you were looking for something right? And that something is me?"

Shui Wei nodded.

"Hmm, I need some help with the upcoming ceremony." He said embarrassly, and fondled his fingers.

Lu Xiaofeng looked at him speechlessly, and all of his gentle polite noble aura seemed to wash off him at this moment.

"Look, don't look at me like that, ok!" He said, grabbing Lu Xiaofeng's shoulders, "Do you know how hard it is for me to keep this act? I have to let my sister do everything for me! I hate crowds. Especially when everyone is looking at me, it makes me want to become a water turtle and jump into the seas!" 

Looking at the Third Prince's mental breakdown, he hurried to put up a barrier that blocked all sound.

"Did your sister force you to do this?" He said helplessly. He had a rough idea what his wife was planning.

"Umhum! Yes! It's all her fault! You two are close right? Can you convince her please?" He begged.

"Stop behaving like this, my barrier only blocks out sound, not vision." 

Shui Wei quickly nodded his head and brushed his clothes and looked at Lu Xiaofeng with some puppy eyes.
