Chapter 2: Training (Part II: Nappa)

-Planet Vegeta, Royal Castle-

A new day was beginning on Planet Vegeta. In one of the castle's bedrooms, due to partially open curtains, the glow of the two suns filtered through, faintly illuminating the room—just enough to bother the only person inside, a woman who was sleeping peacefully while the rays of the twin suns fell across her face.

Squinting in annoyance because of the light, she slowly began to open her eyes, starting to wake up, yawning and gradually sitting up in bed, stretching to shake off the remaining drowsiness.

This person was Courgette, who was beginning yet another day in her training routine, except today was more special, as she would begin training against Nappa—one of the most powerful Saiyans, surpassed only by her father, King Vegeta, by Bardock, and by her own mother, Hanasia.

—(Finally! I'll finally get to face Nappa today!). — Courgette thought with excitement as she wore a smile of anticipation.

Saying she was eager to fight him was an understatement—she was ecstatic to finally have a much greater challenge than the Saibamen, who, although powerful, really weren't much at her current level, aside from being able to challenge her due to her inexperience.

It was also another step closer to something she didn't want to do: planetary conquest... But that was still a little further down the line, so she shouldn't torment herself too much with that for now, but rather be 100% ready both physically and mentally for her battle against Nappa—she had to be in top condition.

So she simply changed clothes, went to her bathroom to take care of her needs, took a shower, brushed her teeth, and finally headed to the cafeteria to eat. After finishing her meal, she made her way toward the training halls.

...

..

.

-Military Facility, Training Room-

In the same training field that Courgette had been frequenting to fight the Saibamen, two figures now stood facing each other—Nappa and Courgette.

Shortly after finishing her meal and heading to the training room, she found Nappa, who had arrived before her. The two simply exchanged a glance, with her giving a nod to signal she was ready to begin.

So they both calmly entered the room and stood face to face, analyzing each other and waiting to see who would make the first move.

It was Courgette who took the initiative, launching a punch aimed at Nappa's stomach, but he easily blocked the attack. However, this had been a feint—Courgette quickly followed with a powerful kick aimed at his head, intending to catch him off guard.

But it was useless. The muscular giant merely tilted his head back, the kick barely grazing his hair. He simply grabbed her leg and, pulling her toward him, momentarily threw her off balance. That brief moment was more than enough—Nappa took the opportunity to land a powerful punch to her chin, sending her crashing into the reinforced walls, shattering and crushing them into nothing but rubble. A cloud of dust burst out from the impact.

Courgette quickly recovered from the daze, leaping up and—displaying impressive agility—nimbly dodged a kick from Nappa that struck where she had just been, effortlessly smashing and cracking the floor with terrifying ease.

—(That was close!). — she thought, terrified, cold sweat running down her face. Had that kick connected, it would have caused significant damage.

Shaking her head quickly to clear her mind of doubts and unnecessary thoughts, she refocused on the nearly bald Goliath.

She then decisively launched herself at Nappa, unleashing a flurry of rapid punches and kicks at the Saiyan Army General, engaging in close combat. Nappa, however, simply dodged or blocked each and every blow. Occasionally, he would counter with attacks of his own.

In fact, both of their strikes were immensely powerful—so powerful that every punch or kick generated shockwaves and gusts of wind strong enough to shake and tear apart the massive reinforced chambers they passed through and battled in—chambers built to withstand attacks capable of pulverizing entire moons effortlessly. But now, they were being torn apart with ease by the two combatants, reduced to nothing but ruined rubble.

As the fight continued, both ignored the destruction around them, gradually raising their power even further, each deciding to get a little more serious.

The two Saiyans, leaving a sonic boom in their wake, moved around the vast room at speeds far beyond the speed of sound, leaving nothing but flashes and afterimages wherever they went—so fast that even the trained eye of Earth's greatest martial artist wouldn't be able to catch a glimpse, the result of the incredible speed with which these two warriors fought with masterful precision.

Momentarily separating from their hand-to-hand combat, the two quickly reengaged almost instantly. They clashed forearms, with Nappa swiftly throwing a right hook toward the face of the Saiyan princess. But with astonishing agility, she managed to dodge it and, using her tail, hooked it around Nappa's arm, swinging herself over it. Taking advantage of the momentum, she landed a kick on his cheek—so powerful it turned his head and sent him stumbling backward, dazed by the exchange.

Seizing the opportunity again, Courgette lunged at him, landing a powerful elbow to his stomach that made him double over, followed by a kick to the face that sent Nappa flying across the room. He crashed into another reinforced chamber, destroying it on impact and raising a massive cloud of dust and debris that darkened the princess's view. Yet she kept her eyes fixed on the direction Nappa had been sent.

With a burst of light, Nappa vaporized the rubble that had collapsed over him, emerging swiftly from the now-ruined room, completely unscathed by Courgette's earlier attacks.

— "Not bad, princess." — Nappa praised, brushing the dust from his armor, stretching his arms and shoulders a bit, and cracking his neck. — "But I hope you can keep up and are ready for more than just a warm-up." — he said with a grin.

Courgette returned his grin with a confident smirk of her own. — "Hmph. I can handle this and more, Nappa. This warm-up is nothing to me." — she scoffed, readying herself and tightening her stance, sensing Nappa's Ki beginning to rise.

Deciding to take the initiative this time, Nappa let out a battle cry and charged toward Courgette, reaching her in practically an instant. Completely caught off guard by his sudden and tremendous increase in speed, Courgette narrowly and instinctively dodged the attack at the last second.

Seeing his strike miss, Nappa didn't relent. He quickly raised his right leg as if preparing to kick a ball, launching a powerful kick at Courgette. She swiftly ducked to dodge it and, from the ground, attempted a leg sweep to destabilize the massive warrior.

But it was to no avail—her leg made contact with Nappa's and didn't budge it an inch, as if it were an immovable object. The only result was Courgette's leg going numb from the impact. Sensing the imminent danger, she quickly propelled herself backward, barely avoiding a punch that smashed into the ground, cracking and obliterating it completely, leaving behind nothing but a massive crater around them.

Nappa, seeing that she had managed to dodge his attack, didn't falter. He charged at her once more and, to Courgette's surprise, slammed a powerful kick into the ground. The stomp shattered the floor beneath them, sending tremors through the area and destabilizing Courgette, who lost her footing with no solid ground left to support herself.

Taking full advantage of her imbalance, Nappa drove a brutal knee into her stomach, lifting her off the fractured ground. Then, grabbing her by the tail, he began to slam her repeatedly into the floor with overwhelming force.

The powerful blow to her abdomen made Courgette choke and vomit a string of saliva. Being grabbed by the tail severely weakened her—as if a puppet's strings had been cut, her body went limp, each slam into the ground hitting harder due to her vulnerability, much like Hulk smashing Loki.

Wracked with pain but fiercely determined, she managed to break partially free from the giant's grip using the last remnants of her strength. She summoned just enough power to throw a desperate kick toward his face… but it didn't even faze Nappa.

Yet that was part of her plan. She had feigned an attack to distract him—the real goal was to jab her fingers into his eyes. And she succeeded.

Caught completely off guard, Nappa screamed in pain, momentarily stunned by the surprisingly effective move.

Seizing the chance, Courgette slipped free from his grasp and quickly put distance between them, gasping for air as she tried to recover, rubbing the areas of her body most battered from being slammed so violently against the ground.

With both fighters now regrouping, they began to get serious. Their auras flared to life, surging around them as they powered up, increasing their strength and intensity with each passing second.

The entire area trembled under the weight of their growing power. Cracks split through the floor and walls, destruction spreading from the sheer energy being released.

Then, with a thunderous battle cry, they lunged at one another—a small figure and a towering one clashing head-on, the contrast between them striking.

Their fists collided, releasing a massive shockwave that obliterated everything around them, reducing the entire surrounding area to rubble and ruins.

As both continued their relentless flurry of attacks, Nappa once again displayed a speed that seemed impossible for someone of his massive size. He suddenly positioned himself behind the Saiyan princess, raised both of his arms, and brought them down in a powerful hammer blow to Courgette's head, slamming her into the ground with brutal force. She bounced off the floor, only for Nappa to follow up with a devastating kick to her back, sending her flying toward one of the few structures still somehow standing.

Acting quickly, Courgette twisted her body mid-air and used the structure as a springboard, launching herself right back at Nappa with explosive momentum. As the building crumbled behind her, she closed the distance in an instant.

Catching him off guard, she landed a solid punch to his face, snapping his head back and making him stagger several steps away, retreating slightly as she landed gracefully on the ground.

The impact caused Nappa to bleed; stunned slightly by the blow, he felt a sharp sting in his nose. Bringing a finger to it, he noticed a thin stream of blood trickling down. He wiped it away with the back of his hand.

Realizing that she had made him bleed, rather than angering him, it only brought a thrilled grin to his face. Princess Courgette was truly powerful—and though neither of them was fighting at full strength, the fact that she had landed such a blow proved just how formidable she was. It stirred his fighting spirit.

Still, he knew they had to restrain themselves even more. While they had already destroyed the massive combat facilities, such damage was easily repairable in a day or two. And besides, this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.

But if their battle continued to escalate, the destruction could spread across Planet Vegeta itself—an outcome that would be catastrophic. Saiyans might have been considered savage, having destroyed their former homeworld in a massive war that rendered it completely uninhabitable, but that didn't mean they hadn't learned from their mistakes—at least somewhat. That's why they were now more mindful of preserving their current planet during battles, to avoid repeating history.

Generally, to test a Saiyan warrior's true limits, it's done during planetary invasions—or they simply head to an uninhabited planet and go all out there.

Right now, they were fighting with heavy restraint, and both were absorbing most of the damage from each other's blows—attacks that, to them, caused barely any real harm—rather than letting the environment take the brunt. That's why the destruction, while significant, was still somewhat contained. But if they kept this up and decided to fight for real, it would be an entirely different story.

This is something Nappa had already mentioned to Courgette before: that they would limit themselves to hand-to-hand combat. Even though their punches or kicks are just as powerful and destructive as energy blasts, they could contain most of the impact of these strikes, unlike a Ki attack.

But just looking around is enough to realize how destructive they are. Despite holding back their strength and absorbing most of the impact damage with their bodies, with a small fight – by their standards – they reduced the military installation to rubble. This facility is practically the size of a football stadium on Earth – probably bigger – a structure built to withstand attacks that, as mentioned before, are made to endure blows that could pulverize moons effortlessly.

But if they fought without holding back or absorbing the impact damage of their blows, for example, on Planet Earth, entire cities, or possibly the entire surface of the planet, would be completely destroyed/devastated just from fighting a bit seriously. Pretty much the same would happen here on Planet Vegeta.

That's the reason Nappa only wanted to train using a small portion of his power as a warm-up, to train and eliminate the weakness of his tail, as well as to learn the artificial moon technique, and then move on to invasions, where he would freely learn how to maintain control in his Ozaru form or be able to fight at 100% of his base form capacity without restrictions or concern for his surroundings.

– "Alright, that's enough for now, Princess Courgette." – Seeing that she wanted to continue the fight, Nappa stopped her, raising a hand as a sign that they should stop. Halting her immediately as she was preparing to keep fighting.

Courgette understood, this small fight was already more than enough and they shouldn't extend the combat any further, at least not on the planet.

– Haa. – She sighed. Nodding in understanding and trying to calm herself from the state of alert she was in, she relaxed her combat stance, as the adrenaline slowly left her body and she returned to a more tranquil state.

– "If that's enough for now, what are we going to do next? I suppose it's training my tail, right?" – She said, more as a statement than a question, just seeking confirmation in case.

– "Yes, you got it. The next thing we'll do is train your tail." – He nodded in confirmation.

– "So, umm... where are we going to do it? And, more importantly, what are we going to do with... this?" – She asked, a little embarrassed – though she didn't show it – pointing at the former military installation around them, where the training areas used to be, now reduced to nothing but smoldering rubble and ruins.

– "Don't worry too much about that. Situations like this have happened before and happen frequently. Nothing too important is kept in these kinds of facilities, and they can be rebuilt easily and quickly in a day or two at most, sometimes it only takes a couple of hours." – He dismissed her concerns, waving his hands dismissively at the destruction caused to the installations.

– "Besides, we weren't going to use them for what comes next anyway. We're going straight to the forest to train." – He informed her.

– "The forest? For what?" – Courgette asked, curious.

– "I'll explain it once we get there. For now, you can go ahead. I'll go fetch what we'll need." – He said, as he proceeded to leave, not without first pointing out which forest they would be going to.

Shrugging her shoulders, she simply ran off toward the forest, arriving moments later, sitting down on a nearby rock as she waited for Nappa to arrive.

...

..

.

After a few minutes, Nappa arrived, carrying several items, including a kind of large and heavy container or box, as well as other things like what seemed to be weights. As he approached flying and landed near her, he dropped the luggage he was carrying.

– "Alright, to continue your training, the next thing we'll do is train your tail. To sum things up, the tail functions just like another muscle in the body, and just as the muscles in your body can be trained to become stronger and more resistant, the tail is the same." – He explained. – "What you'll do is simple: you'll start using your tail as if it were one of your arms, lifting increasingly heavier weights once you get used to a certain load with these weights I brought, each one having a different weight category." – He said while pointing at them and explaining the purpose behind the weights.

– "You'll also use it to swing around the branches of the trees. This will not only improve your tail's grip strength and flexibility, but it will also start decreasing its fragility by strengthening it, and it will turn it into a deadly weapon that can be used like another arm or leg. Although generally, it's rarely used that way, as punches are usually preferred, and it's also more advisable to have it wrapped around your waist, reducing the chances of it being cut off." – He continued. – "You'll also grab your tail yourself or I'll grab it. While this will cause you pain or discomfort, it's also a way to get your tail used to pressure and help you strengthen it." – He concluded with the explanation.

With Courgette finally understanding the reason behind coming to the forest.

And so, the next part of the training began with Nappa, with Courgette using her tail to lift various heavy objects to exercise it. At first, it was quite difficult and uncomfortable, since just using the tail for the first time for something as exhausting as lifting weight—with such a delicate and sensitive limb as her tail currently was—meant she couldn't apply much force and it quickly weakened, making her drop the object she was carrying.

But like everything, she started little by little, lifting a weight she could manage decently from the beginning, and then gradually increasing it. And while she was doing all of this—lifting things with her tail—she was also simultaneously learning how to create an artificial moon.

The technique basically consists of making a sphere that imitates the presence of a full moon—obviously. But this is achieved by combining the Saiyan's Ki with the atmosphere of the planet they're on. This way, a sphere of condensed Blutz Waves is created, and when over 17 million Zeno's worth of Bruits Rays enter a Saiyan's eyes and transmit to their tail, they transform into an Oozaru.

Nappa emphasized a few things about using the artificial moon, things she already knew but are good to be reminded of, and that is the drawback of the technique. Using this technique is very exhausting, so it's mainly used as a last resort, and even Saiyans who can use it prefer to transform using a planetary body instead, especially since the user's battle power decreases to a certain extent when performing the technique—just like what happened to Vegeta in the canon.

Something that doesn't happen with a natural moon, and that's why, if they need to transform into an Oozaru and are going to a planet that has a moon, they time their trip to arrive exactly when there's a full moon and be able to use the Oozaru form without decreasing their power at all.

At the moment, it's quite difficult for her to do, since when she tries, at most she can only create a normal energy sphere, but this didn't discourage her at all. No matter how difficult it was to combine her own Ki with the atmosphere of Planet Vegeta. Releasing her Ki and constantly molding it into an energy sphere while regulating how much energy she put into it — not too little and not too much — only served to further improve Courgette's own Ki control, so she wouldn't complain at all about doing this.

– (Besides, learning something that, although difficult, is a very useful technique that could save my life in life-or-death situations, so it's something I definitely have to learn). – She thought, determined to learn and master the artificial moon. While seriously thinking about how useful it would be against enemies that weren't too far above her power level, and how a x10 boost could either crush or at least close the gap, for example; Dodoria. Who has a power level of 22,000. At this moment, she could crush him with overwhelming strength just by transforming.

Now she understood why they constantly used their Ozaru forms and didn't bother to train much more than flight and basic energy blasts. Because their power increases in Ozaru form are so tremendous that they could wipe out a large portion of civilizations in the universe with such overwhelming strength. Truth be told, it's quite tempting and hard not to use it at every opportunity they could, she didn't blame them at all.

¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø¸,

And so, two weeks passed, during which she continued with her training routine just like before. Nothing had changed except now she was going to the forest to carry heavy things to get her tail used to it, instead of fighting against Saibaimans. In addition to constantly sparring with Nappa, not going too serious, of course. Just as a warm-up.

Right now, she was in the forest, constantly swinging through the branches of the trees using nothing but her own tail. Days of training had paid off, and now she could use her tail as if it were just another arm, using it constantly not only to carry the weights Nappa brought but also applying it in her daily routine outside of training; she uses it while eating, while bathing, or simply to lift her own weight, among other things.

This way, her tail quickly got accustomed to being used, and thankfully so, because it had been quite uncomfortable for her just to grab her tail a bit hard and feel it completely weaken. The first time she did it, she squeezed her own tail too hard and ended up falling, her face smashing into the ground with force, eating all the dirt.

– (A very embarrassing moment). – She recalled, embarrassed. – (Especially because Nappa witnessed it, and although he didn't laugh, I saw how he was holding back a laugh. Hmph). – Courgette huffed in her thoughts. Though, she wasn't really angry.

So, summarizing what she had done so far in these two weeks. She had been swinging with her tail through the tree branches, holding heavy things, and exercising her tail in general, even having Nappa hold her tail tightly to get used to not falling weak and powerless to the ground – again.

As for the Artificial Moon, she had made quite a bit of progress. In fact, she could already create it. What's the problem? It consumes too much energy, to the point where from 5000-6000 power units that she currently has, it decreases to only 1000 units.

That's why she was focusing more on learning the artificial moon than training her tail, not that she had neglected the latter, but she had made much more progress with her tail than with the artificial moon, so she was putting more effort into creating it with as little energy expenditure as possible.

After finishing swinging through the trees, she would stop to eat for a moment, picking one of the fruits from one of the trees, positioning herself upside down on a branch – like Spider-Man – and taking a few bites.

– (If everything continues like in the canon up to a certain point, then it won't be long before Freezer takes command of the Cold Army, turning it into the Freezer Force. And while he hasn't appeared yet, his presence was already starting to be felt, as the Saiyans hadn't used the Watchtower Periscopes for a while now, but the upgraded Scouters. Therefore, Freezer had been implementing some changes for quite a while; it's just that he hasn't been given the leadership of the Interplanetary Trade Organization yet). – Courgette thought. – (As far as I know, right now it's more or less the year 730. It's in 731 when King Cold finally hands over his position to his son and informs the Saiyans, setting a countdown to his death in 737). – She analyzed in her mind seriously.

– (Still, I have time left -if everything stays the same to some extent-, since I've strengthened my tail a lot and it doesn't hurt or discomfort me much anymore, I only feel a slight tingling and weakness, and I already know how to make the artificial moon. I'm close to starting to invade planets with Nappa.) – She made an uncomfortable grimace at this, even though she had already mentally prepared for it, she still thought that the idea disgusted her. Killing Saibaimans is totally different from killing other species with intelligent life; she didn't want to become a sadistic monster who enjoyed conquests, just like the other Saiyans.

Shaking her head to stop thinking about it, she focused on another point she had remembered, her first encounter with Goku's mother.

-Flashback: A few days ago-

Courgette had been preparing to continue her training in the forest, focusing on perfecting her control with the Artificial Moon after having finished carrying things and swinging from her tail through the forest. When Nappa informed her that Gine would begin teaching her once her training was over and she returned to the castle. She would be waiting for her in the guest room.

Of course, even though she didn't show it, she was quite eager to meet her, so she simply nodded in confirmation to Nappa. She resumed her training, but in her mind, she kept thinking that she had to make a good first impression with Gine, she was important for one of her future plans.

So, once her training was finished, she headed back to the castle, making her way to the guest room. She indeed found Gine.

She has a fine face with soft features. Her large, expressive black eyes stand out, and her mouth is small with a triangular nose. Her eyebrows are thin but angular, with a serene expression on her beautiful face. Her hair is messy and spiky, with locks falling to both sides and several spikes protruding at the back. This hairstyle is typical of Saiyans.

She wears a light Saiyan armor, with no shoulder pads, adapted to her feminine body: The neck and straps are yellow with marked lines, similar to training outfits. The central chest area is teal with white edges, a more flexible model designed for greater freedom of movement.

– "You must be Miss Gine, my mother's friend and my tutor. A pleasure, I am Princess Courgette." – She introduced herself, giving a small formal bow. She did it impeccably, with an unflappable and calm demeanor. But deep down, she was trying to hide how nervous she felt; even with Nappa, she didn't feel this nervous because Gine was far more important for the future than Nappa or her father would ever be.

– "Well, there's no need to be so formal with me, Princess. As you know, I'm a friend of your mother." – She laughed lightly, giving Courgette a kind smile. This made Courgette relax, but only slightly.

She nodded in acknowledgment. – "I'll try to be less formal, Lady Gine." – Courgette said. Even so, she still addressed Gine in a formal tone. Gine sighed but let it pass; after all, it wasn't a big deal.

– "Well, in any case, to begin with, we'll start with learning how to read and write." – Gine clarified. Courgette just nodded in response. – "Of course, while I don't have much advanced knowledge in other areas, like mathematics, I can teach you the basics of all this while your mother doesn't have much time. After all, every Saiyan should at least know these things." –

– "Also, things like Saiyan culture, tales, legends, and other things, just to be more informed than anything else. But if you prefer, we could skip these things." – Gine asked Courgette. Courgette shook her head in response. – "No, any kind of information to study would be useful to me." – Gine just nodded in understanding.

– "Well then, we'll start as I mentioned, so let's begin right now." – Gine said as she took out the necessary study materials from the bag she brought.

-End of the Flashback-

And so, for the past few days, Courgette had been training and studying at the same time, nothing too heavy with the latter, mostly because the knowledge wasn't very advanced. Although her meeting with Gine wasn't much, they got along quite well, and Courgette even made a good first impression.

After all, Courgette didn't act arrogantly, nor did she flaunt her power; she just behaved rather seriously, formally, and a little distantly, but nothing more. She even thanked with a "thank you" or asked with a "please" when needed, using manners, which was quite rare among Saiyans. But Gine liked it a lot; she wasn't too arrogant – not to say she was not arrogant at all – but she wasn't too humble either. She behaved properly, as someone of her status should.

As for the classes with Gine, many would think that Saiyans are too brutish and stupid – to a certain extent, they are, but not so much – but the truth is that they are smarter than they are given credit for. I mean, literally, before destroying the planet that came before Planet Vegeta, they already had space travel technology, and they had even developed the periscopes. Not to mention they came up with a strategy against the Tsufurujin instead of just attacking blindly.

They simply didn't focus much on these kinds of things, more on warfare. In fact, it was the Frieza Force who had improved many of the things they already had, like the Scouters or the medical liquid, implementing it in recovery capsules.

But in other things; like housing. They didn't pay much attention and settled for little in these aspects.

So even though they may seem like brutes who only know how to fight, they also have scientists and other professions within the species. Learning and knowing basic math, or reading and writing isn't something they actually don't know, they just don't give it much importance.

Finishing coming out of her thoughtful state, due to sensing Nappa approaching her position, she would finish eating the fruit and then jump to the ground, landing on her feet.

Finally, Nappa would be seen behind some trees, approaching. Standing in front of her. – "Princess." – He greeted. She returned the greeting with a nod. – "I've come to inform you that you're more than ready to begin invading planets. Your progress on controlling your own power and the experience gained through training is sufficient." – He clarified. – "The next step is to gain experience on the battlefield. Once you're ready, we'll leave whenever you want. We already have a planet in sight for you to acclimate to these kinds of things." –

Courgette stayed silent, thoughtful, but it didn't take long for her to nod again to Nappa. As both headed to the improvised training zone and continued training. But one thought wouldn't stop tormenting Courgette.

– (Shit, I knew it would be soon, after all, I can't stay on the planet all the time...). – She reflected. – (Even so... Thinking that time flew by and I already progressed so much in such a short time. I guess I can also use these invasions and turn them into an opportunity to strengthen myself even more, as much as I feel sorry for those civilizations, my survival is the priority). – She convinced herself seriously, determined to survive.

As much as it disgusted her to end innocent lives, for the moment it was very necessary, her survival was above others'. She had to become strong enough for these kinds of occasions to never happen again, but, for the moment, she was too weak to avoid it.

¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø,¸¸,ø¤º°°º¤ø¸,

Courgette continued with her training for the next 5 days, with the thought of the planet invasion never leaving her mind during that time. Until she was finally mentally prepared enough to decide to do it once and for all. It was like a thorn stuck in her — the sooner she pulled it out, the better.

So, there she was with Nappa, heading to the airport on Planet Vegeta, while this time wearing a different outfit from the ones she had previously been using.

She now wore an outfit very similar to the one Vegeta wore as a child in the canon, one that represents her status as a princess: Her armor consisted of the typical large metallic gold shoulder pads. With a red cape, indicating her superior status within the Saiyan species, fastened to the shoulder pads. Her chest plate was white with defined edges, reinforced with lines marking the protective structure. And, on the left side of her chest, the symbol of the Saiyan army could be seen.

Her full-body undersuit was blue with long sleeves. She wore white gloves and boots. With her tail wrapped around her waist like a sort of belt.

–Planet Vegeta Airport, Capsule Zone–

Finally, once they spoke with the person in charge about the destination they would be heading to, they were able to board the combat capsules that had previously been prepared for them. Once inside and settled into the seat, the capsule door closed once this was done.

The capsule levitated slowly off the ground, and shortly after, it took off and left the planet's atmosphere at an impressive speed, leaving a white trail behind.

– "Princess, as I mentioned earlier, to make the trip feel shorter, we'll sleep through the entire journey to the planet. So don't worry too much about boredom; we'll wake up once we're close to arriving." – Nappa gently reminded her.

– "I know..." – Was all Courgette replied to Nappa, while she was lost in her thoughts.

– (I'm sorry...) – She silently apologized in advance to those whose lives she would take. I have no other choice, she thought with remorse, as the weight of that thought pressed heavily on her conscience.

Many would think that being reborn as someone talented, powerful, and of royalty meant her life was guaranteed, but no. It was quite the opposite — one wrong step and she could die without even knowing what hit her.

If she showed weakness, even a bit of vulnerability, she knew very well others would eat her alive. If she refused to invade planets, her father, King Vegeta, would probably disown and kill her — in the best-case scenario, exile her. But even that would mean her chances of survival would drastically drop.

One false move, like trying to save or refusing to kill the civilizations inhabiting the planets she had to conquer, could simply put her in the sights of dangerous entities in the universe — like Frieza. Because it was so unusual for a Saiyan, especially royalty, to show compassion.

If it were a weak, insignificant low-class Saiyan refusing to do this, it wouldn't matter — they'd probably just be reassigned to non-combat roles. But for Saiyan royalty, it was different. It would be seen as a disgrace, a stain to be removed for bringing such dishonor and humiliation to their class.

All of this would mark her as useless and unnecessary, leading to her elimination in the process. Especially if someone with such influence and power threatened the interests of people like King Cold or Frieza. They would opt to erase her with a single attack — and that would be it.

For now, all she can do is grow as strong as possible. Besides, her status as a princess protects her to a certain extent, and it must remain that way—she has to be useful to the Saiyans and to the Frost Demons. Without this position of power as a princess, she doesn't know what kind of unstable and unpredictable factors in the universe could take advantage of that situation to kill her or even do other things.

Also, going to other planets that are not going to be invaded, to train in them, is out of the question.

First, if she were to go, for example, to Yardrat, she would endanger its inhabitants. She is still someone important, she is being constantly monitored. If she heads to other places, they will be known to both the Saiyan army and King Cold's army. Which would practically doom them to death.

She didn't want to imagine the enormous chaos that would occur if she went to Earth—not only would she create a great divergence from the canon, but if it were invaded, things could spiral out of control in a terrible and irreversible way.

So going to known and important places where she could get stronger is out of the question—she'll only be able to do that during invasions of pre-scheduled planets.

Second, even if she were to go to planets like Namek, to have the Grand Elder unlock her potential, it's still uncertain whether he would agree to such a request. Especially because, by the time she would head to Planet Namek, she would already have her hands stained with the blood of innocent people. Besides, she is a Saiyan—royalty no less—they would be very distrustful of her presence on that planet. Adding the fact that, as mentioned, she will have killed innocent people, it would be practically impossible for them to even agree to lend her the dragon balls.

Also, she didn't want them to read her mind or dig through her memories, thank you very much.

It would be problematic for someone other than herself to have knowledge about the world. Even if they didn't go insane upon learning that they're fictional characters, the little help her knowledge could offer would be rendered practically useless once they knew the story of the world and unpredictable events were triggered because of it.

The same can be said for going to Earth—not only would she immensely scare Kami-sama, Mr. Popo, and Master Roshi with her gigantic Ki, but her Evil Ki—or rather, Ki tainted with darkness, though not truly evil, from having killed innocents—would give them a very bad first impression. Not to mention being trained, using the senzu beans, or even the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. At least not in the short term, she supposed.

Not to mention going to places like King Kai's Planet, since she didn't want to die without first making sure she could come back to life. And the other option would be going through Kami-sama, which, obviously, wouldn't work due to distrust toward a stranger—who is immensely powerful and has an Evil Ki.

As for the Time Chamber where Merus trained Goku, or where Freezer achieved his transformation without rights, she didn't know where they were located.

She also couldn't reach the Demon Realm, not only because she didn't have the necessary vehicle, but even if she did get there, it would be a death sentence with her current level of power.

Training with Whis? No way. Even if it's easy to convince him to train her, she didn't have what it took to achieve it; after all, Earth food was out of her reach. She also doubted that the current Bills would even allow her to go to his planet to train. He still hates Saiyans and even considers them a threat to the universe that needs to be eradicated. So strengthening someone of that species, especially the princess, was out of the question without a doubt. He would probably even erase her from existence for daring to suggest such a thing.

She shuddered, a wave of terror running through her just thinking about it.

And even if she somehow managed to convince them, Bills would be far too uninterested in accepting such a request, especially considering her insignificant - especially in comparison to him and Whis - power level.

So yes, she couldn't strengthen herself in any other way except by going to conquer planets, engaging in life-or-death battles, and toughening herself on the battlefield. If she tried to avoid this, she'd be in deep trouble. She needed a lot of power, so in the years she had left to live, she would strengthen herself as much as possible so she wouldn't be eliminated, at least not easily.

While she reflected on her current situation and also thought about the future, the sleepiness and fatigue slowly caused her to squint her eyes, closing them and beginning to fall asleep.

– (I have to survive and strengthen myself at all costs...) – She encouraged herself, with all the determination and conviction she could muster. As the darkness began to consume her mind, she fell asleep.

The capsules continued on their course, traversing the void and the dark immensity of outer space, leaving a trail of light behind. Heading to their destination, a planet soon to be conquered.

Hello there!!! We meet again with the promised chapter. I'm sorry for taking so long to upload it - or at least from my perspective, that's how it feels - but many things happened in such a short time that I couldn't finish it or upload it much earlier than I had planned.

To be honest, once I published the previous chapter, I already had some of this chapter written, but then I couldn't progress much with it. I had to leave the house for some matters and things like that.

Also, when I was about to start working on it and continue writing the chapter, the power went out.

Well, more than just the power, the internet also went out and wasn't working, so the data was useless because there was no internet, and I couldn't continue writing even on my phone. Even if I could, I wouldn't be able to publish it. This happened throughout most of my city. Luckily, it only lasted a day, and it finally came back, so I could quickly complete the chapter.

Anyway. How did you like it? Was it good? Mediocre? Decent? As I said, any comment would help me improve.

As for when I will start writing the next chapter and upload it, I won't give dates, that's also why I didn't set publication dates for the chapters. I anticipated that things like this could happen, or that I might have to go out and handle some matters. But I promise I won't abandon the story and will continue writing when I can.

Well, I won't keep you too long, see you in the next chapter, goodbye!!!
