"去购物吧.如果你想要什么,就用我的卡.我完成工作后会和你一起,"他说,把他的名片递给她.

宋元二言不发地接过卡片,离开了办公室.

Shen Yuwan couldn't bear to listen any longer. She covered her face and ran to the restroom in the hospital.

Sitting on the floor, she quietly sobbed. Her mind kept replaying the image of her father in the hospital room and Gu Qianyun's cold face.

"Yiyao, there's still work to be done at the company. You go check on Dad. I'll go tomorrow evening," Shen Yuwan typed a quick message to her sister.

"Okay, sis. I've already arrived at the hospital. Dad's doing well today. Sis, once you're done, head home early. Take care," came Yiyao's reply, along with a big heart emoji.

Seeing the message, Shen Yuwan wiped her tears and left the restroom.

The street was nearly empty in the evening, with just a few people passing by. As Shen Yuwan entered a narrow alley, she started hearing faint footsteps behind her.

She quickly turned around, but no one was there.

Walking faster now, she noticed an empty can on the ground, her footsteps light as she carefully avoided stepping on it.

Suddenly, the sound of someone stepping on the can echoed in the quiet alley, and Shen Yuwan immediately turned around.

This time, she clearly saw a shadowy figure.

"You had someone follow me," Shen Yuwan said, her voice trembling as she immediately dialed Gu Qianyun's number.
