Serena's POV.
The early morning sun pierced through my eyelids, making me groan. I tossed and turned, desperate to escape the harsh light.
"Drop the curtains!" I muttered, but my voice was met with silence.
I reached out with my hands, searching the bed for Ross, but he was nowhere to be found. My eyes snapped open, and I rubbed them, trying to shake off the haze.
"Ross! Ross!" I called out, but there was no response.
A sigh escaped my lips as I realized I had slept through the day. How could Ross just leave me without a word? I picked up my phone, only to remember that I didn't even have his contact information.
A hiss of frustration escaped my lips as I stood up, and a sharp pain shot through me, reminding me of last night's passion. Memories came flooding back, and I felt a mix of emotions: confused, happy, and longing.
I was supposed to be pushing Ross away, not falling for him. But Ava's words echoed in my mind: "I love him, the way he makes me feel."
