Attack In The Night 4

Erlick sat at the edge of the ravine he created, one that stretched hundreds of meters with a width of 10 meters.

At the bottom of the ravine lay a bloody figure—Ais Wallenstein, the Sword Princess. She had multiple wounds and a critical injury on her chest.

Erlick reached for a potion hidden under his clothes and threw it at the Sword Princess's head. Upon impact, the potion shattered, and its contents spilled all over her face.

Her wounds began to heal little by little, stabilizing her condition as time passed.

Erlick watched the stars quietly, waiting for someone. After a few minutes, a figure landed beside him.

"You defeated her faster than intended," the figure said in a sultry voice.

"Yeah," Erlick replied dismissively.

"Boss said you need to hold the fort for the time being while we escape. Use your life if necessary," the figure added.

Erlick didn't flinch or react to the order. "Is it time?"

The figure responded, "This is your chance to fully repay your death. If you survive this, you'll be a free man."

Erlick chuckled at her words. "That old fox is as cruel as ever, huh? Whatever. My family will be free."

"Where are we going to put your family?" the figure asked.

"Elsura City," Erlick said, pulling out his phone and tapping something on it.

"Oh, that city—where a Blue Pegasus Guild branch resides?" the figure asked calmly. But if one listened closely, there was a hint of fear and anger in her voice, which Erlick noticed.

He chuckled and said, "I happen to be friends with the current Branch Master there, so I asked him a favor. If you don't send my family there safe and sound, Blue Pegasus will personally wipe all of you off the face of the earth—including the gods in your organization. You'll cease to exist—completely and truly dead for good."

"Are you threatening us?" the figure asked, shaking with rage.

"No. I'm just reminding you. You have three days to fulfill what I said before those incomprehensibly powerful beings come knocking at your doors," Erlick replied calmly.

The figure trembled in terror, imagining Erlick's words. In her mind, an unimaginably massive spaceship shaped like a Pegasus appeared in the sky. It dwarfed their planet, treating it like an ant.

The figure gulped a mouthful of saliva nervously.

Erlick noticed this, which made him smile.

The figure took a deep breath and forcibly calmed herself. "I'll pass your words to the leader."

Erlick nodded.

"By the way, hurry up and take her away. They're coming. It would be a pain if you're still here," Erlick said.

The figure nodded and jumped down, picking up Ais like a sack of potatoes. She leapt again and landed near a carriage not far away—drawn by direwolves.

"Good luck, and see you in hell!"

With a command, the direwolves stood and sped off, pulling the carriage into the distance.

Erlick watched the carriage disappear with calm eyes, then suddenly spoke into the air.

"I know that you're there. Come out," Erlick said, eyes still fixed on the carriage.

Three murderous gazes locked onto him. He turned and met their eyes.

"The twin Amazonesses and the Wolf of Loki Familia, huh? What an honor," Erlick said casually, crouching with his hand on the hilt of his sword.

"Shut up, trash. Where is Ais?" Bete growled, his murderous aura rising by the second.

"I thought you saw it, but based on this brat's reaction, I assume you didn't. Am I right?" Erlick asked, ignoring Bete and speaking directly to Tiona.

Tiona's carefree demeanor was gone, replaced by a calmness akin to a still lake—one that, if disturbed, would unleash a crisis.

"Stop talking, Bete. It's useless. We'll interrogate him after we catch him," Tiona said.

With that, the trio dashed forward, launching their attacks.

Erlick dashed as well, meeting them in the middle.

Bete attacked with a kick, while Tiona and Tione slashed with their weapons, releasing two slashes that rushed toward him.

Erlick dodged all their attacks by a hair's breadth.

Bete rushed forward, using his momentum to perform a powerful downward spin kick. Erlick, with a relaxed posture, stepped aside, dodging the attack with minimal movement—Bete's kick passing inches from him.

As soon as he dodged, another attack came—a massive greatsword flying like a windmill. Erlick reached out and caught the sword by its hilt.

"How is that possible!" Tiona shouted in shock.

Erlick smiled. "Thank you."

Using the momentum of the thrown sword, he slashed at Bete, aiming for his neck. Bete gritted his teeth and twisted his body to dodge, losing balance in mid-air and crashing hard into the ground.

Tione charged after Bete's fall, attacking from the rear and aiming for Erlick's heart.

Erlick noticed with his Observation Magic and dodged, but that was exactly what Tione aimed for. The moment he moved, she kicked the ground and spun her body, repositioning midair. She slashed downward, releasing a sword wave made of concentrated wind and the shockwave generated from the kinetic force of her swing. This attack was pure strength and swordsmanship.

The huge slash rushed toward Erlick rapidly, growing in size the farther it traveled. Erlick responded with a slash of his own—imbued with Blood Intent.

His slash was tainted with the color of his Blood Intent.

Each person's Blood Intent has a unique color.

Erlick's Blood Intent color was Red.

The red slash shot out and intercepted Tione's slash.

Upon impact, a massive energy clash generated a powerful explosion that flattened an entire street.

Twilight Manor

"All enemies are wiped," Gareth reported.

Finn nodded after receiving the report, but he still didn't relax—same as Gareth.

"Take care of things here. I'll be heading out."

"Okay. Be careful—that Blood Intent earlier was no joke."

"I will." Finn vanished from where he stood, rushing eastward.

Gareth took out his phone and reported everything to their goddess, Loki. After the call, he began directing the cleanup effort.

Just as he was about to give the order, another wave of enemies revealed themselves—carrying bombs, magic swords, and stronger fighters leading them.

Gareth readied himself. With a single command, the Loki Familia braced for battle.

Their enemies charged like the undead, unafraid of death. Magic and arrows rained down, swords and shields clashed—the sound of war rang out once more.
