After making sure you know how to reach the site and return, you hitchhike up to the Veterans Hospital. From there you head into the woods.

In less than five minutes, civilization is just gone. You can't even hear trucks. The air is cold and clear, scented with pine and the faint musk of distant animals. You take your time and try to ignore the bitter cold as you crunch through the snow. Walking for hours, you scan for signs of former habitation without much luck. By midday, your only discoveries are a few tires and a scratch on a rock that might be a faded Garou glyph.
