Aaron Graves, a 30-something Warhammer hobbyist and online lore-debater, dies tragically (and stupidly) after knocking over a can of LPG while angrily typing a reply in a Trench Crusade fan thread. He dies mid-rant, mini brush still in hand.

But instead of oblivion, he awakens in the middle of a mud-choked battlefield, face down in a trench. His first memory is a line of chanting zealots walking past with incense lanterns, their faces hidden by gas masks. A corpse beside him is whispering prayers to a god he's never heard of.

He’s been transmigrated, body and soul—into the Trench Crusade universe. Only now… he’s not just a man.

He is deemed a living relic by those around him, a “Saint-Born,” a vessel of prophecy who emerged from the smoke of a holy fire.

Unfortunately, he has zero combat experience, can't stop referencing forum memes, and his only true skill is detailed knowledge of fake lore and painting miniatures. But it turns out… that knowledge might not be so fake after all.

Trench Crusade: WARHAMMERS SAINT BORN

Hi everyone! Zombeater here — the author.

So quick heads-up: I realized I may have dived a little too deep into the lore recently, especially around the Hell and Court of the Seven-Headed Serpent stuff.

After thinking it over, I decided that Chapter 21 (and some of the deeper drafts tied to it) are scrapped for now.

Not because I don't love that direction—but because I want to keep the story accessible to everyone, including new readers just discovering Trench Crusade.

If you saw Chapter 21 before it vanished—don't worry, you didn't hallucinate. It was just Hell creeping up on you. 😅

Going forward, I'll still weave in lore, but I'll ease it out naturally instead of throwing everyone into the deep end without a relic-torch.
