The Birth of Veyra

A Few Hours Later.

Kaela sat in a dark tent outside the ruins, the Genesis Core sealed inside a containment case beside her.

Chris Redfield was speaking urgently to his team — planning defenses, gathering intelligence.

Arin was silent.

Kaela...

Kaela couldn't stop shaking.

Not from fear.

But from grief.

Riven was gone.

Or so she thought.

The Monster's Cocoon

Far inside the ruins, hidden among the rubble —

something grew.

The Hollowborn that had taken over Riven's body wasn't like before.

The Genesis Core's energy, even distant, changed her.

Her monstrous form began shrinking and reforming.

Black corrupted flesh peeled away like a cocoon.

A new shape emerged — tall, elegant, yet terrifying.

Gone was the mindless beast.

In its place stood a woman —

beautiful, terrible, and inhuman.

Her once-pale skin was now an eerie, smooth white, almost porcelain.

Ragged black wings, torn and elegant, spread from her back.

Eyes glowing violet with deep, predatory intelligence.

A mockery of angels — a fallen queen.

Veyra.

The Hollowborn had evolved.

And she remembered everything —

Riven's memories...

Kaela's kindness...

the betrayal...

the pain...

All twisted into something new.

"Kaela..." Veyra whispered in a voice that dripped honey and venom.

"You abandoned me. Now... you'll belong to me."

Her power was different now:

Not overwhelming raw destruction like before.

But sharpened, deadly precision — matching the strongest humans.

A perfect predator with a mind sharpened by grief, hate, and longing.

And she was free.

Back at Camp

Chris slammed a map down on the table.

"Listen up! We're facing a Class-S Anomaly.

This thing thinks. It adapts. And it's after the Genesis Core."

He looked straight at Kaela.

"You're her target now. All of you."

Kaela felt the heavy weight settle on her shoulders.

She gripped the table, her voice low.

"Then we fight. Whatever it takes."

Arin, even injured, smiled a little.

"That's the spirit. I'm with you."

Chris smirked grimly.

"You kids got guts. Good. You're gonna need it."

Meanwhile: Veyra Awakens

Veyra walked through the battlefield.

Every step she took —

the ground withered under her bare feet.

The surviving Hollowborn fragments recognized her — and bowed.

She was not a beast anymore.

She was their Queen.

And as she spread her blackened wings beneath the blood-red sky,

her eyes turned toward the human encampment miles away.

Where Kaela was.

Where the Genesis Core pulsed.

A cruel, elegant smile twisted her lips.

"I'm coming, Kaela..."

"And this time, you won't run."
