Before coming to Thailand, I read a lot online about the chaotic environment in Northern Myanmar.
Scam operations, pig-butchering scams, captivity, organ trade... lawlessness and darkness.
I definitely wouldn't go to Northern Myanmar, but I never expected to have the same experience in Thailand!
I was dragged out of the city by a van and endured bumps for two hours until we reached a place resembling a small town.
The small town wasn't a tourist area, it looked desolate, and there was no sign of pedestrians, only one factory district after another surrounded by barbed wire.
There were towers around the factory district with armed guards patrolling.
I was brought into one of these factory districts.
This was the stronghold of the underground gambling syndicate.
